Book Description
In Cosmic Voyage, Dr. Courtney Brown proved the existence of extraterrestrials using Scientific Remote Viewing, a system of paranormal surveillance developed by the military. Cosmic Explorers goes one step further and introduces us to a new race of alien beings-a species which could prove a serious threat to our planet....
Customer Reviews:
Intriqueing, but not as great as could be........2004-10-17
In the first half of this title Dr. Courtney Brown explains the difference between the conscious mind and the subspace mind. And it is with the subspace mind that people at the Farsight Institute practice Scientific Remote Viewing.
He writes the proceedure of a Remote viewing Session where the viewer is given a target and views it and makes deductions as to its time/place etc...
In the second half he chronicles a continuation of his earlier work Cosmic Voyage wherein he speculated on the existence of at least two forms of extraterrestials. This part of the book was more a journal of remote viewing sessions concerning these ETs than a scientific paper, and had some metaphysical musings thrown into the mix.
Overall I found the concept of this book intriquing. Scientific Remote viewing as a subject matter immediately sparked my interest and the book will push me to probe it more. In other words I would not accuse Dr. Brown of writing flights of imagination or science fiction. However I felt that although he tried to lay out his thesis (for lack of better wording) in layman's terms there is still a lot I am ignorant of after completing this book. I didn't feel I learnt as much as I could have not neccessarily blaming Brown for that more a matter of deeper reflection on my part combined with a more accessible writing style on his. Possibly the author assumed everyone reading this book had already assumed that they had already read his other title in which case that isn't true.
A read recommended for open-minded people only as some of his theories are quite left of center.
Stages.......2000-12-07
I've not read Cosmic Explorers yet, however, my rating is based on Cosmic Voyage, which I have already read. Remote Viewers, by definition, has no "hard" tangible evidence of what they've viewed in their mind. I've never "seen" God, but believe in God's existence.
It's been said that Discovery comes in three stages: 1. It is ridiculed; 2. It is viciously attacked; and 3. It is accepted as self-evident. Remote Viewing is at Stage 2.
Boring, uninformative, vague, and anything but scientific........2000-08-17
Basically, this book is a collection of outrageous claims regarding various supposed extraterrestrial civilizations, and their interactions with one another and earthlings. No evidence is given anywhere in the book to validate these claims. A single publication -- the Journal for Scientific Exploration, which examines topics "ignored by mainstream science"--is mentioned, but not a word from the journal is included. Worse, the book is boring, vague, and uninformative. Alien civilization is described only briefly and in the most ambiguous of language, while every banal detail how to do "scientific remote viewing" from the comfort of your own home devours nearly all of the book. If you want to know where to find a good restaurant on the Reptilian home world, the e-mail address of the Galactic Federation, or the Martians favorite baseball team, try the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy instead.
Ph. D., MIT, BS...yes! A review of the reviewers:.......2000-07-09
I haven't read "Cosmic Explorers" yet, just "Cosmic Voyage" so far, but I just needed to say something to these extremely educated reviewers down below. I'm sure you are all very intelligent, and have worked extremely hard (and spent a great deal of money) to get your degrees and titles. Please remember one thing, however: hundreds of years ago, people with educational backgrounds similar to yours insisted that the Earth was the center of the universe, it was flat, and that monsters rested just beyond the edge of the horizon. This was scientific fact back then, and there was apparently a great amount of scientific "proof" establishing it.
Scientific Fact: the larger the mind is, the more difficult it is to open.
Thank you.
An excellent example of nonsense.......2000-05-19
This book shows what can happen when an intelligent person gets involved with very high strangeness without being grounded. While you wouldn't be convinced that remote viewing is real from this book, there is enough solid evidence elsewhere to believe that it exists. Unfortunately, the leap the author takes from a poorly understood perceptual anomaly to malevalent aliens among us is much better explained as simple psychological projection than as anything even hinting at truth. You read through this book, hoping that the author will eventually apply some solid reality-testing, or even display a moment of thoughtful self-reflective assessment of his message. But you search in vain.

Book Description
The ACE-2000 Symposium summarizes experimental and theoretical aspects of the acceleration and transport of high-energy particles in space. Included are new results from NASA's Advanced Composition Explorer (ACE) and other spacecraft on particles accelerated by the Sun and by interplanetary shocks, and on the acceleration of cosmic rays by supernova blast waves. Topics include: solar energetic particles, interplanetary acceleration, anomalous and galactic cosmic rays in the heliosphere, and cosmic rays in the galaxy.

Book Description
Measurements of the composition of various bodies and particles in the solar system and the galaxy give us a remarkably accurate understanding of how the galaxy or the solar system formed. This workshop joined the various communities concerned with the composition of the Sun and its surroundings. It united workers from two very active space missions, the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) and the Advanced Composition Explorer (ACE). It was not limited to scientists analyzing and interpreting data gathered with instruments on these two spacecraft, but was open to the wider community. Topics include: solar and solar system abundances; coronal and solar wind composition; energetic particle composition; galactic composition; fractionation, acceleration, and transport processes; as well as applications and constraints on cosmochemistry.
