5 out of 5 stars the most Enlightening, Important and Profound book i've ever read.......2007-03-27

if you are curious as to the cause, nature and origin of the critical state of disharmony on our planet, The Children of The Law of One & The Lost Teachings of Atlantis by (the now late) Jon Peniel is the most comprehensive, informative and authentically true book i've found on The Matter.

with humor and aplomb the CLO & LAT explained everything to me about "life" as we know and experience it in/on the extant (3D five sense reality) incarnated plane of existence we live/operate in/on. the CLO & LAT also caused me see, literally and figuratively, The Light -- especially understanding, appreciating and coming to terms with the fact that we are indeed spiritual beings having a human experience (as opposed to human beings having a spiritual experience or even human beings having a human experience).

if you are wanting to know the origins of our being here, how things "devolved", why things are the way they are in our world/plane of existence today, how they got this way -- the details and history of how the whole "mess" started, who/what is responsible, what's gonna happen next/how the "mess" is going to be "cleaned" up, what needs to be done, how to better yourself and live life so as to be an exemplar for others, etc. -- essentially all of life's mysteries and questions explained -- then this is The Book for you.

an excellent companion book imho, Fallen Angels and the Origins of Evil: Why Church Fathers Suppressed the Book of Enoch and Its Startling Revelations, is Most Congruent and dovetails very well with the CLO & LAT teachings on what Went Wrong and what's gonna happen to Right Things.

5 out of 5 stars Jon Peniel, YOU ARE MY CHAMPION, Thank You So Much!!!.......2006-11-20

The message (teachings) in this book is so alive and written with such clarity that it brilliantly shines and awakens your inner being. If you are a person whose soul aches for spiritual truth this book will remedy that pain.

5 out of 5 stars Wish this world was a better place?.......2006-05-15

Wish this world was a better place?
Wish you had control of changing things?
Well, you do have control of changing yourself. And only yourself, for sure.
If eveyone wanted to see themselves and change for the better, then this world would be a much better place to be. Right?!

Where to start? How to change? Start right here with this book.
This book rings your inner bell of truth, touches your soul, and if you really want to change, then you will love it. You will realize that you have found your way 'home' to true unselfish love and a better life. I have read other spiritual books but none of them felt so real and true like this one.

I read this book for the first time 4 years ago. I have read it so many times and will continue to do so. It helps me soooo much and leads the way for me; answers my questions. It's truly amazing! I get more out of it each time I read it. This book has totally and positively changed my life for the better. It gives me something real, true and worthwhile to live for. I hope you will read it, finding your path to truth and peace in your heart and soul.

I leave you with the other reviews to learn more about the book, specifically.

5 out of 5 stars How to be Happy, Have Inner Peace and Live a Fulfilled Life.......2006-04-04

Imagine having all your questions about the meaning of life answered in one book...

Imagine learning the secrets of inner peace, happiness, and love answered in easy-to-understand language....

Imagine having someone teaching you step-by-step how to have the wonderfully beautiful, and deeply meaningful relationships that you always dreamed of...

Imagine someone revealing the "hidden mysteries" of life and the universe in a way that will instantly transform your life for the better....

That's what The Lost Teachings of Atlantis did for me and other's who have read it.

If you've been frustrated with society's or religion's lack of consistent answers to the many mysteries of the universe, then The Lost Teachings of Atlantis is the answer you've been looking for.

Not only does it give you the answers to your search for TRUTH, LOVE and FREEDOM, the author gives you a step-by-step, easy-to-follow blueprint to achieving the type of life you have always craved for deep in your soul.

If I had only one book to bring with me on a deserted island, this is the one...

5 out of 5 stars Clarity and Inspiration for those Thirsty!.......2006-03-24

The Lost Teachings of Atantis is a book of inspiration. Yes, it definitely challenges how we see the world and what we think of ourselves, but in saying that it invites us to look candidly at how we live our personal life and how we can change it in every waking moment. It educates the reader on how to develope and cultivate their own spiritual growth from an ancient spiritual path minus the tapestry of religion, ritual, or division. In its simplicity, it relates to the reader profound spiritual wisdom in a crystal clear narrative about one mans path to enlightenment. I give it 5 stars!

From the author: Legal scholars have long debated the efficacy and necessity of videotaping investigative interviews with children when allegations of child sexual abuse have surfaced. This debate has been advanced from the perspectives of adversaries in the criminal justice system, prosecutors and defense advocates. Absent from this debate has been the perspective of the broader community. This debate has failed to consider how other investigative tools might be used in conjunction with videotaping to advance the interests of the community. Moreover, the debate about videotaping has taken place with little actual data. This Article seeks to accomplish two goals. First, it seeks to consider the interests of the broader community in the debate about whether investigative interviews of children in cases of suspected child sexual abuse should be videotaped. Second, this Article presents both quantitative and qualitative data from a single county "s longstanding use of a protocol for investigating these difficult cases. The author concludes that videotaping, when used as one element of an integrated protocol for investigating child sexual abuse, can serve the interests of the community.

        Book Description

This is the first volume in the three volume collection entitled Children and the Law. Volume one, The State as Child Protector , focuses on the obligations of the state to ensure the protection of children. It treats the obligation of the state to intervene on behalf of a child. Issues include the rights of parents to educate children, to retain custody of children, and to inflict corporal and noncorporal punishment on children. Volume one also covers the state's lack of obligation to intervene in the private sphere of the family, i.e. the right of the state to remain neutral in cases of abuse, threat, or in cases where decisions made by the head of a household might appear to compromise the welfare or best interest of a child.

This is a story about a single mother losing custody of her young son. The author traces back her steps that would eventually lead her through the legal system and to court. M.J Kain offers her opinions of how one might avoid a situation, such a custody dispute, and how to deal with it by other means.

            Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Informative, fast reading, and a touching story........1998-11-30

I thought it was a very moving story. It really shows that the courts don't always favor the mother in a custody battle as it is commonly assumed.

I really respect the author for sharing her personal life to all who read. It was necessary to do so for others to understand how the court system may or may not work for them.

I am not a parent, but hope a parent in a custody battle buys the book and gains insight and strength from it. I say "parent" instead of mother because I know of a father in a similar situation.
