Customer Reviews:
Sweet!.......2007-06-11
Ah well fitting ending to a trilogy that has both awesome drawing by Jae Hawn Kim and (allthough relativly short)a rich story. Nice battles and story plots come together in a good finishing book of the trilogy. For the enthousiast a nice 3rd book and ending of the story. Too bad its the final part, because I think there could be much more of these stories.
Story picks up some speed. Art is as great as the first two.......2007-06-06
The third and final book of the Sunwell Trilogy was pleasing to me. While I thought the first two books were pretty shallow as far as the plot goes, this one had a somewhat deeper feel. As the story reaches its climax, with the Sunwell's power being revealed, the action actually gets pretty intense. Also, the addition of a couple of cool new characters (especially Sylvanas) gives more depth and details more of the background for the story. So, props for Knaack for finishing off the series with some substance.
As before, the art is the major selling point for these books. Jae-Hwan's talent is amazing and really brings the story to life.
Good, but a little anti-climatic.......2007-05-24
Yeah, so I read the whole 3 books in this series and they were good, I enjoyed them but it seemed to be over a little quickly. There was an epic battle and all but it seemed to be over too quickly.
Good, but I would have liked a stronger ending.
Great finale to the Trilogy.......2007-05-23
Wonderful manga! The artistic side was well done and the dialogue was intriguing and attention-grabbing. A must for anyone who loves the Warcraft saga.
A quick wrap-up........2007-04-21
The first two novels really built...and this one was like the end of a Scooby Doo Mystery. The rip the monster's mask off, go "OMIGOSH!" everyone has a good laugh, all loose ends are tied up conveniently and you're left wondering "Why did I bother reading this trilogy?"
Art's amazing. But it feels like Richard A. Knaak was writing a sextet instead of a trilogy. Book # 3 should've continued building...and then books 4-6 are the dramatic conclusion.
If only.
I suppose if you're a WoW clone who never played WC1,2,3, or any expansions this book will be fine because it's probably new and exciting. But hey, WoW is awesome, right? So anything with the same logo = spend money!

Book Description
Megan Barrows has retired from a brief career as a ghostbusting psychic and now uses her sixth sense to fill her Seattle antiques store with objects with happy pasts. After once nearly having the soul sucked out of her by a malevolent spirit, she prefers a quiet life.
Case Lambert is a real estate prospector who restores old houses, then sells them for profit. He has just bought a dilapidated mansion so amazing that he wants to keep it for himself, but the house appears to be haunted. Seriously haunted. A few inquiries lead him to Megan Barrows.
Megan at first refuses to help, but Case is a master of persuasion. Moving into the mansion, they discover that one of the ghosts has a thing for Case -- and there may be even more amorous spirits inside this veritable paranormal vortex. But it soon becomes clear that no one -- dead or alive -- can stop Megan and Case from ending up in each other's arms. . . .
Customer Reviews:
should not have been published.......2007-05-10
This book was so horribly written, I wonder if an editor saw it at all! What was the author thinking? Really silly interplay between the characters, and I don't mean that in a good way. By the end of the book, I didn't care about either the hero or heroine. Skip this story.
Kind of dry, just so-so.......2007-03-28
I've never read a Lisa Cach book that I wanted to re-read or keep. Some are just ok, and some are just skimmers that go straight to the used book store. This book is no exception thus far.
Although most of Lisa Cach's books have very engaging plots, her characters are kind of 1 dimensional.
In this book, Case, a carpenter who buys fixer-uppers and resells them, finds the house of dreams that he wants to keep for himself. The only problem is that it's haunted by ghosts that are always molesting him at night in his bed or doing odd things around the house. Meagan, an antique store owner and retired ghost hunter; is offered the job of getting rid of the ghosts since she is known to have the 6th sense in speaking/seeing ghosts.
The story started out well, but the scenes got repetitive, and the main characters weren't very engaging. The ghosts were the most engaging of the characters, except their personalities or justifications for their actions were never truly explained. Why would a living person trap a ghost to a house? How did the owners know to trap a ghost if the ghost had died way before the owners? The conclusion never resolved all the questions I had in the book and was an extremely contrived no explanation happy ending.
Perhaps the story would have been better for me if the books was steamier, but frankly, the hero getting molested by ghosts or possesed people were a little hotter.
I think this is the last book of Lisa Cach I will buy new. In the future, I will only buy from used book stores. This one is definitely getting dropped of there too. Of the Lisa Cach books, the only one that I truly liked was "Dream on Me".
A BABE IN GHOSTLAND.......2007-03-16
A REAL PAGE TURNER KEEPS YOU ON YOUR TOES TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHO OR WHAT IS HAUNTING THE HOUSE. AND WHEN WILL THE TWO MAIN CHARACTERS FINALLY GET IT ON!!!
Paranormal Romance.......2007-01-13
I was not impressed with either the cover or the title of this book. However, the back cover was more informative. I found it to be a warm and interesting read. The author's recent novels were paranormals that depended alot on supernatural mythology and this is a contemporary ghost story.
Megan Berrows is not longer pursueing a career as a psychic because of a bad experience while working with Eric Ramsey. Eric is an electronic ghostbuster who works with a lot of high tech instruments. He knows that Megan is for real and sends Case Lambert to her antique shop to try and get her help. Megan has always been able to sense things about the materials she touches.
Case is a real estate developer who has bought an old house he is starting to rebuild. Unfortunately for him there is something going on in the old place. Case is a definite skeptic and only after he has personally experienced a frightening incident does he begin to search for someone to help him find out what is going on. And if possible remove the disturbing elements in the house.
Case and Megan make a deal, if she finds and proves there are spirits causing his problems he will give her 20 pieces of the choice furniture in the house. If Eric can prove a normal reason for the problems she agrees to restore all of the furniture in the house.
After One visit Megan knows she can't loose. She agrees to move into the house with Case and Eric until a conclusion is reached.
From that point on the read is wonderful, a great ghost story, a warm romance and never a dull moment. This is a fast paced story and I enjoyed it.
fun paranormal romance .......2007-01-06
In Seattle, Washington, Case Lambert stops at Megan Barrows' store Antique Fancies giving the owner palpitations of the heart. A realtor who restores old houses before selling them, he does not want to buy any of her items that only contain happy memories except her services to rid his new purchase of an apparent ghost; though first he tests her with his family heirloom, a watch owned by his doting grandmother. Megan, having almost lost her soul during her ghostbusting days, passes the test easily but refuses to intervene especially when he mentions parapsychologist Eric Ramsay recommended her. Megan's best friend Tracie Thomas accepts the job for her at an exorbitant fee, dinner with his cute butt.
He already lives in the mansion though it is not renovated and has two reasons for wanting her to stay there with him. First he is very attracted to her and second though a skeptic he is taking no chances that ghosts share his home. She quickly concludes he has several ghosts residing there including a ghost who has the hots for the hunk almost as much as Megan wants him. Of course the Smithson sister spirits have other plans with Eric as their milieu, but no one can prevent Megan and Case from falling in love.
A BABE IN GHOSTLAND is a fun paranormal romance starring a likable lead duet who fall in instant lust even before the first ghost appears. The story line is fast-paced as Megan's rival is from the beyond. Though the tale is somewhat to romantic fantasy form, sub-genre readers will enjoy Lisa Cach's fascinating tale of ghosts trying to prevent a mortal romance.

Customer Reviews:
Excelent Read.......2006-03-23
I really enjoyed the "Magic Time" series. This book was by far my favorite out of the series. Unlike the first in the series, this book was easy to get into right from the start. It finalized the story line in a very conclusive manor.
excellent fantasy.......2004-11-15
The experiment Source devastated nature by destroying electric energy and changing people by enhancing their key traits into a caricature like magical essence. Many have died including those who have trusted weary former attorney Cal Griffen; he feels he failed them all in the end though none would fault him. Still he has no time to mourn as his evanescent younger sister Christina the ballerina vanished to wherever the storm floated her like a bubble.
His quest to find Tina took him from New York to Chicago where Magritte, one of the people Cal feels he failed died. The journey for Cal and his pilgrims continue westward through deadly cities where the Source holds sway with magic that threaten to destroy the earth. Cal's band of brothers, sisters, and other essences enter the dangerous Ghostlands reaching Mount Rushmore, pivotal foci of the Source. The troupe faces their worst magically enhanced customized nightmarish fears in this last stand to save human existence on this plane; to succeed against the overwhelming powers of the enemy, they need Tina on their side and not part of the Source.
Fantasy fans will devour the final Magic Time tale that is a terrific confrontation between the remnants of metamorphosis humanity vs. the offspring Source. Interestingly the theme is not a simplistic good vs. evil scenario, but instead is more along the lines of the Frankenstein warning. The story line is action-packed from the first pyre to the final fire, but never neglects the key characters as their characteristics remain critical to the entertaining story line. MAGIC TIME GHOSTLANDS can stand alone, but is further enhanced with reading the previous two novels, MAGIC TIME and MAGIC TIME ANGELFIRE.
