I bought this for my dad I had to get this set because it was the only way to get the Meanwhile back at the whiskey gogo because he has the record and liked it the other disc he didn't really care for but he was happy because of the other one.

When I bought this double cd pkg, I was overjoyed because my husband had "Rocks the Folks" and "Whiskey a-go-go" on LP's and they got misplaced when we moved and he was very upset but now we have the cds. The sound quality is way better. Anyone who is a true Johnny River's fan wouldn't be disappointed with these cds.

I have been looking for this CD remake of these LPs for close to 10 years!! My dad used to play all these old tunes when I was a kid, and the old record is worn out. Thanks Amazon.com!!

Rocks the Folk is a GREAT Album!.......1999-03-07

I remember listening to this album as a kid. All the great folk songs but sung even better by Johnny Rivers. If you like folk music at all, the classics are here and they are great arrangements. I'm so glad I found this album on Amazon.com!
