Anouk is Dutch and very popular in her country. Her voice range is impressive and its texture powerful.
Once again in 'Hotel New York' we come across her familiar rock style, the self-exploration lyrics, the subtle irony that defines rock. Tracks such as 'Girl', 'Jerusalem' and 'Lost' remind us why we like Anouk, and also point out the indisputable fact that pure female rock is actually so hard to find!
Would definitely recommend to both classic and modern rock collectors. Would also recommend to female rock voices collectors.

when studying,cleaning...this is not the right choise,you WILL
stop doing it and find yourself listen to the music.Thank god
the world have many great singers and is full of nice music,
unfortunately they don't always meet like in this case...
I have liked Anouk since the first album,but to be honest only
a few song on the earlier albums really stand out.Now to the
hotel...the tracks is in perfect harmony whit rock,pop,reagge
and so on.Every track is good and many of them... hm,well even better.Her voice is raw,powerfull,sensitive and you can hear
that SHE sings from the heart and that means a lot.

2005 Issued Special Edition of the Dutch-born Pop Star's Third Full Length Studio Album that was Originally Released in 2004 and Stayed in the Dutch Top 100 for the Rest of '04 and Into the First Quarter of 2005. The Album Yielded the Hits "Girl" (Which Became the Best Selling Single Ever by a Female Artist in the Netherlands), "Lost", "Jerusalem" and "One Word". The Album Peaked at #2 on the Charts, but Still Managed to Sell in Excess of Three Million Copies. At the Belgian Tmf Awards (Benelux Equivalent of MTV Music Awards), the Album was Awarded Best International Album, "Girl" was Awarded Best Single Video and Anouk Herself was Awarded Best Female National Artist" (Despite the Fact that She is Dutch).
