Terrible gamble for anyone except the biggest fans simply due to the horrible consistency of getting only one track that resembles the exciting qualities inherent with the groups way better work, and another long track that plays like a lazy beat-fest session of uninspired undertaking. Strictly for those familiar and engaged with everything else Battles have put out

Battles know what they're doing. They didn't come into this deal with that adolescent inexperience and uncertainty of what direction to take. Their former musical projects already have them at the top of their game, and their sound was patented to a tee from the very first recording. I put off buying this EP for awhile; I was wary of 'Fantasy' because of their other underwhelming electronic blip-and-bleat tracks such as 'Uw' and 'Bttls'. As it turns out, the track isn't half-bad, especially on headphones. Also, 'Tras' is probably Battles' most accessible track, with a rock propulsion that makes it instantly palatable. Not a bad buy at all, especially if you already have the other EPs. I can't wait for future releases. Oh wait, I forgot about the 'Tras' video. I was disappointed, because I was expecting a live performance, but instead I got this white-washed recording that reminded me of a Macintosh commercial.

I completely loved EP C. Made me want more BATTLES. HOWEVER, This was NOT quite the ep I was hoping for. The opening track 'Tras' is actually perfect (i love handclaps!)... but the second track, which at over 9minutes i thought would have lots of potential...not so much. Kind of drones on. Not much guitar-work. Would be great if it was part of a larger album maybe. Lets just say that since EP C and this one cost me the same amount....much more bang for the buck going with another album of theirs. Havent' seen the video yet though...maybe that'll take it up to 4stars???

Great Salsa CD, good rythm, smart lyrics........1998-12-31

Great comeback for the Colon-Blades combination. Very nice arrangements and vocals by both Willie and Ruben. The tribute to Hector Lavoe (first track) is very touching. A most have for the Colon Fan, an a great introduction to new comers.

Intelligent, Humorous, Makes You Wanna Dance!.......1998-06-30

I love this CD. The instrumental arrangements are intelligently written, the vocals cleverly amusing and the hooks ever so catchy that you can't help but wanna dance. Mr. Blades does it again!

The CD comes from a TV show La Banda de Cantinino on an Argentina channel. I don't speak spanish but my friend does and she is absolutely obsessed with them. The show has some bands but its biggest band is Ktrask. It consists of two boys, now 13 and 12 and three girls 12,11 and 10. They really do work hard and they dance really well with orignial choreography. Remember I said I don't speak Spanish but I know the words to the songs even though I have no idea what they are saying. It's just so catchy. It's a great way to learn the flow of spanish in a fun way!

This group of Argentinian youth are great. All songs are in Castillian (Spanish) and have a wonderful array of songs and music. Songs are aimed at a younger audience around grade school. But the music is great and I often listen to it myself! Songs talk about 'puppy' love, about "Mrs. Cow" and all the great products that come from her. My kids love the music and dance to it. A very danceable beat with some latino rythms along with a couple of love songs. You will love the music and if you speak Spanish, you will love the simple, melodic lyrics.
