Hey Rudies all around! I have to say that I agree wholeheartedly with the "Bearclaw". (Wow! Someone else knows the "Onion" Song! Although I'm not surprised it's him.) This album is definitely worth owning. It's a fabulous addition to any ska lover's collection. The album is tight and has a more "grown-up" sound. The only thing that could have made it better would have been seeing it live in Japan.

Worth it.......2006-03-17

This CD is hard to find but definitely worth owning. This is the first official live recording post-QMaxx, and there's definitely a noticeable difference in energy level and sound. What the Slackers have lost in QMaxx's bombasity, they've made up in a tighter sound, better harmonies, and an older sound. That's not to say I didn't like Marq Lyn, because I absolutely loved him. However, it's great to hear that the band has moved on well without him.

This CD has a good amount of the Slacker's classics -- Married Girl and Have the Time among them. This is the first release with In Walked Capo and the second with Propogranda -- both from Peculiar and both sounding really good hear. The surprise appearance by Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra is what really pushes this CD over the top.

God protects the Onion Sandwich.......2006-02-28

Well, the Slackers have been around for quite a few years, now, and they never cease to please. This is one of the best live Ska albums I've ever heard. From the first track to the last the listener is bombarded with sweet ska licks and humorous anecdotes from lead singer Vic Ruggiero. The only thing that could have made this album any better is if the Kings of Slack had played the Onion Sandwich Song, my favorite of all Vic's compositions. To all the Rude Girls and Rudies: Buy this album, and enjoy. It is well worth the sticker price.
