5 out of 5 stars Outstanding CD!.......2006-08-14

This is a great collection of songs and very uplifting and inspirational. All of the songs are beautifully written and sung by Brooke Fraser. I listen to it over and over again. If you want to hear something fresh and inspiring, have a listen to this one. It's a must have.

5 out of 5 stars Great Find... a Pleasant surprise.......2006-02-27

I had $8 NZ left at the airport when leaving Christchurch, NZ this January. There was a table of CD's, priced at $8.00 So, I asked for a NZ artist and the clerk suggested this album, What to Do with Daylight.

This was such a pleasant 'find'. I really enjoy Brooke's style, and her music. She has a soulful voice, and seems to pull from many styles. I would classify her work as a bit of Sarah McLaughlin, Louise Goffin and similar.

I like Save the World the best, followed by Lifeline.

5 out of 5 stars It's Not What You Say But What You Do.......2007-06-13

It is amazing to me that people write reviews on an album when they are only to belittle the person more than their music. I am a kiwi born and breed from NZ and have had the pleasure of both hearing and watching Brooke mature into an amazing song writer of unquestionable talents.

In short, this album is a delight to listen to. While it is not all about "God this" and "God that", it is most certainly Christian to the core. There is a subtlty there that has allowed it to cross into mainstream music and reach far more people than what a purely "Christian" album would. It is more reminisant of a diary sharing a lifes experiences to date and finding encouragement in the little things.

Her second album is even better than this, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Brooke has become an ambassador for NZ and I look forward to the rest of her albums knowing that they will be of the same high quality.

    5 out of 5 stars Brooke rocks!.......2006-01-02

I am not actually under 13 but anyway, may as well write something. Brooke's music amazes me. It so pure and really makes you think of who you are and who you want to be. The people who said that she should write some Christian songs should actually have a look at the words and think of what they really mean. If you haven't felt something for anyone i kind of understand what you mean but once you have felt love, you actually undertand the lyrics. A lot of her songs do make sense and are about God. I love it how she has a mixture of songs about relationships with God and people who she really likes. It seems like the people who put her down are extremely picky and are not satisfied with great music. Also, the person that said that they have a stronger faith than brooke, what right do you have to compare your amount of faith to her. It's not about how long you have had faith it's about the amount, strength and commitment of it. God would be very disappointed that you even wrote something like that.
To all the Brooke fans, I hope God strengthens and encourages your faith through her music.

I was introduced to Brooke Fraser's music just a few weeks ago when she performed live at my church in LA (www.oasisla.org). She blew me away! She was so vulnerable and real--so endearing . . . and talented like you wouldn't believe. She is a true artist, but not in any way a diva or drama queen. Her music is beautiful, and touching, and completely relatable. Check her out. You won't regret it!

    5 out of 5 stars Standing Ovation.......2005-08-22

I had the pleasure of hearing Brooke sing live today; she was a guest at our church in LA ... and did she EVER sing her heart out. She brought tears to people's eyes and inspired a standing ovation ... this in a city and church where we're used to people who can sing. She is absolutely awesome. I recommend her CD to anyone who likes to smile, be encouraged and live out life with great music playing in the background. You go Brooke!
