Warm and comfy.......2004-11-22

I can best define this as electronic pop wrapped in a warm blanket with a cup of hot chocolate by its side...except hot chocolate never left me humming for weeks. Love is slathered with barbed hooks and, as another reviewer recognized perfectly, a complete lack of pretension. Matthew Adam Hart's music radiates an innocent energy in its production, without being "cute."
If you can find it, buy it. If you can't, get Let's Get Ready To Crumble, which is just as inviting.

Just go out and buy this. Original, fun, clever and sad all wrapped into one. Tell your friends, this is one band to watch! The most exciting thing I've heard in ages.

New Order for a new generation?.......2001-04-20

Take your favorite things about New Order, channel Brian Wilson while adding a touch of indie geeks The Magnetic Fields and mix it all together in your bedroom and you get The Russian Futurists. This is fantastic music from a twenty-something bedroom composer. "Science of the Seasons" was the best song I heard last year, bar none. Totally without pretension, this charming album on a micro-indie label is an investment in pleasure. After a few listens, you will feel compelled to share it with a friend.
