5 out of 5 stars A Psychedelic Masterpiece.......2006-08-26

Not only is this album a masterpiece of psychedelia, it is musical masterpiece. I continued to listen to this album even after my unimpressed first listening. I'm on about my 15th listen and it's still getting better. All the musicans on this album are more than proficient at what they play. The lead singer Bill Cosby plays some crazy organ and the guitarist is capable of spinning out some tasy licks. The drummer is nuts and the base player holds up the other half of rythm section, all with with a healthy dose of fuzz.

3 out of 5 stars hello psychedilc completists.......2005-11-09

i really wanted to like this one better than i do. but the leader of this band, bill cosby, just doesn't quite have it. the drums are amazing, when the are let loose, and that's only on a couple of tracks. so are the guitars--but again, only on a couple of tracks. the lyrics, let's face it, are insipid, and often the vocal phrasings do not match the music--lyrical lines feel sound like they are rushed to match the music, like they are trying to catch up to the sometimes insanely instense music. oh, and the vox . . . good god, bill cosby should've left his guitarist to sing lead ("the sun never shines" sung by the guitarist proves that one). overall, this one just falls flat. the organ sounds childish (bill should've probably picked up a hammond or a farfisa at some point). the guitar and the drums, again, are never really let loose. but when they are, man, does this one get you. buy it later; don't buy it now. buy it for the couple of tracks that really work (probably three or four of them). but buy something more important first or even something more obscure first if you're some kind of compulsive completist (united states of america maybe? os mutantes maybe? group 1850 maybe?). sundazed again repackages this one well, however. if you've been looking for it, pick it up. the bonus tracks aren't much (just the regular studio tracks minus vox), but the liner notes are good enough, giving just enough insight to this band and the the futures of its members. these guys came from out of nowhere, went nowhere and readily immeresed themselves in nowhere soon after. i've given it three stars not so much because it's a good record, or even a good band. The good moments dazzle, the packaging is good but, man, do the bad moments ever fizzle. More like a two if you're not a psyhedlic completist.

5 out of 5 stars If you wanted to listen to some Psychedelic music..........2002-06-05

Listen this! There is full of every essence of psychedelic music in this CD. What is "psychedelic" music? It's to enjoy your life, to feel happiness and poignancy and to think what your life is with music, I guess. There will be some kind of answer to live on your own life.

5 out of 5 stars At Long Last.......2001-07-28

Finally, this album has been re-released, at long last! Quality is great, and a major improvement over the bootlegs that have been circulating.
