Awesome! Gabe's style reminds me of both Paul McCartney and Bruce Hornsby. Easy listening and the music is exceptional.

I saw Gabe Dixon in concert and he is phenomenal. He is one of the best piano players I've heard since Billy Joel. Gabe actually played for Paul McCartney in concert, so you know he has to be good. The music is relaxing, easy to listen to and very easy to appreciate.

Dixon didn't disappoint........2006-03-21

I heard the song "All is Well" in the commercials for 'Conviction' on NBC and didn't rest until I found it. The music is very engaging and listening to the whole CD is time well spent. It is live so that detracts - just a little. Has a similar sound to Bruce Hornsby of whom I'm a great fan. Nice little CD.

The guy is a super song writer/singer. Hopefully he will record a full length cd in the near future.

Fans of the show will find much here to like.......2006-02-18

No real superstars here but 16 songs from mostly up and coming artists doing performances that they recorded for the radio show from Philadelphia. Many of the performances are a little bit more stripped down than the studio versions.
The songs are all songs that received heavy airplay on the World Cafe and WXPN, the station that produces it. Artists include Keane, Jem, 5 for Fighting, Mindy Smith. Los Lobos, the Thrills, Van Hunt, Sarah Harmer, the Old 97's, and others. If you want a complete song listing go to their website- wxpn.org.
