Pretty Good Album.......2005-11-28

Regardless of whether or not you like the Killers, this CD is pretty good. I love classical music, and this CD is not a disappointment.

The songs are a little shorter than the originals, but still manage to be pretty good. It's amazing what they've done with just a few classic instruments and no synthesizer. The mood of the songs are a little different from the album, it's not so much "night" music, as it is... classic. You can picture yourself eating in a brightly lit, fancy French cafe with this music in the background, rather than being at a club or on the streets at night.

The only problem is that the music lacks a certain amount of energy, which was present on the original album.

I would still reccomend this CD to anyone who likes classical music and the Killers.

If you like The Killers this Cd rocks! I love the Hot Fuss Cd and this one is just as good. I highly recommend this Cd for all Killer fans!

The Killers have a tribute album...already?.......2005-04-26

Okay, "Hot Fuss" came out about 10 months ago and now The Killers are one of the most popular bands of the 'indie' genre. Is it too soon for The String Quartet to turn songs like "Mr. Brightside" and "Somebody Told Me" into Muzak pieces? The answer is yes but...they did a pretty good job of it. I am not recommending this cd unless you love The Killers AND you don't mind listening to the songs turned around 180 degrees into 'chamber music'. Try to preview it first.

I love this single too bad they did'nt make a video for it. They could have released it with the single which could have made it better. But hey I still love this single and the cover is so great. I collect all the singles and albums by them. Highly reccommend this and all there other stuff

Smiled but then frowned.......2005-08-25

First off let me tell you: I LOVE THE KILLERS... I've bought their cd 3 times. The first time was the domestic edition 11 songs. Then I saw the import that had a bonus track and a video so I paid 19.99 plus tax for it. Then I saw the TOUR EDITION with 14 songs and a dvd with the videos!! So I paid 40 dollars for it. I also bought some singles since some of them are hard to find. One those singles was "Smile Like You Mean It"; Now I love "Smile Like You Mean It" and I was really excited to see a B-Side but when I listened to it I was like "I PAID 12 BUCKS FOR THIS SONG?!" This song is soooooooo much different from THE KILLERS I/We know it is soooooooo weird but somehow it makes you listen to it even though you don't really like it. The lyrics are somewhat dark and you don't really understand what he (BRANDON) is saying cos he is not really singing. For FANATICS (LIKE ME) ONLY!!

This import of Smile Like You Mean is not all new material.It has 3 tracks.Track 1 is Smile Like You Mean It, track 2 is Change Your Mind, and track 3 is Mr.Brightside-The Lindbergh Palace Remix.If you have already bought Hot Fuss, it is not really important that you buy this CD.
The only reason to buy it is probably the remix of Mr.Brightside,which is pretty good. On an end note I would say this CD is only for big fans of the band and if you have Hot Fuss, you won't be missing anything really.

If you already have Hot Fuss, you probably don't need to buy this, but if you do, it comes with a great remix of Mr.Brightside.If you are a die hard fan like me, you should pick this one up.I bought mine for 2.99.
