4 out of 5 stars It Came From NashVegas and got stronger and stronger and..........2005-12-29

I knew there had to be another Demo tape out there
somewhere that had those great old Webb Wilder cuts
from that 1986 Concert at the Exit Inn - and now we
have them. It's good to see this back in print/cir-
culation again since it faded away several years ago.

I first bought it on vinyl (showing my roots again!
many years ago and still love it. Minor drawback with
that borong cover of Steve Earl's '...'Right Hand'
again but 25 strong songs aside, still the best Webb
ever did - though not by much! The 'Idol of Idle Youth'
is BAACKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Guitar rock & roll will leave you breathless.......2005-03-19

Git it! Git it! Git it! Great guitar work, great song writing, great sound. A MUST have for any Americana and/or Rock & Roll fan.

Went to the Album Release Party in Chicago and was amazed that the band keeps getting stronger and stronger. The re-mastered "It Came From Nashville" along with the added tracks is proof positive that Webb is an electrifying artist. Even if you have the original, you need to add this to your WW collection. The live tracks are crisp and the music is incredible -- as always, leaving you wanting more Webb.

5 out of 5 stars New and Improved.......2004-09-16

This is the Sept.2004 re-release by Landslide Records of Webb Wilder's legendary first album. The Deluxe Full-Grown Edition.
It's all remastered and sounds great. It's a mix of live and studio tracks. The songs are roots-rock at it's finest. There are also 6 extra live tracks from the same show that produced the original live material, plus more of Webb's witty banter. 26 tracks, over 71 minutes. Don't wait! Pick up on it!

5 out of 5 stars I have never heard a bad Webb Wilder release.......2005-01-08

This CD, being his first release, finds him experimenting a little trying to find his signature sound, which, for a long time Webb fan, is a welcome suprise. The CD is 100% Webb, but there are hints of other things here as well, and there is even a noticable Elvis influence in some places. It is in no way an attempt to copy Elvis, though. It is very subtile. Like they were influenced by the same music growing up. That's what I heard, at least.
This remastered compilation also sounds great. Some of the best sounding recordings I have heard in a long time. The drums are noticably clear and great sounding.
This CD completes my collection. I now own the complete works of Webb Wilder. This CD does not disappoint. It is excellent, and I have never heard a bad Webb Wilder CD. I think that I enjoy it more because it was the last one that I bought, and I can really appreciate the variation on this CD more than if I would have bought it first.
    He is also great live.

5 out of 5 stars World Wide Webb.......2004-07-28

Webb Wilder is one of those artists who ought to be sitting poolside while lesser lights in the music industry serve his drinks. One listen to the tight, addictive rockabilly on this and other Webb CD's will hook you. Webb is very funny - a seriously good film maker and humorist - and writes songs that stick in your brain and have you tapping your toes all day. Wonderful stuff. Webb Wilder now lives on XM Radio (channel 12) where he spins more wonderful music, and tours with his stompin' band. Get this CD - it's rare and valuable and will increase your status among the few full grown men out there. If I remember the name of the tour that supported this album was Economy with Dignity, which tells you a lot about the sense of humor at work here. Plus the music just kicks, plain and simple.

5 out of 5 stars Rollicking good fun!!.......2002-08-23

This is one of the very first cds that I pull out to start the summer off with. "Poolside" is one of my favs,as is,"How Long Can She Last! Webb even pays homage to the late, great Broderick Crawford!! This set is a real party hearty kinda groove. Buy it!!!

    5 out of 5 stars Webb Wilder - A Great Southern Icon.......2000-08-09

This is an outstanding album, well worth your time.. It is cheaper at Yahoo, however.

5 out of 5 stars Webb's first, and still excellent.......1998-09-10

This was Webb's first album (actually, "One Taste of the Bait" appeared earlier on the WRVU compilation album "City Without a Subway") and in some ways it shows: there's less original material and it's less polished. But it still has the performance energy and songwriting chops that make Webb Wilder Nashville's best rock and roller. Check out these lyrics: ("Daddy was a mobile home magnate/Couldn't tell his baby no/Made so much cash from the trailer trash/He felt he had to put on a show" -- from "How long can she last?"). Buy it. You won't be sorry.
