Sum 41's blockbuster debut, All Killer No Filler, lifted riffs from Motley Crue and the Beastie Boys to make a formidably dumb racket, but this follow-up finds the Toronto quartet reining in its spiky-haired insolence. Drawing musical inspiration from toothy metal icons Iron Maiden and Def Leppard, Does This Look Infected? is not only meatier than its predecessor, but songs like "Still Waiting," with its opening refrain of "So am I still waiting, for this world to stop hating," and "Yesterday.com" reveal social consciousness creeping in. The album is not completely deprived of the goofy skate punk that launched the band, but it provides convincing evidence that CNN has taken over from Nickelodeon as Sum 41's preferred tour bus viewing. --Aidin Vaziri

I would give it more stars if I could!.......2007-06-27
If you like punk, then this is the album to buy!.......2007-06-20
While All Killer No Filler was fast paced, this one is sure to get you rocking in a mosh-pit some place.
I'll break down each song for you.
1. The Hell Song
10/10
First song is the charm. This is probably one of their most catchy songs ever. It is also, in my opinion, one of their greatest punk songs.
2. Over My Head (Better Off Dead)
10/10
Great melody to it.
Fun to play as well.
3. My Direction
9/10
Not quite as punky as the other songs, but it is still a nice fast-paced song.
4. Still Waiting
10/10
One of the other greater punk songs created by the Sums. Great riffs as well.
5. A.N.I.C.
8/10
Too fast
Funny lyrics though (which is why this CD is explicit)
6. No Brains
7.5/10
Another short one that can get repetitive.
7. All Messed Up
8/10
Another one that could have made it into A.K.N.F.
It's fast paced and fun, but not as punk-driven.
8. Mr. Amsterdam
8/10
Another song that is a bit repetitive and not one of my more favorite songs.
9. Thanks For Nothing
9/10
Another punk-driven song.
It's pretty good, but heavily vocals-based.
10. Hyper-Insomnia-Para-Condrioid
10/10
Great song.
Great solo action.
11. Billy Spleen
8/10
Not one of the better songs on the album to lead into the last song.
12. Hooch
10/10
Too short
But what's in this song is pure punk and awesome.
I love how the Sum's made the end of this song soft.

peace,,,
I love this album.......2007-02-16

A pretty good cd.......2007-07-05
This cd was their 3rd release and was the start of the bands progression from a garage punk band to a rock band. The music itself has a more experienced feel to it.
This is probably the best overall cd I think they made (through Chuck). Although none of the songs would be in my top 10 for them, it is the only cd that I actually like every song on.
I personally though, can not continue to listen to a band that believes the President should be killed, and vocalizing this, like him or not. Im not a huge Bush fan anymore, but still...its a respect for the position thing. They just took it one step to far.
Guitar riffs and vocals make this band stand out!.......2007-02-10
Very well put together CD........2006-07-23
But what I like most about this CD is the bonus DVD. One of the funniest things I have ever saw!!! But keep out of reach of parents...It's not music videos or anything, It's just the band fooling around and screwing with people.
Very worth buying. 10/10
Sum's Infection.......2006-06-30
Stand out tracks include:
"The Hell Song"
"Over My Head (Better Off Dead)"
"Still Waiting"
"Mr. Amsterdam"
"Thanks For Nothing"
In all my life, I have never experienced such a disastrous album like this!.......2006-06-06
I can't actually call what they do Music, the closest thing I can relate to their sound is "a peacock with a broken neck".

Dave Brownsound is one of the best guitar players in the world! And he is not a retard! Biz is a great singer! He sings better than you ever could even in your wildest dreams! And last but not least NOBODY talks about my boy Cone! He is a good bass player, and he is one of the coolest guys around! And he is not fat! And how do you know what he smells like?! You have never been around him! You are a monkey fart, and a lot of people agree with me!!!!! Viewers buy this CD!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE IT.......2005-03-22
I agree with Mortimer.......2004-09-18
Best Sum 41 album yet, but not incredible music.......2004-08-17
While I'm a fan of thrashy music and all.. Sum 41 keeps trying too hard to be "punk". If you're "punk", you are punk from the moment your band is formed. Not after your third album from a major label. They're just grasping for straws now.
Anyway, this is the first album thats really made me take notice of them. Its a decent album, but the politics of the situation make it seem slightly tarnished.

does this look infected.......2003-12-24
Does this look infected is Sum 41's third CD and it is the most best one they've made yet. This CD is good because it is not about some girl. Also its not sad like the second one. The second one is pop-punk. This CD is actually like real punk. If you liked the first CD you'll like this one.
(more like 4 and 3/4 good.) heavier style, but good........2003-12-09
1-The Hell Song: very good. extremely heavy rhythm on the quarter notes and good guitar hooks. funny video too. 10/10
2-Over My Head: if you ask me it's single material. more good guitar work and a good chorus 9.8/10
3-My Direction: finally, an upbeat song. good verses and for some reason the drums stick in my head FOREVER. 8.7/10
4-A.N.I.C.: previously known as...well, i think we all know what the original title was. more than half this song's vocals are cut out, but it's still good. actually, it sound kinda funny with all those blanks. 8/10
5-Still Waiting: Heavy song, if you ask me. extremely well done, in an angry sense, and you still feel like you have to take them seriously, which is a good thing in this situation. 10/10
6-No Brains: freaking genious. great vocals and a very good 80's metal guitar solo. 10/10
7-All Messed Up: pretty good. it's the other upbeat song. pretty good vocal stuff, though not especially good with the instrumental stuff. cool bridge. 8/10
8-Mr. Amsterdam: can you say Metallica? how about Master of Puppets?? EXTREMELY influenced by The Master of Puppets album. very good song, even though it's a little monotonous. a good angry song (it has screaming in it) to headbang to...just don't pull a muscle in your neck (it happened to my step cousin when he was trying to head bang to System of a Down's "Prison Song"). it's fast as heck. 9.9/10
9-Thanks For Nothing: Stevo32 finally does his rapping thingy. it's really a very good song even though it's so freaking simple. powerful chorus. it changes BPM a few times so the chorus and intro a slow, but most of the rest of the song it fast. 9/10
10-Hyper-Insomnia-Para-Condriod: not as good as the rest of the album. pretty much a filler of metallica-ish punk stuff. 6/10
11- Billy Spleen: POWERFUL AS CRAP. great everything here. another Master of Puppets kind of song. cool double bass stuff in the intro. furious is the best way to describe it. it doesn't let up. 9.99/10
12-Hooch: unusual setup and stuff. BUT FREAKING GREAT. it starts out fast and punk like your listening to a Millencollin song, then for the chorus it's more like "No Brains". then it has a heavy screaming bridge, a searing guitar solo (one F$%^ING GOOD guitar solo), it slows down a gets quiet into a more emotional 6/8 time ending that makes you think: "that was one powerful-energy packed album...and now everything's all......" and it ends. the world seems to sloooow down and you once again think "quiet. so very quiet". so just because of that wicked ender, it's in your cd player for the next year. Best on the cd 30/10
