Backstreet's Back ALRIGHT!.......2005-12-12

Well I'm one of the lucky ones who could just go to the cd shop and get this album the easy way (although I also bought the US debut album that was released on the same day as an IMPORT album). This cd is still one of my favorite Backstreet albums. It has a great mixture of uptempo songs and balads on it, and even after all this time (it was released 8 years ago in august 1997) it still is a great album.

A quick guide through the songs:
"Backstreet's Back" is an uptempo song that is very dancable and catchy. Great song. This isn't the extended version that's on the US debut album, but the radio edit with Nick's vocals still intact (So everybody, everywhere/don't be afraid don't have no fear/gonna tell the world, make them understand/as long as there'll be music we'll be coming back again).

"As Long As You Love Me" is agreat midtempo lovesong, very catchy. This mix is better than the US mix I think. Still my favorite BSB song.

"All I Have To Give" is the same as the US version, ballad.

"That's The Way I Like It" isn't a cover of KC and the sunshine band, but a better uptempo song with the same title. It's catchy, dancable and it has great vocals on it with a good beat, what more could you ask for?

"10,000 Promises" is a loveballad and it isn't a happy one. Perfect song if you have a broken haert, helps you to vent every frustration...

"Like A Child" is another sad love song. This ballad is very touching. And the vocals are just so beautiful!

"Hey, Mr DJ (Keep Playin' This Song)" is also on the US debut album. Catchy dancable song, easy to sing along to.

"Set Adrift On Memory Bliss" is a cover I belief, but I'm not sure. Good song, ballad, strong vocals, same as the US version.

"That's What She Said" was written by Brian and it's just the sweetest song on the album. Great song for anyone who likes to hear Mr Littrell sing, for he takes on all the solo parts. It's a ballad about a broken relationship, again a very good song if you have a broken heart. I remenber the live version of this song (at a concert in 1998) as one of the most magical moments.

"If You Want It To Be Good Girl (Get Yourself A Bad Boy)" is also on the US debut album, and I think it's just a great song.
Catchy, dancable and just so fun to listen to... inspired loads of signs back on the 1998 tour...

"If I Don't Have You" is a loveballad with great ballad. Slowely prepars you for the end of this album.

If you think the 46 minutes and 11 seconds are a bit short, you're wrong. This is an enhanced cd, so if you pop it into the computer, you get loads of extra stuff, like videoclips (so cute), background story and a quiz...
I highly recomend this album, especially in combination with the European "Backstreet's Back" (make sure you get the one with 16 tracks on it!)!!!

Best Music - It rules All!.......2005-07-21

This cd is so great. The backstreet boys are very talented unlike sleezy singers like 50 Cent and Dr. Dre. The backstreet boys can sing so well. When I'm not very happy or in a good mood, I listen to this cd and it just makes me smile.This cd is very special, with such a wonderful song like "that's what she said", which by the way wonderful brian wrote and a very cool song "thats's the way i like it".Those are my 2 favorite songs of this album, but not one of these songs has a bad side to it. I think everyone out there should buy this cd because you'll end up falling inlove with it. I luv the backstreet boys, they are obviously my fave.Buy the cd cause it beats all the others.

Um dos melhores álbuns dos BSB. Estão presentes aqui 4 ótimas baladas (faixas 5, 6, 9 e 11), três músicas que os tornaram conhecidos para muitos no Brasil (faixas 1, 2 e 3) e outras que completam o CD sem deixar nada a desejar (faixas 4, 7, 8 e 10).

A typical Boygroup-album. Songs about broken hearts and missing somebody and Bubblegum-Pop. But there are at least a few songs that are not that bad ("Everybody", "Like a child", "If I don't have you" and "As long as you love me"). I mean that melody is not that bad so that the songs aren't boring but the lyrics are just stupid.
So if you like the five cuuute guys you'll love this album. If not: Stay away and don't touch it. This is just kitschy.

Pop Sinsation.......2002-07-30

If you are a pop fan, then this is the CD for you! Not only does it have that pop-sound to it, but it has the advantage of R&B and different genres of music mixed into it as well. Also, this is the Backstreet fan's dream CD! Actually, all Backstreet CDs are a fans dream. This CD includes an original song, that is most possibly my favorite on the album, called 'That's What She Said'! It is not only sung by the Backstreet Boys, but was also written by one of the members, Brian Littrell! This CD not only helps to prove that real talent does exist, it shows you that the real talent has a name, and that name is Backstreet!! KTBSPA!

I Loved This!.......2006-11-26

This is a pretty Good CD by the Backstreet Boys. I actually happen to like this one a lot. Songs I liked are Everybody Backstreet's Back as well as others. I ended up finding this CD at Pamida here in Grafton for some odd reason or other (unless it got mixed up with another order of Backstreet Boys CDs or something). When I first got this one, I know my mom was uncertain about letting me get this album, because it looked too much like their US debut (the cover shots are very similar, and the CD's almost look exactly the same, except one's a little darker in color). we realized that the songs were different so I got it.

BSB AT THEIR BEST.......2006-08-03

I love this cd 10,000 promises and Like a Child are my favorites on this cd. Kevin use to sing 10,000 promises solo in concert so I was disappointed that he didn't sing it on the cd but the song is so beautiful that I still love it. Great cd for BSB fans who aren't afraid to be BSB fans.

Backstreet's Back-Excellent!.......2004-10-29

The Backstreet Boys' sophomore european effort is excellent! Not only does it include the fun pop tunes: "Everybody" and "As Long As You Love Me", but also the beautifully harmonized (and import-only): "If I Don't Have You" and the ballad "10,000 Promises." I great album by an amazingly talented vocal group! Five stars!

Backstreet's Back.......2004-03-28

BSB's sophmore album brings the boys more influence on their music. Brian actually wrote "That's What She Said" and played guitar on it. This was definetly a growth period for the group. Listening to it in again after a while you start to appreciate the songs more. They really do take some time to grow on you but their worth it...especially after 'Black and Blue'.
Some songs to pay close attention to: Like A Child, That's What She Said, and All I Have To Give.

Cool Music, Bores On.............1998-06-20

OK, This CD is pretty good, especially if u love the song, Backstreet's back, alright! But, after listening to a few tracks, it starts to get really boring..... So, if u are NOT a backstreet boyz flip-over-fan, I suggest u do not bother buying this CD. But if u are, well then, pull out your wallet and type in your credit card details.......

I love this album. It's sooo good and it's hard NOT to listen to it everyday. I'm gonna rate each song:

1. Everybody (Backstreet's Back) - 10/10. Okay, this version is a lot different than the US version. It's a minute shorter than the US version and NICK GETS A SOLO ON THIS ONE!!!! A great listen.

2. As Long As You Love Me - 100/10! This is a little different than the US version: the begging sounds different. If you don't believe me, listen to the intro for both. But different doesn't mean bad! It's still an awesome song and my favorite BSB song EVER.

3. All I Have To Give - 100/10! Same as the US version. It's definitely one of my favorite songs. Nice rhythm and GREAT harmony! I love every verse Nick sings!

4. Missing You - 1000/10! GREAT song. And the thing about this is, that this song is ONLY released on THIS version of Backstreet's Back (and they released about 5 different versions of it). The boys sound great (especially Nick!) and the rhythm is great. This song is WORTH repeating.

5. That's The Way I Like It - 100/10! Catchy rhythm. AJ and Brian sound great.

6. 10,000 Promises - 8/10. Good the first listen, but after a while, it gets tiring.

7. Like A Child - 8/10. Same as above.

8. Hey, Mr. DJ (Keep Playin' This Song) - 10/10. Great song. AJ sounds GREAT!

9. Set Adrift On Memory Bliss - 10/10. BEAUTIFUL. Enough said.

10. That's What She Said - ONE MILLION/10! Brian wrote this himself. And it's BEAUTIFUL. He sounds GREAT singing this song and it's worth repeating it over and over again.

11. If You Want To Be Good Girl, (Get Yourself A Bad Boy) - ONE MILLION/10! This is my favorite song on the CD. The beat is unique and great to dance to (trust me on this one . . . lol). Nick sounds soooo cute singing this: my favorite part is when he sings:

12. All I Have to Give Part II: The Conversation Mix - ONE MILLION/10! What can I say about this except for "lol". This is the funniest song in the world! The boys are talking about the kind of girl they like, and Kevin is trying so hard to sound sexy. My favorite part is . . . you guessed it: Nick's part (go figure).

13. If I Don't Have You - 100/10! Great ballad. Very emotional. Great vocals by the boys.

DISC 2!!!!!!

1. Christmas Time - 9/10. Great song, but it gets boring after a while. OUTSTANDING vocals by Brian though.

2. As Long As You Love Me (Unplugged) - 100/10! Great! Enough said.

3. Quit Playing Games(With My Heart) E-Smoove Vocal Mix - 100/10! I love this remix soooooo much! The music is cool and it's fun to dance to. Great job guys!


In conclusion, this CD is a HIT! Buy it and you won't regret a SECOND of it!

Backstreet's Back-A Must-Have for Any BSB FANatic.......2001-07-28

I would definately recommend the Backstreet's Back Christmas Edition to any Backstreet Boys fan. This limited edition CD includes several great songs not found on any other BSB CDs. It contains many songs not on the US edition of Backstreet Boys, such as Like a Child and 10,000 Promises, in addition to several songs not found on the initial release of Backstreet's Back Canadian and European editions, such as Missing You and Christmas Time. If you like BSBs music, you will probably like this CD as well, because the style of music is very similar to BSBs other CDs. While the Backstreet Boys are definately one of the biggest groups out there, I would not recommend this group to people who do not like boy-pop, because that is what this album is. This CD is definately a must-have for every BSB fan, while most other people probably would not like this CD.
