Marianne Faithfull had been effectively written off as a one-hit wonder when she reappeared in 1979 to shock everyone with this dark masterpiece. Gone was the bland choirgirl voice of "As Tears Go By," replaced by an instrument that, although ravaged by drink, drugs, and hard living, had gained in expressiveness. The music, which sounded like a synthesizer phalanx hijacked by depressed punks, was perfectly suited to these songs of disillusionment ("Ballad of Lucy Jordan") and loss (the title track). Most powerful was a "Working Class Hero" that matched John Lennon's original sneer for sneer, and an X-rated response to infidelity ("Why D'Ya Do It") that could've been torn from Bill Clinton-inspired headlines. --Ben Edmonds

4 out of 5 stars A jarring comeback..........2007-06-22

Marianne emerged in the mid-60's as a nervous soft voiced songstress with folk inclinations, which separated her from the more pop oriented female artists of the day (Petula Clark, Cilla Black, etc.). Her couple of albums were largely folk song covers with sparse instrumentation (comparable to Pentangle a few years later). The endearing image was her singing perched on a stool on the show Shindig! with John Mark (later of Mark-Almond) at her feet plucking his acoustic guitar.
Then came the ravages of her battle with the dark side. When seemingly she had disappeared entirely, she emerged with this dark but definitely musically modern work. And her voice! A contemporary rock writer compared it to Tallulah Bankhead in the middle of, well, a bad day. Rasp personified. "Why'd Ya Do It" was the mysterious album track that got all the attention, she appeared on Saturday Night Live with a shirt showing the song title, but did not perform it for obvious reasons. People had to listen for, I guess, the same reason they listened intently to "Louie Louie" but in this case the vulgarity in the message was pretty plain. All this aside, there was much here to simply enjoy, such as the magnificent "Ballad of Lucy Jordan." Marianne parlayed this LP into a much longer career than she originally seemed destined to achieve, as quite a few albums followed. Her involvement with Kurt Weill works is probably the closest match of her talents to material.

3 out of 5 stars ballad of lucy jordan, great song.......2007-02-03

The only good song on this CD is the Ballad of Lucy Jordan, but it is a GREAT song!

5 out of 5 stars A great synthesis of late 70's rock .......2006-11-17

Marianne Faithful made her real stamp on the music world with this album 25 years ago.
with her characteristic raspy voice and angry and cynical lyrics she brought out such rock hits as the famous country-style Ballad of Lucy Jordan , the introspective Guilt , the protest song Broken English , the eerie Witches Song , the fast-paced rocker Brain Drain, her version of the John Lennon hit Working Class Hero and the expletive-filled song of fury at infidelity , Why D'ya Do It?.
A great synthesis of late 70's rock . If you love good rock with a sharp edge , you have to have this.

5 out of 5 stars Still loving it, after all these years.......2006-01-14

When I first bought this recording, in 79 or 80, it was seldom off my turntable, and lived in my car's tape deck on a continent-wide drive. Then I got it on CD, in the now-impossible-to-get combo with Strange Weather, which cracked one day. Now I have it again. And it's still one of the best recordings (of thousands) that I've ever listened to.

There are many highlights here, and I won't pick favorites, but am particularly amused by her cover of Shel Silverstein's (yes, the kids book author and Playboy cartoonist) Ballad of Lucy Jordan, as dark a reading of a really dark set of lyrics as you will ever find. I love the music (synthesizers and guitars and driving rhythm) and I love the arrangements.

Some years after Broken English I saw Marianne perform live at a club in Toronto. She came on stage in a twinset and a cultured English accent, the living personification of her first "beautiful songbird" incarnation (circa As Tears Go By), plus 20 years or so. Then she sang and it was back to the dark side of the world.

4 out of 5 stars cool classic.......2005-10-09

what a great album. the music sounds like Blondie or The Police on downers and the intensity and unrest erupts to a boiling point on the furious album closer "Why D'ya Do It?" the touching "Ballad Of Lucy Jordan" is a fine a fine showcase for Faithfull's whiskey ravaged voice; giving the proceedings a kind of Billie Holiday-esque charm. a respectable contribution to the world of rock and still influential to many bands almost 25 years later!

Everything about Bryn Terfel is over-life-size: his physique, his personality, his breath-control, and of course his extraordinarily beautiful voice. This recording displays his stunning vocalism and versatility to full advantage, but its title belies its content. Alhough it does include some simple pieces, the execution is fussy, overdone, and calculated for maximum external effect. The program ranges from Mozart, Pergolesi and pseudo-Bach to Sondheim in arrangements that are pure Hollywood, complete with throbbing strings and rolling drums, often destroying the spirit as well as the letter of the original compositions. It begins with Mozart's heavenly "Ave verum" arranged for baritone solo and chorus, frustratingly cut off after a few phrases (another setting of the same text by Karl Jenkins, written for Terfel, is more satisfying, being complete and original). The splendid baritone Simon Keenlyside joins him here as well as in the opening number of Pergolesi's "Stabat Mater;" originally for soprano and alto, this must be the baritones' revenge on female singers who usurp songs written for men, like Schubert's and Schumann's cycles. Franck's "Panis angelicus" also inexplicably becomes a duet; unfortunately, Terfel's and tenor Aled Jones' voices do not match. Bach-Gounod's popular "Ave Maria" is all swells and exaggerations. The rest of the program consists of folksongs, hymns, show and film tunes, inflated to operatic proportions and generally ending in a fade-out or a flourish. Even the title song is anything but simple. This record is not for purists who like their music performed the way the composer wrote it, but aficionados of great singing will love it. --Edith Eisler

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Bryn Terfel's beautiful voice........2007-05-13

Bryn Terfel has a beautiful voice. Listening to him is very pleasant and definitely something to look forward to. I read a review saying he would replace tenor Pavroti. However, I believe that Mr. Terfel is a Baritone and not a Tenor. That does not detract from the fact that he should be considered one of the world's top male singers. His voice is truly impressive. This CD by Bryn Terfel is one from our collection that is outstanding and a favorite.

1 out of 5 stars Why do people think this guy can sing??.......2007-04-27

Sorry, I think this guy is one of the most overrated singers out there today. He always sounds like he is singing holding his nose shut. VERY nasal sounding.

If you want to listen to an incredibly beautiful voice, buy one of Josh Groban's CD's--you won't regret it! He has the voice of the century!

5 out of 5 stars Relaxing.......2007-02-03

Excellent selection of music. It covers many different types. My wife likes being able to hear the words with out instruments drowning out the vocals. I find it relaxing and many of the songs are familiar and very well done.

5 out of 5 stars Bryn Terfel's Simple Gifts.......2006-02-25

Simply superb. I don't know what our local (Wash DC) paper was talking about when they said Deep River was the weakest link. I was enthralled from beginning to end. I have had the pleasure of hearing Bryn Terfel live in recital at the Kennedy Center. I can assure you that his voice has only improved with age. He was wonderful then and is spectacular now!

5 out of 5 stars A Heartfelt Offering Reminiscent of An Earlier Era.......2006-02-15

Bryn Terfel harkens back to earlier American operatic stars such as Richard Tucker and Robert Merrill who crossed grenres to satisfy their unquenchable need to sing any and all songs that moved them to an appreciative public. These great singers all had their origins singing sacred music from their respective religions and learned to lay their considerable talents before the altar of the simple inspirational song.

This recording is wonderful on many levels. The selections are an unusual mixture of classical sacred music, spirituals, hymns, Lieder, Austrian Christmas and Gaelic songs, musical numbers and movie theme songs harmoniously combined to touch the soul of the listener in a gentle ebb and flow of devotion, intensity and tenderness. All of these songs are beautiful in and of themselves and in his hands, we experience them anew.

Bryn Terfel sings with the commitment necessary to make the awesome challenge of simplicity look easy. To my way of thinking, he is the most communicative and articulate singer today, bar none. He is a poet who savors the sound, feeling and meaning of each and every word and marries it uniquely and faithfully to the music. He transports the listener into the life of a song and transfixes us each and every moment. His enormous talent is not overwhelming or distractive and is inextricably and wholly intertwined with the music. This is greatness and it is very, very rare today.

I like the inclusion of the choir in several of the numbers as it reflects on the nature and context of the songs. I am less fond of the selections with the guest soloists as I feel they do not match his ability to "get inside" a song. The orchestra and orchestations are sensitive and enhancing.

This recording is simply wonderful and should have a broad appeal. It will move and inspire the believer, satisfy and fulfill the otherwise spiritual, calm the troubled and renew a flagging soul.

Born in London, raised in New York City, and of Indian descent, Karsh Kale's life has always been a mix of cultures, so it should come as no surprise that his music reflects that. His debut, Realize, quickly proved that he could mix it up gracefully and organically with the best of them. Here, on his third proper studio album (there've also been countless remixes, collections and collective projects), Kale's self-proclaimed brand of "rocktronic-organica" brings together such guests as Ekova's Dierdre, Midival Punditz, Crystal Method, and rapper MC Napolean. Whereas electronica and hip-hop are commonly integrated into Indian music (or vice versa), Kale also offers up intriguing touches of indie rock on "Dancing At Sunset" and the ballad "City Lights"--the latter isn't as compelling as the former, but Kale still gets points for originality. Other highlights include the dreamy "Drive" and the hard-driving electronica of "Hole In The Sky." Truly music with a modern multi-culti reach, nothing on Broken English is lost in translation. --Tad Hendrickson

Album Description

On Broken English, Karsh balances his Indian heritage with rock and roll, hip-hop and atmospheric pop for this most diverse release to date. Kale works with a talented cast of collaborators including MC Napolean Solo, vocalists Trixie Reiss (the Crystal Method), Sophie Michalitsianos (Sparklehorse), Diedre (Ekova), Vishal Vaid and award winning Bollywood film composer Salim Merchant

5 out of 5 stars Cornucopia of sounds!.......2007-02-09

This album is great!!! It is definitely different than his previous albums so if you are looking for the same style of KK's music, you are not going to get it. KK is entering new bounds with his unique styles here and makes this album is a musical journey.

1 out of 5 stars missed the boat.......2007-01-05

i sort of liked his other cd's, but this one is just a big mess. with no real direction or theme, most of this sounds like an attempt at (bad) pop music with some exotic sitars and table drums thrown on top. not to mention the onslaught of annoying vocal gymnastics throughout. none of the music here is engaging in the least (which is why there are so many cheap used copies available here). very disappointing

5 out of 5 stars Incredible.......2006-12-21

This is one of my favorite albums of 2006. I don't know why people are complaining about the guest artists. They add flair to the album. Karsh Kale is great as an instrumental artist, but let's be honest, many of the best tracks feature vocalists.

The first track is rap and is the only track I skip (unless I'm in the mood for rap), but to me the rest of the CD incredible. Especially tracks 2, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 10. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that the primary single in India was track 3 "Beautiful."

3 out of 5 stars I'm with the "warning" group..........2006-11-10

I have the first 2 K.K. cd's (I hate remix cd's) and this one is different. It's fine but it has the whole guest artist thing I find tiring. Everyone has to do a guest artist cd and a Christmas cd eventually it seems. The first 2 cd's are more instrumentally his style and this cd is a mainstream pop cd with guest artists that has his style added. You get different singers on different songs. You'll like it if that's your thing but I prefer the instrumental thing more. Just my 2 cents. Can't wait for his Xmas cd!

3 out of 5 stars It depends on what you seek............2006-08-07

I own all three of KK's solo CDs, and i recommend his work and ideas highly. If you are new to KK's work, i recommend him greatly as an artist. Whether or not you will like this CD depends on what you are looking for in a disc.

This CD veers heavily both in terms of production and in style towards being "club-heavy". If you like music to blast to 10 in your car or are trying to pump up a party, i think you'll largely enjoy this disc.

However, if you like the earlier discs because of their ability to cross genres and create/fuse ideas that meld and create exotic soundscapes and create transcendent music, i think that if you are new to KK's work, i'd recommend Liberation first and Realize second, before i'd recommend this.

For me, many of the songs on this disc lack the subtlety and nuance that you'll find particularly present on Liberation. There's not alot of depth to the vocal ideas here compared to the other discs. Liberation is very "lush" and it grew alot on me over time. Realize does a great job of straddling the line between more "pop" sounds and some great classical Indian influences and has some truly brilliant moments on it. I don't sense many truly memorable moments on this disc, it doesn't "grab me" like his earlier work has. That MAY be because the music is more oriented towards the club-goer and i am more likely to put on a KK disc while having a glass of wine with friends.

I take away one star because i find the production on this CD renders the music a bit flat. I take away a second star, because KK is an amazing talent, a talent worthy of more lofty goals (imho) than getting club-goers out there onto the dance floor. KK has the ability to get lots of amazing musicians to work together, and i was simply hoping for more experimentation than you'll find on this disc. Your mileage may vary...

This CD will remain in my collection, but its likely that if i'm going to put one of his discs on, it'll most likely be Liberation or Realize.

cheers!

When the tracks from their 4-song EP were posted online, the band quickly became one of the most popular artists on the music site purevolume.com, and over 400,000 people were listening to them in a matter of months. They've since toured with Bayside, My American Heart, The Start, and Cartel, as well as played shows with Hawthorne Heights, Matchbook Romance, The Early November, and Armor For Sleep. This is their debut full-length and will hopefully make the cynics believe that young bands have something to say.

1 out of 5 stars Taking Back Sunday, only worse.......2006-07-18

First off, MTV owes me my 10 bucks back for even implying that Just Surrender sound the least bit like the wonderful and talented Fall Out Boy. They don't. When I first heard ITSCT, I thought I was listening to Taking Back Sunday B-sides post-tell all your friends, and I don't even like TBS. Raspy, crude vocals and generic breakdowns are garbage, yet everyone trys to do em' anyway. I took this suckfest of a cd and threw it from my car after just three songs, so unless you like bad imitations of TBS and MCR, stay clear of JS. It's no wonder these guys never took off.

5 out of 5 stars Marvellously done.......2006-07-13

Let me tell you guys right now that Just Surrender is good listening. I first heard them on idobi radio on itunes. Forgotten not Forgiven is such an excellent song, and there is no band that has ever put otu a similar song. Nowadays slit your wrist self infliction depressed songs are the thing. Theres none of that in Just Surrender. Alot of sad and romantic songs but it's all good in their own distinct way. Plus the lead singers voice sounds great like Rookie of the Year and we also have good guitar to back it up.

Amazon.com essential recording

This is a terrific performance of Messiah. Not only are the soloists all superb, but Trevor Pinnock completely contradicts the image of many period instrument performances as small-scale, scrappy affairs. Indeed, he invests the choruses with as much genuine Handelian pomp as Beecham at his most extravagant. The trumpets really blaze, and the timpani thunder, and everyone simply has a great time. A joyous performance, just right for the holiday season. --David Hurwitz

Trevor Pinnock meets with mixed success in this account of the Messiah with the English Concert & Choir and soloists Arleen Auger, Anne Sofie von Otter, Michael Chance, Howard Crook, and John Tomlinson, recorded and released in 1988. Its strengths are the strengths of the early-music movement in general. The size and distribution of the instrumental and vocal forces are optimal, which means that textures are clear and balances apt. Rhythms are nicely pointed, though often, in Pinnock's case, not quite well enough sprung. Tempos are well chosen; for example, "All we like sheep"--which turns out to be one of the set's best numbers--is a real bourré, and Pinnock animates it in just the right way. But the performance often seems workmanlike and unemotional, weighed down in too many instances by the humdrum work of the chorus. The alto section in particular, which is half male and half female, sings timidly and is constantly swallowing its entrances. Bass soloist John Tomlinson is a further drag on the effort. He has the right idea--that there's an Italian opera hiding behind all this biblical imagery--but his cottony sound is out of place, a misguided attempt to mimic Nicolai Ghiaurov. His usable range is less than a tenth (he croaks the low G's and F-sharps), and his diction is horrible. "Thus spake the Lord" is strangled, and when, in "The trumpet shall sound" Tomlinson gets to the words "we shall be changed," one can't help wishing that he had been changed too, right before the sessions started. --Ted Libbey

5 out of 5 stars Ladies & gentleman: The Lord'n Savior, God Almighty.......2007-06-13

Handel's Messiah is my favorite piece of classical music. Of the two versions that I had I only have left this one, and it is not the best (the other had been a cheap recording whose author's name I forgot too). This version seems to lack a little enthusiasm from the voices; too melancholic. Anyway, this is the first review of any music that I write, and probably will be the last too, so I just want to leave my impression of how I feel when I hear these solemn and heavenly sounds. One feels so raised to the heavenlies... I can almost sense the presence of the Lord Almighty up yonder among the clouds, and me being carried in solemnity to meet Him. Far away are the buzzing sounds of earthly chores. The air is fresh and clean as we are raised above the valleys, and we come to meet God's elected amid the singing, stronger and stronger. Jubilant, bathed in the glorious rays of the Savior's Light, we come together and sing: Glory to God, glory to God, praise and glory for He is coming...

2 out of 5 stars So Fashionable, and So Disappointing.......2007-02-01

This would be a great 21st Century Reader's Digest version of Messiah, if such a thing existed any more. Handel did as much as he could, but really, the performers still have to do something besides posture, which, by the way, seems to me to characterize many performances these days. Fashionable, but musically deficient.

Specifically: John Tomlinson sings like he thinks he IS God, instead of singing about Him. Heavy, cumbersome, and overblown. May I add boorish?

Arleen Auger has a very sweet voice. And??

Despite the program notes insisting that certain segments of this Messiah are given to "the contralto", Anne Sofie von Otter is NOT a contralto. Not even close.

The male alto can barely sustain a legato line - why he insists upon throwing in those complicated, badly-performed embellishments I can't figure. Well, I can, but I'd really rather not say.

Wake up, choristers!! It's 'For Unto Us A Child Is Born," not "Oy, I have to go to the grocery store today."

Boy do I regret having spent almost $40 on this one. Thank goodness I have the Colin Davis to console me.

4 out of 5 stars A nice combination of period nad tradiitonal.......2006-12-17

This 1988 recording sits between the euqally English, euqally period-ifnluenced Hogwood and Garidner. Of the three, Hogwood sounds more 'authentic' because it uses boys in the chorus and singers schooled period practice. By comparison, Pinnock's soprano, Arleen Auger, and mozeeo, Von Otter, are essentially modern singers--gorgeous ones, of course, Gardiner is far more anemic in his conducting and uses a scrwny-sounding orchestra, so if that's more authentic, so be it. Of the three, Pinnock gives us more traditional music values in his emotional expression and instrumental timbres.

The competiiton is mushc stiffer now than in 1988, but Pinnock's reading has survived the test of time. He is not a genuinely inspired conductor--sadly, Messiah has become a cottage industry that excludes most big-name talents--but neither are Gardiner and Hogwood. (For sheer musicality, I tend to put my money on Andrew Parrott, Robert King, Marc Minkowski, Niklaus Harnoncourt, and Rene Jacobs.) But he's certainly good eough. The reason I haven't given five stars is that the male soloists aren't first-rate, and in particular the Wotan voice of John Tomlinson sounds cavernous in the bass arias. Add to that Pinnock's tendency toward tepidness, and what you end up with is a very good but not great performance.

5 out of 5 stars Wait! Before you buy..........2006-05-28

... This Messiah has recently been re-released at a much cheaper price. Go back and look for the DG "The Originals" release, which is being sold new for under $12.

5 out of 5 stars La mas bella y fidedigna interpretacion que se pueda obtener.......2004-12-29

4 out of 5 stars A very nice album for SCAdian ears.......2007-04-25

This is a fun album. it's festive, playful, and a real joy to listen to. There is something for everyone in this album--including and especially SCAdians. In fact there's probably at least one piece on this album that every SCAdian dancer, musician, and/or bard will recognize. There's courtly songs, love songs, and get out of your chair dances, even formal pieces you associate with concert halls.

Whether you play in the SCA or just love great historical music, this is one of the better albums I've ever bought--on amazon or anywhere else!

1 out of 5 stars Recording is defective.......2007-04-06

The first one I got had a lot of popping and crackling, and some digital defects that cause the CD player to skip. I liked the music so I bought another copy and it was the same. Both wound up in the trash. Don't waste your money on this disk.

2 out of 5 stars adequate performances but totally inadequate information.......2005-04-27

It is perhaps unfair to judge the performances on this recording (presumably made in the late 1950s/early 60s? - we are not given a date) by modern standards of early music performance. Yes, there are moments when the experimental nature of the approach is all too apparent, both in terms of the [im]plausibility of the interpretations and in the [at times] excruciating intonation (a particularly pertinent example is the shawm playing in track 10). But what is in fact by far the most deplorable feature of this recording is the utter sparsity of information provided - about the performers, the instruments, the composers, the repertoire, etc. Worse still, what little that is provided is often hopelessly inaccurate: sometimes in the form of blatant spelling errors (eg the Coventry Carol becomes here 'Lully Lullary', etc), at other times factual blunders (the medieval 'Estampie' in track 10 is in fact a 16th cent [ie Renaissance] tourdion, 'Quand je bois du vin clairet', whilst John Dowland's 'Frogg Galliard', c.1597, is here given an anonymous attribution...etc, etc, etc).

In short, for those not acquainted with pre-Baroque music, this is NOT a good place to start!!! Seasoned Early Music connoisseurs, on the other hand, may find a perverse pleasure in some atrocious moments, or perhaps take interest in its value as an example of historically informed performance style in the pioneering years - but you have been warned!!

For those interested, here are some alternative recommendations if you are new to this music: firstly, 2 wide-ranging compilations by 2 well-known ensembles -

1. Sinners and Saints - The New London Consort/Philip Pickett (Decca 48559)
2. Portrait ('Moyen Age et Renaissance') - Hesperion XX/Jordi Savall (Auvidis Fontalis 'Portrait' ES9904), or either of the 2 new compilations by Savall and his ensemble(s) on Alia Vox ('Harmonie Universelle', AV9810; 'Harmonie Universelle II', AV9839).

and a compilation (mostly of early music) featuring a number of different groups -

'Pastime with Good Company' (Alpha, A901) [includes groups like L'Arpegiatta, Le Poeme Harmonique, Diabolus in Musica...]

3 out of 5 stars A nice overview of very early music.......2003-12-02

This was one of the first recordings of early music I ever bought. It's a broad survey of styles and periods, from the 12th to 17th centuries. I've become a more sohisticated listener since then, but I still get this one out fairly regularly. The recording is apparently old and the digital remastering was not done extraordinarily well, but those who are more interested in music than in audio equipment should be able to listen through the occasional (minor) vinyl surface noise. My major complaint (why I gave it 3 stars instead of 4) is the lack of documentation--there is no information about the musicians, and many of the composers are uncredited (some because they actually are anonymous, but sometimes out of apparent laziness). Still, at this price it's a bargain.

5 out of 5 stars Don't Be Affraid.......2003-11-19

This cd is worth picking up. Yes the first couple of tracks have pops and crackles in it. And yes it sounds as if the music was transfered directly from a vinyl source. But the performances and selections on this cd are fabulous. And you get use to the flaws in the recordings. Which I find minor.

This cd was actually the first Medieval and Renaissance album I ever bought. I bought it randomly in 1992 to try and introduce myself to these two era's of Classical music. And it was PERFECT. I have been a loyal fan of Medieval & Renaissance music ever since. I currently own 25 to 30 cd's covering these era now. And this album is still one of my favorites......

I haven't purchased the CD but the picture of the inside of a church on the cover is not of a British church, like one would assume since it says its a recording of British choirs. This picture is of Notre Dame Basilica in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Just thought i'd let you know. I'll be honest; I'm one to judge things by it's cover and if the company took such care to choose a 'British' church for their British choir CD, I'm willing to bet the music is equally well selected... I'm being sarcastic. But I gave the product 5 stars because I didn't want to hurt its ratings just because i'm cynical. But check out the church if you're ever in Montreal, it's truly beautiful... here I'm not being sarcastic.

This CD is great. Asteria isn't quite popular yet but they are on their way there. I recommend this CD if you enjoy acoustic/indie music!

      Peace

5 out of 5 stars Great upcoming new band.......2007-04-02

Love Asteria not only a great band/great new sound, great looking too!!! Can't ask for anything better than that! The only problem with this order was that 3 out of the 5 cases I received had broken cases. The CD themselves were fine.

5 out of 5 stars If you like to Have fun then buy this.......2007-03-25

Don't buy this Album if you are boring, because boring people will hate this album because it will make you want bounce off every wall in your room. This album is just plain fun, makes you want to DANCE! DANCE! DANCE! And we all know the boys and the girls go DANCING. Buy this album you will not regret it. Something for everyone except boring people.

      2 out of 5 stars You've heard it before............2007-03-10

I'll make this quick....Asteria's "Slip into Something More Comfortable" is a nice effort by these NW Indiana guys but the problem is, its nothing that hasnt been done to death a million times already and alot better I may add. If your looking for something thats gonna be groundbreaking, move on.

Considering the average age in this band, the musicianship isnt bad. They do however show their age with the easy-cheez filled lyrics. As bad as that description is, the lyrics are worse.

Like I've said, their young kids so things could change but as of right now, I advise you to save your money and look in something else.
