WOW!! THESE DESTROYERS CAN ROCK HARD.......2007-06-22

I certainly found this CD great as these Destroyers are a great blues rock band and my favorite blues rock band along with ZZ Top, Bad Company and a few others. My personal favorites would be Move It On Over, Bad to the Bone, One Bourbon One Scotch One Beer, and I Drink Alone. For great blues rock fans, I would really recomend this CD.

Rockabilly All The Way - George Thorogood Style!.......2007-04-05

George Thorogood is one of my favorite all time rockers. The reason why is he was able to combine rock with a little bit of country. In essence: ROCKABILLY! I was raised in the South, but did not especially like a lot of country music. This CD has just the right amount of both Rock and Country music all in one great collection. I would not call it a greatest hits album, but most of George Thorogood's songs are on it. This is a must for your CD collection!

This is a great CD with some all-time classic Thorogood, slide guitar masterpieces. Such as "One Bourbon Once Scotch, One Beer", "Move It On Over:, Who Do You Love", "Bad To The Bone", and perhaps the most intelligent, "tongue in cheek" "drinking" rock song ever, "I Drink Alone"! And other songs. Why then would you ask, would Shaq "The King Of The World Blues Reviewer", give it 4 stars instead of 5? Because out of 16 songs about 4 of them are not all-time greats, so that is 25% of the songs, don't rate a 5 star grade. Hence, 4 star, still really good, and you should buy it.

Why the QUICK FADE on 'Give A Little Bit More' ??.......2007-03-17

First off, I was very surprised to find a collection with the 3 singles from the 1980 album I'M NO HERO. To my knowledge, this is a first! It was great to find a CD with his biggest U.S hits all on one disc. I'll have to give the first 16 or 17 tracks a listen, as they are older than I am.

The sound quality is quite good on this disc. However, the track 'A Little In Love' sounds like it's a slightly different mix than I remember and 'Give A Little Bit More' ends quite abruptly with a FAST 3-4 second fadeout -- at least 10 seconds early. WHY? Did anyone listen to this before production started?

It's too bad the out-of-print, U.S. release Cliff Richard Collection from the mid 70's through the early 80's wasn't more complete. Maybe that's why it is no longer made. I know the EMI-America label (non existant since around 1987) had some bizzare licensing issues with other artists on that label in the past.

If you're looking for his U.S. hits (like I was), you should be happy. As mentioned previously, DON'T bother looking for any lyrics, liner notes, or anything else. The packaging and the disc itself, screams bootleg or cd-r.

25 of Cliff's greatest hits!.......2006-09-23

This entire CD is really great, all of the songs are fabulous and I love it! The sound quality is excellent and I'm so happy with it! One could complain that there are no linear notes, but I'd sure rather have a great song selection, like this and no linear notes, than good linear notes and a poor song selection. I think Cliff Richard is underrated as an artist, he had a lot of talent. Highly recommend this CD!

Every US Top 40 hit from the 70's/80's!.......2005-07-25

Can't say that about all compilation CD's. Especially hard to find is "Carrie", the follow along to "Devil Woman". "Daddy's Home" is another hard to find single collectors will want.

The Most Complete Package.......2005-05-01

This great sounding disc is chock full of every hit one could want with great sound quality. It might be short on liner notes so buy a book or look on the net, it's still complete and great.

Whenever I spend nearly $25 for a single disc "Greatest Hits" collection I expect to find extensive liner notes and hopefully some interesting photographs. While I would rate the music on this CD a solid four stars the total package is among the most disappointing I have come across in quite some time. Totally devoid of any liner notes or discographies, this packaging would remind you of what you get from the Curb records $8.00 budget line CD's. Shame on Powder Blue Records!!! Cliff Richard has been a major player in many countries around the world for four decades. He deserves better. If you are just a casual fan, then this collection is O.K. for you. But if you are a serious collector, I suggest you peruse all other options carefully before settling on this one. It just may prove to be the best available retrospective anyway. It could have been so much better. What a shame!!!!
