When Chumbawamba--an anarchist musical collective from Leeds--can have a major U.S. hit, this isn't reality--it's more like Utopia. Worst band ever, period. The final sign that the music industry cares not for talent. Basically like the fabricated Spice Girls only they could at least carry a tune. These guys can't even play a radio, just horrible. One catchy song that was ridiculous in the first place and even at that there was proof because it was only in regular radio play for about 5 weeks. Loserville has a soundtrack and it is sang by chump a whumpa!!

Hard to define and categorize.......2007-06-14

As my title stated, this band and Cd are both hard to define and categorize. I just don't know where to place this "style".

Maybe the closest way to describe this Tubthumper Cd (by the band Chumbawamba) is as this: "sort of like the 1980s' THOMPSON TWINS, with a 1990's flair".

Some of the songs are just plain weird. But then, some are basically fun to listen to.

Interestingly enough, two of my least favorite songs are the first two. Maybe it`s because "Tubthumper" was so over-played on the radio.

this album from the tubthumper sessions from chumbawamba is awesome!!! the songs from start to finish not only give you the urge to dance, but the urge to stand up and shout along with the lyrics and what the song is all about! it features clever puns intertwined with fun beats and great dance anthems. great fan of the music, and you won't be disappointed with Tubthumper if you enjoy music as well.

I have to say that if it werent for this album Chumbawamba wouldnt be that popular. Though its kinda 90s its good. The only bad thing I have to say about is the baby on the front is kinda freaky looking. The best song on the album is Tubthumping. If it werent for this song the album wouldnt even be out. And dont worry its not about sex.

I bought it for 3 dollars (at goodwill) but I wouldnt buy it for more than 10.

This is the weirdest cd I have ever listened to. I don't know what it's called but it's to make the song longer. That's cool! At the end of "Amnesia", you hear a lady come on talking about brains; "scoop the brains out, blast the brains with water or air..." The first time I heard it, I thought it was really weird and unusual. I was disgusted by it and changed rthe song. Now I think it's cool. How they put bits and pieces of random stuff in the songs. Cool. They don't do that with all 12 songs. I also like the music in "Scapegoat."

Pissing the night away, pissing the night away playing this LP with no scroll-a-thorn eg. "Bleeped" put words

Wonderfully Original.......1999-08-22

This CD, quite apart from it's political implications, which someone had to explain to me before I even knew they existed, is full of very uplifiting music. The complexity of the various electrified instruments is indicative of great skill in the composing. I especially reccomend the first five songs.
