Beautiful voice.......2007-04-18

Welcome back Agnetha. I am over the moon that she has released an album after so long. She still has an amazing voice and I hope that she releases more in the future. The best song is "Remember Me". I would definitely recommend to buy it, especially for ABBA fans. Thank you Agnetha, you are beautiful on the inside and out :)

I find it so sad that such a great talent and voice goes into a studio and allows such a bland album to be made in her name. The album is a great dissapointment, the arrangements are harsh and amateur to say the least, the voice is the only shining light on this album, but even that cannot make up for a weak set of songs.

Sorry Agnetha but if this is the best you can do, leave us with the great memories of earlier works.

If you do another album give George Michaels or Rod Stewarts producer a call your talents deserve their ability at the very least.

The Voice shines through.......2007-02-07

I bought this after hearing "Every time you walk in the room". I still think it's the best song on the CD, and I wasn't initially thrilled with some of the others. That said, I have grown to absolutely love this CD. It has, of course, Faltskog's incomparable voice, which is even more amazing than I remembered, as lovely and powerful as ever. It's very interesting how she approaches some of the songs -- it's apparent she chose very carefully and each one has her style all over it. I've never enjoyed a cover of 'Fly me to the moon' more. And speaking of more, how about it, Ms. Faltskog?

Agnetha's solo work has always been lacking, so why do I love listening to her? The answer: Her voice is pristine, clear, soulful. There are a few really nice cuts on the cd and a few that don't mean as much to me as they mean to Agnetha. Of course, I would have preferred her to record Jane Birkin's "Je t'aime," but alas I'm happy to have these tunes. If you love Agnetha, you'll love these sessions. Don't forget to youtube the videos for a few of the tracks.

I like ABBA a lot, so I gave this CD several spins. And, man, was I disappointed! Agnetha has one of the greatest voices in all of pop music history, but PEEEEEEEE-EEEEEEEW!!! This album reeks. It's over-produced and contains mostly vapid, trite songs. When will Agnetha make a solo album truly representative of her abilibities?

Cut out all the cheese, please!

At the Turn of the Century, the Former Abba Lead Voice Began What Can Almost Be Called a Research Project on the 60's Music with which She Grew Up. She Listened, Read Books and Checked Hit Charts from the Time. After a Number of Sessions in the Legendary Atlantis Studio in Stockholm Where the Earliest Abba Albums were Recorded, She Recorded her First Album in 17 Years. "my Colouring Book" is Travel in Time and Space. It is Animated Nostalgia Through which Agnetha Exhibits Unrestrained Revelry Among her Personal Favorites. This is the Soundtrack of a Time Gone By, an Earlier Life to which She Returns with the Help of the Powerful Forces of Music. Agnetha Coproduced the Record and Worked in the Studio with Anders Neglin and Dan Strömkvist. Live Musicians Play all the Instruments as Well.

Agnetha's voice is well suited for this genre...and she has one of the most beautiful voices ever. She doesn't quite show her range, however, in these arrangements but this is still something I can listen to over and over again. I would like to hear more from her; I've missed her.

Agnetha shines.......2004-09-30

In this album, Agnetha emerges from her reclusion to bring us a loving tribute to the music of her youth. I am older than Agnetha so these songs were mostly quite familiar. Two songs, "Every time that you walk in the room" and "If I thought you'd ever change your mind" are being treated as breakout songs with single releases of alternate dance versions. Both are good songs, but neither was familiar to me before. I am especially taken by her version of Bryan Hyland's "Sealed with a kiss." While the production is great, it is really Agnetha's signing here that is so wonderful. She exhibits real artistry in this song, but she never draws attention to herself, only to the song. The other song that really got my attention is "Past, Present, Future." This "song" is not sung at all, but only spoken over Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. Agnetha has always been very effective speaking directly to the listener and this song is a tour de force. I did not remember the song, but it was originally done by the Shangrilas in a version very similar to Agnetha's. I have all Agnetha's other albums, but this one has stayed in my portable player the longest. A wonderful re-emergence.

one voice of the world's most popular 70's band.......2007-04-14

Thirty years on and she still sounds great. It's a pleasure to still be listening to voices you listened to as a teen. Agnetha's voice is one of them...Oh ok, it does make you realise you are older, but it does beat hip hop and rap, you have to admit.
It's a cd worth purchasing and enjoying. It contains some old...er songs, but they are goodies.
It's funny, but as I was listening to it, it made think that I would love to hear Agnetha do a cd of Jim Steinman's songs. Her voice would be amazing doing 'It's Coming Back To Me...'

Wow!!.......2004-07-22

I have listened to this album straight through, (something I have never done with an album!) and there is no doubt in my mind that every song is a potential hit. The instruments are arranged breathtakenly, and Agnetha's voice soars. It's better than ever! This album has become a favourite of mine VERY quickly.

Agnetha sings with so much emotion. She really puts her feelings into the songs, which in my opinion, is best.
This album should definitley be at the top of the charts!!
Agnetha does an absolutley fabulous version of "When You Walk in The Room", and "Sometimes When I'm Dreaming" makes me cry. "My Colouring Book" is a very cute song, and it's obvious why the CD is called that. This album has more colours than any other I've ever heard.

So if you haven't picked up a copy of this masterpiece, I suggest you do it soon!

The true voice of an angel.......2004-06-13

I really did not know what to expect,but what a surprize it was to hear agnetha voice,after all its been 17 years.Now she must go into the recording studio with the other 3 members of abba,and finish off the songs that were not completed in 1982-83.Boy can she still sing.My favorite tracks on the c.d are if i throught you'd ever change your mind,sealed with a kiss,love me with all of your heart,what now my love...but the nexted single(if radio plays it)will go through the roof.I am talking about the song"WHEN YOU WALK IN THE ROOM"with radio airplay and a good video this song could get people buying this c.d...It was a very pleasent surprize and i am telling everyone who really likes music and vocals its is worth every cent.And ABBA get back together in the studio and put a c.d. out take the money you are offered and give it all to kids charities.That way you can say you pleased you fans and you did not get together for just the money...Plus you can also wear suit cloths,and the girls can wear dresses,like you did on the singles first 10 years album.You looked great and still do.The voices of agnetha & frida still sound great music needs to get back to the music and singing styles again...Thank you for your music agnetha,your voice and vocals are great...D.J.TIM

It was worth the wait!.......2004-05-27

After 17 years it was well worth the wait. Agentha never sounded better. Most of the selections were unknown to me, but form what seems like a never ending sound track. The title track "My Colouring Book" begins where the last track "What Now My Love" leaves off. I have a hard time picking a favorite as this album just may end up a Greatest Hits package as every song has the potential of being a single. It has been a long time since we have heard this angles voice, but like a fine wine, it gets better with time!
