This a great cd. It has all his hits from Rick's career..I love it.

This 2 cd set has the best songs of Rick's career spanning from the 70s until current. It is a MUST HAVE for all die hard RS fans....and a great way to introduce new people to Rick's music.

He definitely doesn't get the credit he deserves and after listening to this CD you'll see just how great of a musician/songwriter Rick really is.

Finally, a decent Springfield compilation cd..........2006-07-30

Past compilations were very lacking... This is a great collection of hits. Human Touch, Love Somebody, Affair of the Heart, Souls, Rock of Life & Free are faves of mine... I agree w/ Todd (a review below) that Bruce should have been included. It would have made this compilation truly complete.

This collection helps to show why he's been called the "Father of Power Pop" by some critics (inspiring other recording artists to this very day)... & why his music still connects to so many fans out there (who still attend his awesome, energetic concerts).

The man ROCKS!

Fantastic.......2006-02-25

Very strong album and it's great that RS was at the helm to make this retrospective album. He has had a great career and is vastly underated. Incredible sonwriter, guitar player and of course singer and not a bad actor as well. So it is a strong album that covers from the 70's thru the heyday 80's and into the present and his music has changed with the times. And that is the key to longevity.

Congrats Rick for a long career and keep on rocking.

Best Of The Best... And about Bruce?.......2006-02-24

I guess that I'll echo the sentiments of the other reviewers by saying that this is the best collection of Rick Springfield's music on two CD's. All the hits are here as well as some very popular album tracks. Songs like "Carry Me Away" and "Inside Sylvia" originally appeared on the 1981 album Working Class Dog. And "Love Somebody," "Don't Walk Away" and "Bop" are all from the 1984 soundtrack Hard To Hold.

But about this allusive song "Bruce." It originally was only available on the Australian release of Working Class Dog in 1981. Then, it reappeared with a new, remixed music track on a 1984 Rick Springfield album called Special Feelings that was released on Mercury Records.

So, it's anyone's guess as to who holds the copy rights to the master recording of the song "Bruce." And other than Rick's vocals appearing on the Special Feelings album, I seriously doubt that he had anything to do with the overly synthesized, overly processed sound of this album. Not some of his better work to say the least. But I digress... This two disc set is packed from rim to rim with tons of really great RS hits and memories. If you have been putting off getting a "best of" collection because you were waiting for the right one, well, wait no more!
