No rebel country-rock, no metal flirtations...her first album, presents slightly self-possessed songs about loss and breakups, folk-rock honesty...
American Profile, October 31, 2004
..more akin to neo-folkie Shawn Colvin...but she shares the family legacy of pain and,as her beautiful album suggests, pure genius.

No buying tracks here - this is one of those rare albums that you want to own and listen to every song.
From someone who doesnt spend $$ on music..this is awesome!!.......2005-11-17
I haven't spent a dime on a CD in years (it's my own little protest against the music industry's high prices!!) However, I caught Holly one evening on Conan O'Brian and immediately was capitivated by the originality. I was in line to purchase her CD the next day. What a refreshing change from the be-bop crap on the airwaves today. Mature lyrics and some pretty darn sensual music, I can't believe they dont promote Miss Williams more!! She's a goldmine! I tell everyone I know about her and haven't heard one bad thing back yet. Enjoy the CD!!
Awesome!!!!!!!.......2005-10-26
What a refreshing talent. Too bad Universal doesn't promote this talented woman. Lyrics are way beyond her young years. Well worth every penny! BUY IT!
upliftingly honest and something to search your soul to........2005-10-12
i have not been able to stop listening to this album since i bought it. i have shared it with every woman i know that i am close to, and that shares anything intimate with me. granted, my own boyfriend has a hard time sitting still to it, i think this album suits introspective and emotional people very well. it's not necessarily easy listening, but despite her very emotional depth, the music remains uplifting instead of melencholy or depressing. i recommend this album to ANY woman, or man, in need of feeling as if they have ultimate compassion and wisdom right in the room with them while they listen. almost like they know all of your secrets.
Fresh and Soft.......2005-08-13
I liked this album the first time I heard it (which is rare for me). I am a songwriter myself and performer and I am a critic and this one has the goods, even if there is room for growth--it is still worth the price. Reason is that each song is good--there are no fillers or wasted time on this CD. Many other CDs of performers/songwriters her age and older have duds filling space on their CDs which is a disappointment. Not this one. Most reviews have accurately described Holly's voice and style, so I will add she has a fresh and light presentation all the while dealing with solid subject matter. Starting with track #10 there are some great studio musical backgrounds that are worth the entire CD. Holly shows her soul and feeling on this one, and of all the collection I have of music, this one is in a category of it's own.
