About the Artist
Upon completion of his first album, singer/songwriter TOM LUCE met with the program director of a legendary San Francisco rock station, during that meeting Luce said, "I would feel successful in my career if, one day, I was driving across the Golden Gate Bridge and I heard one of my songs on the radio." "...He got his wish, and then some."

Tons of airplay and 30,000 CD's later, LUCE has done what very few independent artists have done, survived and thrived. KFOG / San Francisco, WXPN in Philadelphia, KBCO in Denver, KINK in Portland, WXRV in Boston and WRLT in Nashville all recognized the talent in LUCE's song-writing and vocal delivery. With nods to Lennon/McCartney and a musical sound extracted from Bay Area roots, the combination became infectious. Soon, television would be playing "Good Day" (The O.C., Alias, Boomtown) and then film ("How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days and "13 going on 30") the album also won the California Music Award for Outstanding Debut.

Cut to the present. A new collection of songs, new collaborations and renewed spirit have LUCE poised for a big year. NEVER ENDING is the name of the new album and familiar faces return for the making of this sophomore release. Adam Rossi returned as co-producer and keyboardist. Steve Bowman (Counting Crows, August and Everything After) returned as drummer and Larry Riggs is on bass. All three will join LUCE for the 2005 tour. Former TRAIN guitarist, Charlie Colin makes a guest appearance on several tracks and, as with the first album, many Bay Area musicians contributed to the project.

"The album takes you on a ride through the stages of a relationship, from beginning to end, and back to the beginning again" says TOM LUCE. "The strangest thing was realizing the path of this album is the same path I've often taken in my own relationships. this is one of the best Dickey Lee CDs I have heard. this one has most of his big hits. the only one missing is "Red, Green Yellow and Blue" an APCO 45 he had out around 1967/68. all the hits that are here, are the best recordings I have heard on a CD of Dickey Lee. I am most pleased with this CD. Keep up the good work. it is good to see a good recording of Dickey Lee hits.

Dickey Lee: Great 70's country hits!.......2006-02-06

I wish this CD had better availability, as it has great Dickey Lee songs that are virtually lost otherwise. This is the only CD I've found with "Angels, Roses and Rain " on it. That and "9,999,999 Tears to Go" are great memories of 70's country gold that deserve preservation. Some wonderful memories on this CD...I'll probably go ahead and buy it used before it's gone!

Michel Legrand is one the biggest artists of music entertainment, a sensitive composer and arranger.

Here you'll find a correct selection of Legrand's material with unnecessarily new arrangements though with an impeccable performance.

Many of the songs in the repertoire are still available in CDs you can find here @Amazon and the best Legrand is the original Legrand.

This album stands only for those who doesn't care about original takes and wishes just for a selection of the best Legrand.

Luce needs a major label -- they are truly outstanding........2006-11-08

First heard Luce on their breakthrough track, Good Day, from their debut CD. That CD was terrific, but this one is substantially better. If you're familiar with Luce's music at all, go ahead and buy this CD. I bought it without having heard any of the tracks (and Amazon doesn't include any snippets for review -- somebody needs to fix that.) It's now one of my favorite CD's.

Several of the songs on this CD just stick in your head and play like a soundtrack during the day. IMO, the best tracks are Buy a Dog, The Sweetest Smile, Fortunately I, Wanna Be, Outside of it All, With a Kiss, and Acid Rain. All of them fantastic.

Now --some constructive criticism -- The opening track isn't the strongest. This CD could benefit by renumbering the tracks, like Vertical Horizon did when they re-released "Go". (Recommend listening to the CD starting on track 2 and coming back to track 1 later.) Also, as they did with the first CD, Luce buried one of the CD's best tracks, Acid Rain, as a hidden bonus track. Acid Rain could be a huge hit -- it shouldn't be hidden, making it hard to find for airplay, etc. (It isn't even available on iTunes. Who manages this band?)

Anyway, this is a five star CD. Try it, and then tell your friends. Definitely some of the best new music around.

Never Ending Enjoyment.......2006-05-22

Picture a sunny Sunday afternoon on a garden porch... Sunlight is streaming through and vine-covered lattice as you relax on a pillow laden sofa, sipping a delicious and refreshing glass of your favorite beverage. You're reading your favorite book or magazine, and listening to this album.

I can't think of anything I'd enjoy more, and this album is one of my most favorite in years! Buy it... and then, relax.

Excellent!!.......2006-05-17

I have gotten tired of having so little new music that gets me going. Never Ending has been a breath of fresh air. Definitely 5 stars. I was in Books-a-Million one day and heard this song on the loud speaker (Buy a Dog). It was part of a compilation of singer/song writers on a CD that BAM was offering. I was intrigued and Googled the song when I got back to work. I found that Loose was actually Luce. I went to Circuit City and bought it. I'll have to say that initially I questioned my purchase. The first track, From the World of the Lonely, in my opinion may not be the best selection for a first track. 2/3 of it is trebly. Once the bass kicks in I like it. This and the dead air between two songs on track 14 are the only negatives I can come up with, and they are minor. If you like upbeat melodies that are rich in rhythm, great guitar work, great vocals and harmony, this is worth a listen. I'm 52 but both my teenage daughters like it, too. My wife not as much, but she loves Rick Springfield.

Best new album from a new band I've heard in a long time.......2005-12-02

Luce is Tight.......2005-05-21

My first encounter with Luce was a poster in record store in 2002. I was literally arrested in my tracks strolling through the door, and backed up for a double take. After all, it's not often you see your name in the record store window.

Luce's first self-monikered album received numerous, well-earned kudos. In particular, "Good Day" got lots of adult-FM airplay, and was featured in "How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days." The entire album was a gem from start to end.

I caught up with Luce (performing with Feel) at the Boulder Theatre, and discussed with cousin Tom (all Luces are related) the challenge of topping that initial release, and the importance of not rushing a follow-up album just to do one. Tom did not need to be convinced. Never Ending is the result, Luce's long-awaited sophomore release.

The albums I love most tend to grow on me, as layer upon layer of nuance is revealed. So it is with Never Ending. Not as diverse in its eclecticism of styles as the first album, but much more coherent in overall sound and theme, Never Ending is about relationships.

Luce has always reminded me of the Beatles. In its harmonies, tasteful use of recording and sound effects, the shear joy in performance, and in nice little surprises, such as the unlisted song "Dancing in the Acid Rain" that unexpectedly begins several minutes after "Marie" ends, much like "Her Majesty" does on Abby Road. There is a stretch of Never Ending that flows as seamlessly as side one of Abby Road, with as much lyricism and musicianship. I find one song replacing another as my favorite. First "Buy a Dog." Then "With a Kiss". Next "Interlude One." Then the combination from "Worth the Wait" through "Never Ending." Like good scotch left to breath, the album gets better with each hearing.

If you haven't discovered Luce yet, you are in for a treat. If you already know Luce from its first release, I think you will agree this album was "Worth the Wait."

Just Bought This CD.......2007-04-11

I actually haven't listened to the album yet, but I do own it. If Limahl can pull these songs off like he did in the 80s, then this will be absolutely fantastic.

Keep in mind that Nick Beggs sang many of these songs (not Limahl). I'm a little bit confused as to why Limahl got the rights to sing them after being kicked out of Kajagoogoo in 1983...but I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact that he was one of the original band members (and therefore has ongoing partial ownership of the band).

This album meets all expectations from a fan that loves melody, raw power and energy through great song writing. Gus G. has great riffs and has the ability to tie in great melody withing a plethora of power chords. So if you are a guitar player Gus G. will certainly satisfy your thirst. He has a fresh strong melodic power sound that is much better that that of Alexi Lahio of Children of Bodom. RD Liapakis is doing a great job again and shows that power metal vocalists can put a sweet touch into raw music power. Strongly recommended...Burning Bridges (1st song) is a great example of what I am talking about. The Greeks have been leading the pack in melodic/classical/dark power metal and this is another kick in everyones behind!!!!
