She just keeps them coming.......2007-04-02
This CD is filled with music that is just as honest as anything she's put out so far. She pulls no punches. Whether it complaining about an ex, lamenting her childhood, celebrating the ordinary, or extolling the joys of a healthy indulgeance in the physical act of love, she lets it all out.
My favorite songs on this CD are Everyday, Funeral of a Good Grrl, and Yeah You. I think Everyday is the most soulful song on this CD. This is one of those CDs that I don't just like a few songs, I like pretty much all of them.

Welcome back Miss Naked! The true follow-up to "I Bificus"........2006-01-01
Here we find all the vastly entertaining pop-punk-rock-alternative music she displayed on THAT record.
You have the urgent, desperate rock tunes, the aching ballads, the seductive mid-tempo songs...all well produced, with intelligent, clever lyrics.
The musicianship is top-notch, with her powerful vocals leading the way.
If you loved "Bificus", this is a no-brainer.
Welcome back, Miss Naked.
Biffy's Back!.......2005-12-15
"Let Down" is an amazing song about the 30-somethings that finish school and live in their parent's basement. Not only is it a great song, but the lyrics are particularly timely to a growing situation here in the States.
"That's Life" is one of my all-time favorite Bif songs. "I Want" and "Henry" are my other favorite tracks on this album.
Bif is often referred to as a sort of "modern-day-Joan-Jett". I think it's a reasonable analogy to her style. For those who might not have sampled Bif's work before, my recommendation is to start with her "Essentially Naked" album - if for no other reason than it has the kick-a $ $ track "Rich & Filthy"!!
Thanks Bif Naked!!.......2005-11-28

The hard rockin', tough talkin' Bif Naked returns with Superbeautifulmonster, a solid stream of catchy tracks made even better by her super-strong vocals. Opening with the primal "Abandonment", her fourth full-length studio release immediately shows that the classic Bif trademarks of deeply personal lyrics sung to a forceful melody are still very much in place. Bif Naked fans tend to fit into two categories: those who like her pop hits ("Daddy's Getting Married," "Spaceman") and the metalheads who like to see her rawk out. Her current CD contains enough diversity to please pop and R&B audiences, however fans of her harder music will be especially pleased with the guitar-driven rock. The disc's first single, the Sum 41-esque "Let Down" is a whimsical tale of a perpetual family failure, while the contemplative "Everyday" is a story of gratitude destined to be a lighter-in-the-air hit at her live show. The only cover tune on the disc proves to be a great surpise: the Metallica classic "Nothing Else Matters" which Bif handles with grace and strength. Before Gwen Stefani became a household name, before Amy Lee showcased her powerhouse lungs, Bif Naked proved unequivocally that alterna-rock women can tackle tough subjects bravely. She's dealt with everything from rape to abortion to abuse--all set to great, harder-edged music. Superbeautifulmonster proves that she hasn't lost her touch, only gained experience and momentum. --Denise SheppardAlbum Description
Bif Naked is back after almost 4 years since her gold selling album Purge her last full length Canadian release. Superbeautifulmonster is perhaps the best description for the 13 tracks as well as the artist herself. Warner. 2005.Customer Reviews:
Rockin as usual.......2005-12-13
The music is excellent, the band rocks. The lyrics are also very special, they are unique to Bif but speak to everybody. They are confessional and also arty and clever, but so true. Her voice is really sounding good, from belting out her feelings in ABONDONMENT to rockin on LET DOWN, to the little things like the spinning sexy things in LADYBUG WALTZ to the little bit where her voice cracks in FUNERAL OF A GOOD GRRL (the bit where she says CRAZY before the choruses). The pace and style is good, varied, strong and soft and everything in between. It can't be compared to anything else, her old albums or any other performers. It's on its own and is a real mix, a mix of all awesome songs, but a mix of styles and lyrics etc.
Best song is FUNERAL OF A GOOD GIRL and LADYBUG WALTZ. I know 4 people who all are sure that she is on the verge of something sexual when she sings LADYBUG WALTZ lol... it's a very sexy song!
Overall, it's a great album, and is recommended to not only fans, but everyone in general.
Superbeautifulmonster turned me to Bif!.......2005-11-20
My personal favorite songs: Tracks one through four (Abandonment, Let Down, Everyday, Yeah You) are hard, soft and catchy enough to replay a few times before continuing on with the CD.
Her cover of Nothing Else Matters, though softer then Metallica's original, is equally beautiful and interesting to hear sung by a woman. She does the song justice.
Tracks nine and ten (Henry, The World is Over) are more dramatic and easy to listen to if you're not all for Bif's harder songs.
Tracks eleven and thirteen (The Question Song, After A While) are her harder songs after Abandonment and Let Down and finish her album off nicely. In the Question Song I am reminded of the Canadian band Three Days Grace, which is a good thing because their sound is unique and to hear somebody like Bif sing hard like them is something very few "rock chicks" can do these days.
Songs I didn't like that much: Only four, but that doesn't mean I don't listen to them. Track five (That's Life) is too radio friendly and sounds like something they'd play in the background of a teen movie.
Track seven (I Want) isn't horrible, but I find it too repetitive for my taste and not very catchy.
Track eight (Funeral of a Good Grrl) is VERY catchy and you'll get it stuck in your head once you listen to it. The music is great and so is Bif's voice, but I just don't like the lyrics and it kind of ruined the song for me. I still listen to it every so often.
Track twelve (Ladybug Waltz) is creative and fun, but I find Bif's voice to be kind of squeaky and annoying in this song. If that doesn't bother you then it's a great song.
So that's my first review. I would give Bif five stars for making a kick ass album. Even the songs I didn't like as much are still good, and if those are her worst then she truly is a genius at music making. I would advice anybody who's into hard rock bands and who isn't of the faint of heart to buy Bif Naked's Superbeautifulmonster for a different take on female rock vocalists, because Bif is the present queen of rock! And if you can't handle her then stick to someone safe like Avril Lavigne. Thank you.
A more mature Bif .......2005-10-24
Bif Naked Rides Again!.......2005-08-17
For any discerning fan of Ms. Naked's, there is a LOT of new material here. Never before has she managed to so innocently portray the dark and dirty act of sex as she does on this album. Specifically on "Funeral of a Good Grrl", she sings, almost matter-of-factly "Do it to me now! Do it to me now! I can't believe I just said it out loud!" She then follows that with a grunting confession of "I'll be rockin your world at the funeral of a good grrl."
She has reached a level of maturity on this album that I never truly expected. Not that it is bad, quite the contrary in fact. But over the years, listening to "Dawn" and "Tango Shoes" and "Twitch", there was a sort of schoolgirl charm to it all. She cooed her way through those subjects and left us feeling bedazzled at our lockers. This album...I feel that Ms. Naked and I are equals, and she is telling me about her life. She isn't telling anyone, just me. She is opening herself up, and it is truly an amazing thing to behold. With some help, her lyrics have become beacons of her passion, the music the ship that she rides on. The fans keep the wind in the sails, and thus the Bif Naked boat can sail softly and gently into the sunset.
There are quite a few radio songs on this disc. Besides the current single, Let Down (trivia, it is the only song on the disc she didn't write!), there are at least 4 or 5 other tracks that could make her big on the radio once again.
Abandonment - I get a reminiscent feel of Eminem listening to the beginning of this song. "Well you packed me away in the trunk of your car. You drove me so fast and so far. I tried to fight, but it's too hard. My only momento is this scar!" It's a slower song, heartfelt and beautiful. It isn't soft though, no...it's a heavier slow song.
Everyday - This song, and I was surprised to find this, has an amazing message. I don't think so far that Bif Naked has ever truly tried to influence people's ways of thinking. "If I had one wish: then, I would wish that you would live today like everyday - everyday is your last one." Soft, emotional, and great.
Yeah, You - This song is sexy! She grunts and purrs her way through this one! This could be released for pure sex appeal, but the song is delicious outside of that.
That's Life With Me - Very poppy, very catchy. Perhaps catchier than Tango Shoes, which is undoubtedly her catchiest song to date. You will LOVE this one.
The rest are truly phenomenal, but I do have to point out one more thing.
Nothing Else Matters - YES, this is a cover of the Metallica song. She doesn't change much, but she almost whispers the lyrics over the enchanting, haunting and lighter musical rendition. The male background singer actually adds a lot, and I find I might like this version better than the original.
You CANNOT go wrong with this album. Whether you are a diehard Bif Naked fan (I LOVE HER!) or a recent addition to her fanbase, you will do yourself a favor by picking this up. And...hey you! Yeah, you, buddy! You would like this too! Get it, now, or Bif Naked will come and TORTURE you!
Enjoy.
