Reanimation is the evil twin of Linkin Park's 2000 debut, Hybrid Theory. While plotting their next studio album, the Southern California band enlisted some of aggro rock's leading lights, as well as some of the more enlightened underground MCs and producers, to slice and dice all the songs on their debut (including a few bonus cuts that made it to their Japanese release). Linkin Park allowed their special guests--including Korn's Jonathan Davis, Staind's Aaron Lewis, Orgy's Jay Gordon, the Roots' Black Thought, and Jurassic 5's Chali 2NA--to run riot through their songbook, tweaking melodies, writing new lyrics, and sometimes changing the entire intent of the originals. As a result, this collection of 20 songs is Mr. Hyde to Hybrid Theory's Dr. Jekyll. Most of Linkin Park's atmospheric and melodic moments have ended on the cutting-room floor--along with the self-consciousness that pervaded many of the songs--replaced with a brash impudence that's more rap than rock. Chali 2NA entirely changes the landscape on "Forgotten," shape-shifting the song into an alien being dubbed "Frgt/10," which takes you to a dark, desolate place with only your own disturbed thoughts and some electronic bleeps for company. Awsome! Very good combination of heavy rock, rap, hip-hop. language on only two songs: plc 4 mie haed, & wth>you. It doesent say this, but it also has a video on it, It looks like a transformers movie, very good. Combine that with the fact that it is linkin park, how much better can you get?!

This is a must have for any hardcore lp fan!! The cd in between hybrid theory and meteora that really show the talent and veratility that this group puts out with every project!! Nay i say even if this is your first time hearig linkin park you should still buy the cd, because it's freaken awesome!!

Mash up = crap.......2007-02-05

This is your typical remix album, where a bunch of DJ's take a really good bunch of songs and mix, and mash them up until it sounds like crap. The original songs sounded so great, why mess with that? Also there's a lot of rapping on the album which isn't that great. I'm so tired of R&B hip hop rap, and there's plenty of it on this album.

There's one really good song, "My December", which is classic Linkin Park. They could have made a whole new album based on this song.

When's Linkin Park coming out with a new album?!

not your run-of-the-mill 'remix' album.......2006-10-15

most bands put out a remix album when they need to buy time between albums. this is not true with linkin park. although its not truly new material, its good enough that i'd almost consider it a 3rd album. some of the remixes surpass the originals, like enth e nd and 1stp klosr. the 'guest stars' are incredible, even the ones you've never heard of. i guess i'm a little biased towards jonathan davis because i love korn, but his part in 1stp klosr is one of the hightlights of the album. closed-minded linkin park fans will not like this, because of all the rap, when they don't even realize that linkin park has rap in it to begin with.

I loved Rising Tide. but after playing it for a few days, I grew quite tired of it. and after listening to the Mixtape, I realized what I was missing. The Mixtape is absolutely worth listening, it is like no other remix out there. I mean, Jimi Hendrix remix? hell yes! My favorite is the Bloc Part ft. Apathy and Styles of Beyond. and including Lupe Fiasco just made this mixtape all the more enjoyable. GET THIS

Wow. Now let me repeat myself. Wow.
This is a Mixtape Masterpiece.
Now first off, I'd just like to point out that this Mixtape, is in fact legal.
Not like most Mixtapes that are actually illegal.

Second of all, I'd like to mention that, like most all Mixtapes, this Mixtape only contains "Explicit Content", and yet does not contain a "Parental Advisory" sticker.

Thirdly, I'd also like to mention that Mike Shinoda himself (aka Fort Minor) has said that anyone who wants to, may download this Mixtape for free off of the internet, and he (Mike Shinoda) actually debuted the Mixtape for free download on the internet, before it was ever even released in CD format, on a well hidden MySpace page.

Dope.......2006-04-18

This is the best mixtape I've ever heard. I'm not really into the mixtape scene, primarily because most of them recycle the same beats too much for me, but this one is way different. Fort Minor got creative with this one.

The production on this mixtape is off the charts. It makes the cd. Shinoda kills this mixtape production wise, and he is quickly becoming one of my favorite producers in the game. This cd contains some innovative sampling from bands you wouldn't expect to hear on a hip hop mixtape including: Guns N Roses, Jimi Hendrix, Rush, and Bloc Party; and some of the beats on here will amaze you.

Shinoda is not the most gifted emcee, but he is capable of holding his own on the mic. Apathy and Lupe Fiasco spit some fire on this cd though. Styles of Beyond and Celph Titled have their moments on the mic as well. There is even surprise guest appearance by Juelez Santana on here, who spits a hot verse also.

The official cd Fort Minor put out-"The Rising Tied" used to get a lot of air time in my whip, but this mixtape has pretty much replaced it in my cd rotation. One of my boys told me "DUDE, You GOTTA burn this cd for me" after hearing three songs on it. Fort Minor: We Major is an underground gem.

I just got the CD I like it, but i wish i could say its great. I extrememly like "krwlng" and "my dsmbr". Many of the songs are good but some of them could dissapoint some fans cause they are a bit butchered and some have alot of rap chouruses, but I loke the album. I usually dont like remixes, either. I absolutely reccomend this album to linkin park fans.

A must buy cd, people be talking about ya p.diddy and "we inveted the remix". Yo Sean if you really want to know how to remix linkin park is what i gots to say to you. The remixes in this album are off the hook, and you probably know what im talking about when i say that everyone has one particular song in this album that they like.

The whole effect of the cd case and the names of the songs made me go for it as well as the bands music. Don waste ut time lookin at dis review go buy this cd.

All i can say about this album is 4 words; LINKIN PARK IS ROCK!!
they have dominated everyone in the rock busniess with "In The End" and the popular hit "Crawling" and seeing what I saw in their new :remix: album is fenominal....remixes of Pts Of Athrty and Krwling rele show what this group can do...im waiting to see what they have in store in their new album that should be out this december
