Product Description
Taking their name from the intro to the DOUBLE LIVE GONZO version of Ted Nugent’s "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang," the band’s current line-up features singer/guitarist BLAINE CARTWRIGHT, lead guitarist RUYTER SUYS, drummer JEREMY THOMPSON (a.k.a. "Remo") and new addition KAREN CUDA on bass and supporting vocals.

BLAINE CARTWRIGHT says about the new CD: "It’s like the return of Nashville Pussy. We put some of the sleaze and glam back in, only better. It’s a good-time rock & roll record. We’ve always been in that situation where we had to keep everything going, touring, rehearsals, and writing. This time we’ve taken the time and reloaded. I want to get back to kicking ass in America, ‘cause America needs it’s ass kicked."

The people who felt betrayed when Linda Eder covered several pop songs on 2002's Gold will be relieved that her follow-up, Broadway My Way, is a return to the Great White Way. As if to prove that she isn't limited to either the songs of Frank Wildhorn or ballads, Eder tackles some well-known show tunes. The ballads tend to be overwrought, so it's best to look for the uptempo numbers. The singer's take on "Some People" is technically fine but so va-va-voom showbiz that it lacks the deranged edge that makes the song so compellingly dramatic. Things work a lot better on "I Am What I Am": while Eder doesn't take it to the top (or rather over the top), this is as close as she gets to Mermanizing a number. Elsewhere, "Don't Rain on My Parade" (immortalized by Streisand) and "Man of La Mancha" are appropriately brassy and triumphant, with Eder roaring her way through both songs. Fans of both Eder and Wildhorn should note that the singer reprises her Svengali's "Gold," the title track from her previous album, and an excerpt from his long-in-the-works Camille Claudel. --Elisabeth Vincentelli

5 out of 5 stars Linda Eder - Great Voice.......2007-07-06

This lady has one great voice. She can certainly sell a song. My only reservation about her is that she's a bit cocky. I think she could use some humility.

5 out of 5 stars Not a voice.......an instrument.......2007-02-17

Unbelievable breath control, phrasing, and style. My 10 yr. old Granddaughter who heretofore has listened and loved the usual rap
and hip-hop, heard me playing this disc and begged me to buy her
one........and I did, and she plays it all the time, and to her
friends. Linda Eder exceeds the Streisand mystique by far.

5 out of 5 stars the best female singer of the great american standards........2006-07-24

i am turning 60 years old this year. i went to my 1st.broadway
musical in 1960. over the years i have had the honor to see
almost all of the giants of american song, garland, streisand,
patti lupone, lena horne, betty buckley, barbaracook etc. in
"broadway, my way" linda eder cements her place as the best of the best. from an anthem like "i am what i am" to the lovely
"on the street where you live" captures you body and soul.
i loved this album, and don't ever miss a chance to see her live. JOHN POWER

5 out of 5 stars The powerful and beautiful voice of Linda Elder.......2006-02-23

A great selection of songs. Tremendous amount of energy in Linda's voice. I just love it.

5 out of 5 stars Linda Eder shines with her Broadway album.......2006-02-18

Wow! Linda Eder has an outstanding voice. She sells Broadway in the styles of Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand. After hearing this you will want more.

Director David Lynch's affection for kitschy lounge music and emotionally overwrought mid-century pop has long since proven to be more than trend or irony; indeed, it's often the uneasy spiritual axis of his films. The soundtrack of Mulholland Dr. turns on the usual Lynchian motifs (the brooding atmosphere of Angelo Badalamenti's ominous synth-and-orchestra cues tossed with a dash of Lynch's own off-center compositions), yet manages to evoke a sense of foreboding that's distinctly its own. Badalamenti leads off with a curve, the nervous orchestra swing-romp "Jitterbug," before descending into a dark soundscape that becomes murkier and more avant-goth at every turn. Bubbling through that morass are pop nuggets variously cheesy (Dave Cavanaugh's lounge-ready "The Beast"), lugubriously bluesy (Sonny Boy Williamson's take on Willie Dixon's "Bring It On Home"), and alternately innocent ("I've Told Every Little Star") and liturgical ("Llorando"). Three tracks of the director's own (cowritten with John Neff) skulking Lounge Music from Hell ratchet up the tension even further; it's the perfect garnish for this darkly delicious film-music cocktail. --Jerry McCulley

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars In this dream, you are Betty Elms.......2007-01-13

The reviews here simply don't do justice to the soundtrack. It's very hypnotizing and elevates you to this reality that you indeed have the same mental energy displayed by the first character of Betty Elms, who Diane Selwyn identifies with as herself in a dream she is having. The dark scenery conveyed by this music puts you in her place, where through darkness you hold to your innocence. The movie and music interplay in this way to the effect of putting you in that darkness where you are the same girl that Diane is seeing in her dream, the girl she knows herself to be without the hellish reality she is in as a sort of resolve to the hell she's in. This Naomi Watts specifically conveyed what I thought is a part of me that may also be a part of you, and you will notice it in the way you look at things and how your face expresses your innocence to a dark world. Then there is the music for Rita. I also reviewed the movie, which I also recommend. My favorite track is the 9th one in this respect. Secondly, which you may find suitable for your funeral, is the last song. The rest I almost prefer watching the movie and appreciating it all while viewing, but it's music you must have after you've seen it.

4 out of 5 stars Badalamenti does it again........2006-11-17

If you're a fan of Angelo Badalamenti's scores for David Lynch, you'll want to add this to your collection as well. Haunting synth pieces lull you into the dreamlike world Lynch created with this film, and there are some other types of music to jazz it up a little. Particularly striking is Rebekah Del Rio's cover of Roy Orbison's "Crying."

5 out of 5 stars Take a drive through David Lynch's musical hell and deluding darkness..........2006-06-26

To start of, I regard "Mulholland Dr." as David Lynch magnum opus, his most masterfully created cinema of deceit, lust and darkness. Compelling, totally deranged, original, sometimes hilarious funny, and three minutes later scary as hell.

David Lynch's movies are always heavy set on atmosphere, and this is partly caused by the director's long time musical collaborator Angelo Badalamenti. From the jazzy, loungy tunes for the t.v. series "Twin Peaks" to the dark overtones of "Blue Velvet", Badalamenti knows wich buttons to push to make an eerie composition, a few notes of estrangeness and give the audience an unsetteling feeling.

"Mulholland Dr." is filled with music. Most of it is purely on the soundrack with Badalamenti's score coming very close to high quality dark ambient acts like Lustmord, Raison d'Etre or Hazard, others are sung "live" in the movie, like Linda Scott's sweet bubblegumish "I've told every little star", two very hip tunes ("The beast" by Milt Buckner and Sonny Boy Williamson's "Bring it on home") and of course Rebekah Del Rio's acapella performance of "llorando", the Spanish version of Roy Orbison's evergreen.

But the greatest surprise to me were three tracks by David Lynch himself in collaboration with one John Neff. And these three pieces are to be find on a solo cd by David Lynch called "Blue Bob".
I never knew before seeing "Mulholland Dr." that David Lynch is also a guiter player and singer. Now I know and I must say that his song "Mountains falling" is the most brooding, creeping, swirling and erotic sounding piece of electric guitar music I have ever heard.

So play this album and hit the road, Jack. And pray that indeed you will come back...

4 out of 5 stars dark and (often) beautiful.......2005-11-25

anyone who has seen mulholland drive knows that the soundtrack lent a very important hand to the overall vibe of the movie. so you would think that it would be hard to enjoy one without the other, but this soundtrack suceeds very well on its own. alot of film scores are fine and enhance the movie while yr watching it, but are trash when taken alone and this sndtrk is kind of above that. i'm not really big on any of the lynch/neff tracks, but they work fine in the movie. the other songs that weren't written by badalamenti are pretty good and are a nice change of pace. my favorite tracks are dwarfland/love theme (especially the latter half), mulholland drive/love theme, llorando, and diane and camilla. i dont believe that diane and camilla was in the movie, but its a very beautiful piece that i think sums up the diane/camilla relationship quite well. anyway, i really like this cd and anyone who enjoyed the film would do well to pick this up

5 out of 5 stars A dark journey through the sphere of horror........2005-10-26

It may not be a horror movie, but the score for Mulholland Drive could be a journey through the ultimate graveyard or haunted house on a stormy Halloween night. I have never even seen the movie, though I love David Lynch's movies for the most part. This score is a dark and haunting musical journey that might work well for a score to a creepy vampire movie or something. Some of it, including the heavy jazzy and dark rock pieces, might be better suited for a suspense thriller, which it is. But the more ambient dark themes could work in any supernatural thriller much as Mark Snow's music could. Enjoy the tour! Ha! Ha! Ha!

5 out of 5 stars Fabulous for any Broadway-lover.......2007-01-30

Packs into 5 CD's a sampling of Broadway tunes from the 20's thru (almost) today, mostly from original cast recordings. Includes not just well-known hits, but also some lesser-known gems. Sound quality is first rate, booklet is informative too. Have given this as a gift to several friends with rave reviews.

5 out of 5 stars Top Shelf.......2007-01-04

This is THE definitive collection of Broadway hits. I have other collections, and none of them measure up. A great deal of care was obviously taken in compiling and presenting this box set. It covers a lot of ground, starting with some long-forgotten but still very enjoyable hits from the days of yore, and finishing with present-day favorites. To the best of my knowledge, the recordings are by those who made them famous. You won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 stars TERRIFIC CD'S.......2006-03-23

THESE BROADWAY MUSICALS CD'S ARE A BROADWAY LOVERS DREAM. WITH EACH SONG, MEMORIES COME FLOODING BACK. BOTH THE FAMILIAR AND THE FORGOTTEN SONGS ARE A TRUE LISTENING PLEASURE. IF YOU LIKE BROADWAY, YOU'LL LOVE THIS SET.

5 out of 5 stars Great Collection of Broadways greatest Songs .......2005-06-14

This Collection was perfectly made it has almost all the most famous Broadway songs on this 5 cd set. The Music is great and has Broadways greatest treasures like "Memory""People""With One Look""Give my regards Too Broadway" just to name a few of this numerous cd set with over 100 songs. This is a great buy if you like musicals or The music of Broadway

5 out of 5 stars Great Compilation!.......2005-01-17

If you are a fan of the Broadway Musicals, this is a collection that you should purchase. Since I got the 5 disc set I've enjoyed listening to it. The majority of the songs are done by the original singers. The collection is priceless considering that you will have over 100 songs from popular musicals since the beginning of Broadway

More comedy monologue than musical performance, Bea Arthur's one-woman show Bea Arthur on Broadway: Just Between Friends collects memories from the silver-haired star's life on Broadway (Fiddler on the Roof, Mame, The Threepenny Opera) and television (Maude, The Golden Girls).

"I wanted to see if I had the guts to just come and be myself," Arthur says in this performance recorded in front of a live audience in December 2001. Alongside co-creator and pianist Billy Goldenberg, she offers wry and often funny anecdotes about her career and the people she's worked with (Angela Lansbury, Pia Zadora). When she does sing ... well, even decades ago Arthur didn't have a beautiful voice, but she's well-suited to the comedy songs. And her versions of Kurt Weill's "Pirate Jenny" and Goldenberg's own "Fifty Percent"--while they won't make anyone forget Lotte Lenya or Dorothy Loudon--are effective in their own right. Bea Arthur on Broadway is definitely more Bea than Broadway, but it's a career well worth remembering. --David Horiuchi

5 out of 5 stars And Then There's BEA!.......2007-01-20

Thank goodness this is available on CD. I saw the show twice in Manhattan and once in P-town MA. She is an American treasure. What's nice is that you don't need to have had seen the live performance to enjoy this CD. (Though I'd love to have it on DVD.) Just Bea, Billy, a piano and yet so much more!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Golden Girl Shines Brightly.......2005-10-21

For anyone who has ever laughed as Bea Arthur deftly put people in their place with her lightning quick wit as Dorothy on the "Golden Girls", they will not be disappointed with this CD. Arthur, some 9 years after leaving the small screen, returns triumphantly to her professional roots, the stage, and does not disappoint. Mixing antedotal stories with classic songs, all to the accompianment of Billy Goldenburg, Arthur weaves her life in a brillant 90 minute tapestry so that the listener regrets ever reaching the end. Anyone who has ever seen Arthur perform on stage, or as Maude or Dorothy, they will not regret purchasing this CD. For that rare minority of people who have not have the privilage of seeing Arthur previously should find out what they have been missing of this American icon.

Bea Arthur. Nearing 80. And yet, her continuing vitality is blatantly obvious in this live recording. I will tell you this--I bought this disc with no expectations whatsoever. I like Golden Girls as much as the next chap, and I was slightly curious about what Bea had become.

The simple truth was that I was stunned. Completely stunned. Again, this sounds as the same, alive, malicious woman who portrayed those "affirmative women" on TV (per her own words). She mocks her own voice, recalling the humiliation of being mistaken for the man of the house through the phone ... and some--who buy this disk with the intent of getting a faultless musical performance--might agree (and according to some reviews her, HAVE agreed) that her voice is perhaps too deep, too cutting, not pure enough. But this is NOT (and I stress it) a musical performance per se, it is not a perfectly rounded voice singing perfect standards.

What this disc is? A drama performance. The songs are intermissed with speech interludes, during which Bea narrates anecdotes from her past experience as an actress--and that's is PRECISELY what is MAGIC. You feel as though she's inviting you to witness the high points of her life, and it's a very nice place. The songs, seem alive as rarely before, because they are performed. She renders them with life, and make the most of her abilities.

I really appreciated some of the smaller things. You get to recognize her trademark, slightly embarassed, `You know' ... She'll make you laugh with good natured reminiscence ("A Mother's Ingenuity"!); some of the songs are delightfully imperfect, (I learned to love the half-sung/half-spoken "What Do You Start" ...), some others are wonderfully dynamic ("What Can You Get a Nudist For Her Birthday?", "Threepenny Opera/Pirate Jenny" ...), but all are very enjoyable ...

Be it "Isn't He Adorable?" or "If I Can't Sell It, I'll Keep Sittin' on It" ... every track on this disc will have you fondly reminisce or curiously discover the career of one helluva woman.

You really can't be disappointed. I promise.

If only we could have a visual as well!

5 out of 5 stars A trip down memory lane..........2003-10-19

Bea Arthur, one of the finest performers of her time.
Bea is most known for her role on the sitcoms Golden Girls and Maude, but she's done so much theater work as well.
She was in the cast of the original U.S production of "Threepenny Opera" starring Lotta Lenya, and in the original cast of "Fiddler On The Roof" and "Mame". But Bea started her theater career in a show called "The Shoestring Revue".
Bea stoled the scene every night when she performed as yente the Matcmaker on "Fiddler On The Roof" and she also got a hole lot of response as Vera Charles on "Mame", starring Angela Lansbury. In this live performence Bea performs a collection of songs chosen by herself, such as, "Let's Face The Music And Dance", "Isn't He Adorable", "Fifty Percent" and her theme song from Mame "The Man In The Moon". Bea is absolutely one of our time finest performers, with her witty sence of knowledge and her indefiable voice she has establised herself as a broadway legend, alongside Judy Garland, Elaine Stritch, Mary Martin. She is one of the last broadway female legends alive. And still going strong, Bea is rounding 80, but you wouldn't notice.
Do yourself a favour and take a trip down down memory lane, it's your chance to hang out with the last female broadway legend around.

5 out of 5 stars A Truly Remarkable Accomplishment.......2003-06-16

As a huge fan of Bea Arthur's, I was very excited when I heard she would return to Broadway to do a one-woman show. Not since winning the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for "Mame" has Bea Arthur been on stage. Well, what a way to follow up! This cd (which was recorded during a live performance) Bea gives fans an intimate look into her show business life. The stories are very funny and touching, and the songs (which Bea picked out herself) are fun, beautiful, and magical. A favorite part of this cd for me, is when Bea talks about her days on TV. She was the star of two very successful and groundbreaking sitcoms, "Maude" and "The Golden Girls" I am a huge fan of "The Golden Girls" and Bea's character Dorothy was always my favorite. This cd is a must for any Bea Arthur fan, but the appeal of this amazing show goes beyond her hardcore fans. Any fan of classic Broadway and cabaret songs will love this cd. This is one of the favorite cds I own, and should be treasured by more people. And finally, as a sidenote, Bea's one-woman show was nominated for a Tony Award in 2001 in the category of Best Special Theatrical Event.

5 out of 5 stars awesome album.......2007-05-28

It's a tragedy this band ended the way it did, because they could have been huge. They had a sound that nobody else can match today. These guys started an entirely new genre of rock, combining funk, punk, and hardcore. Buy it today

5 out of 5 stars Get Some .......2006-10-02

Get Some is a wonderful example of musical styles fusing. Punk, hardcore, metal and funk come together on this disc that keeps the pressure on until the unexpected but good track Get Some Keez. It's unfortunate that Lynn Strait died before this band could expand and grow. My favorite tracks are I Jus' Lie and Tecato. This album is a good balance between fury and melody. A good addition to any collection and well worth the price.

5 out of 5 stars Tribute.......2006-07-08

This guy deserved it for real... he isn't or I should say he wasn't an icon at the time, but he influenced so many lives. Helped in so much music. Tragedy doesn't explain it. I have bought this album six times now because I end up giving it to someone who hasn't heard them. I would also do it 10 more times... The reviews will be sad, but the music isn't. It is just great Rock!

5 out of 5 stars If Only They Had Lived..........2006-06-12

You want power...nuts...and emotional f***ing guts?!?!? The lead singer (RIP) delivers enough raw, peeled-back nakedness to make those "wannabe" rockers (Limp Bizkit, Machine Head, etc) pale in comparison. This CD rocks! Whatever your political persuasion, you cannot deny the passion that screams from this classic. I agree with other reviewers...had the members survived, SNOT would have easily surpassed KORN & the likes as THE MOST POWERFULL ROCKERS today. Buy this CD! I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

2 out of 5 stars Snot - 'Get Some' (Geffen).......2006-05-08

Snot has put out, what I assume a title that some patrons might tag as a hardcore CD with 'Get Some'.Upside of this release is that it was produced by none other than T-Ray(Helmet,House Of Pain).Overall, this fifteen track effort is pretty generic.Tunes that were okay include "Joy Ride","Snooze Button","Deadfall"(possibly the best song of the entire disc)and "Mr.Brett".Simply didn't do much for me.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars A forgotten gem . . . .......2005-01-29

In case you didn't know, Jeff Healey's fame came with his 1988 hit single 'Angel Eyes', and you might have seen him performing AND acting one of Patrick Swayze's forgettable movies, Road House. While "Angel Eyes" was a terrific song, it only scratches the surface of Healey's extortionary talents.

Get Me Some came after a 5-year hiatus in which the band lost it's contract with it's record company, so this album was released under his own Canadian label, Forte Records. It received little promotion and sold very poorly, which is a shame because it is one remarkable record. There a several fantastic tracks, and Mr. Healey plays with emotion and skill rarely seen from today's mainstream musicians. Most tracks stand out, with only one or two not withstanding the test of time. The opener, Which One, is the heaviest, and there are several mid-rockers and ballads. When you hear Macon Georgia Blue, you'll never be the same.

If you like ANY kind of music, do yourself a favor and buy this album. You won't regret it.

5 out of 5 stars WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!!.......2003-02-08

i had heard that this cd was finally out, took me a little while to find it, but it was WELL WORTH THE WAIT, wow, this man and his band amazes me everytime they release new music, i've listened to them ever since i saw the movie roadhouse, 10 of the tracks on this 13 track disc are keepers, my favorites being, which one, love is the answer, my life story, i tried, holding on, and my #1 favorite macon georgia blue, i haven't heard very many healey band tunes that i didn't like, so maybe i'm a little biased, but this is hands down one of the bands BEST!!

5 out of 5 stars Absoloutely amazing.......2003-01-04

Get Me Some is truly a great album. I must admit, it took a couple of listens to get into, but now I still can't stop listening to it. I first heard I Tried and I should have told you on the House of Blues Website and immediatelt started the hunt for this CD. All of the tracks have a great sense of feeling and soul which pours out of Jeff and band with songs such as Feel Better and I Tried. My only disappointment was that it was not released here in Australia and had to get it on import. Other than that, I hope to hear more of the same from Jeff Healey in the future.

5 out of 5 stars amazing.......2002-04-01

amazing cd is filled with great ballards like i tried to the great rockin tunes of my life story and the house is burning down. the guitar playing and singing is at his best. the cd rocks like the see the light and gets mellow like angel eyes

Album Description

Taking their name from the intro to the DOUBLE LIVE GONZO version of Ted Nugent's "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang," the band's current line-up features singer/guitarist BLAINE CARTWRIGHT, lead guitarist RUYTER SUYS, drummer JEREMY THOMPSON (a.k.a. "Remo") and new addition KAREN CUDA on bass and supporting vocals.

BLAINE CARTWRIGHT says about the new CD: "It's like the return of Nashville Pussy. We put some of the sleaze and glam back in, only better. It's a good-time rock & roll record. We've always been in that situation where we had to keep everything going, touring, rehearsals, and writing. This time we've taken the time and reloaded. I want to get back to kicking ass in America, `cause America needs it's ass kicked."

4 out of 5 stars Cool but it's kinda different than the others.......2007-01-21

I'm a huge Nashville pussy fan and this album leaves me with mixed impressions.
What i've liked:
a)Energy.Yes,from the opening song Nashville pussy attack you with some great rock tracks.
b)The first two tracks, which i believe are the best of this album. They realy rock.
c)Karen Cuda. She is a gorgeous woman and a great bass player. She also fit very well in the band, during the studio and live sessions as well. It's like playing there for years.Good work girl!

What i didn't like:
a)The sound.Although it's crystal clear,i think it's just too modern.
b)They lack fast tunes.
c)Their present style. It seems that they've changed it in a way.The songs sound more simple and there are many guitar gaps which could be fullfilled with riffs and licks. It's more heavy and modern and it doesn't come very close to their old-time rock n' roll feeling they had in their first three albums.

I consider myself as a quite traditional rocker and this album is just to my limits. It's cool, full of energy, but i prefer their previous ones (even "say something nasty" which had their worse sound).I just hope they'll come back with some good rock n' roll spirit and not try to be mainstream.

5 out of 5 stars The Pussy always warms my heart.......2006-10-25

As Blaine himself has said on stage, rock music has been relegated to the fringes, ignored by radio, cast aside, but records like this one show that bands like Nashville Pussy cannot be ignored. This is rock and roll the way it was meant to be, as raw and raucous as possible, and all about sex and having a good time. The addition of Karen Cuda on bass has revitalized NP into a driving juggernaut of relentless riffage, tearing America a new one, then breaking their booted foot off in it. The exhuberance of this album, even on songs that you would think aren't exhuberant like "Hate and Whiskey" powers through at any volume. This is a great rock band having the time of their lives with their best line-up ever, and their songwriting at its peak. This is the kind of rock and roll record that can put you in a good mood, cure your depression, make you fall in love with a stranger, make you buy a new leather jacket and spraypaint obscenities onto it. For my entertainment dollar, Nashville Pussy is the most fun rock band touring today, and this record is a sparkling representation of their rock and roll spirit. With the Colorado Cuda on bass and the Canadian Cannonball on guitar, Remo and Blaine each have both hands full of titillating, tumultuous tools of tuneful tenaciousness.

5 out of 5 stars Th Best Pussy Album.......2006-04-09

I'll say this: Get Some is THE best Nashville Pussy album ever. All their past records pale in comparison to this fun album, epecially the sub par Say Something Nasty". If you had to own one Pussy album then this is it. They werent kidding when they said they were back in a big way. Daniel Ray produced it and concidering his history with the Ramones, I had to buy this on a whim. Plus a rock N roll cover of a Tina Turner song? Unbelievable. Get this record and then GET SOME!

5 out of 5 stars Their Best Yet...........2006-04-01

I popped this in the car cd deck after listening to the Cult's "Electric" & Gun's "Appetite For Destruction" constantly for the last two weeks. You know what? This effort by Nashville Pussy blends the best elements of those two albums and throws in a bit of sleaze like only the Pussy can do. This may arguably be the bands best album, seriously. There's an energy and vibe here not even the first album can touch. The songs flat out rock, the production is first rate (this album has a great overall "sound"), great lead guitar from Ruyter, the new rhythm secton of Karen & Jeremy pound LAMF and Blaine's vocals are killer as usual. I can understand the references in previous reviews to Blaine sounding like Alice Cooper...but only slightly. Blaine is Blaine, case closed. If anything he sounds more like the late Sam Kinison combined with someone like Brian Johnson from AC/DC. The other thought that struck me is the "depth" of Blaine's lyrics. Although they are written in a profane, sleazey, trashy, redneck sort of vain...there is a "profoundness" here absent from the bands previous releases (how often, if ever, has one of the most important figures in the hisory of organized religion been refered to as the "super chimp"?). Throw in a smokin' cover of Ike & Tina's "Nashville City Limits" (as good as Seger's from "Live Bullet") and you've got a 5 star plus release.
All in all a must have add to cart. Anyone who is a fan of this band will consider it money well spent.

5 out of 5 stars It's Pussy Time.......2006-04-01

The boys and girls are back for another over the top hard rocking glam fest that makes it feel like 1973. If you are not familar with Nashville Pussy, and that is highly possible because they will never get played on the radio, they are a hard rocking, glam banging, punk playing, bunch of red necked hillbillies. Take Skinner, AC/DC and add the vocals of Alice Cooper and out comes Pussy. As a matter of fact, the lead singer is sounding more and more like Alice Cooper with each record. And that ain't a bad thing at all. Some juvinile lyrics but who cares. It is guitar driven, attitude laced real rock and roll. You gotta love it.

    Short and Sweet!

In case you're wondering why this is only going for $2. for new copies from secondary dealers, is because it wasn't worth the $16.00 it originally was priced at! What a SHOCK when I got this home from the store and put it in my machine!

I gave it away in a grab bag at work!

All I can say is: "Miss Horne, I am so sorry that you allowed this to be released...it's worse than the stuff that Callas/Di Stefano did at the end."
