Standing barely 5 feet tall, she possesses a quiet demeanor and eyes right out of a Margaret Keane painting. But what's not tiny about Flyleaf is their music. Their driving metal sound reinforces Lacey's passionate and surprisingly commanding vocals. An awesome band both Christian and Non-Christain rock fans should enjoy.

Yes she screams on a couple of the tracks, so if your not into screaming its still a good buy, personally I'd grown to like it (before purchasing)!

Check the band out on youtube and their homepage and get hooked & buy a CD!

A Rather Nice Change.......2007-06-21

So, I was at Wal-Mart. They had this album there. I bought it without any knowledge of the band. At all. All I had heard of them was "There For You," and that's all. Guess what I got? A rather nice change of music.

Why? Because Flyeaf delivers alternating vocals from time to time, and honestly, I've never heard of anything similar to Lacey's voice. That says something special. All you hear on the radio is MTV supported crud, but this band is certainly not one of those low-rate bands.

Flyleaf's lyrics are complex, and very well-written. "Cassie" is one of my favorites; when I found out this was a Christian rock band, I was shocked. This is different from all the other Christian rock bands, a band that doesn't flat-out stand for their religion aimlessly. Their music presents it well-enough, and that's good enough for me.

From despairing and fast to sweet and a little bitter, Flyleaf delivers. This is yet another recommended band. Pick it up if you have the chance.

Happily Surprised.......2007-06-09

I've only heard two of the songs before. I was happy to find out that I like the entire CD. It's a consistant sound. If you like one song, you'll like them all. There is some cursing and blasphemy, so if that bothers you, don't bother. I love it. It rocks hard.

The four and one half star rating of this album is beyond me. The music is substandard, the singer, appalling, and the lyrics, vacuous! If you are looking for a female-fronted metal band, buy Tristania, Epica, After Forever, or Within Temptation. This is a "Fly leaf" from a horrible book!

Lacey Mosley has an amazing voice , a powerful combination of melody and rage all mixed together. After hearing "I am so sick" and "fully alive", I got a new energy to burn my calories at the gym.. Check them out !!!!
Its sad most of us dont know about them, instead we see all those stupid videos all the time on MTV.

Flyleaf is so awesome!!!.......2007-04-07

I bought their EP CD yesterday, I was going to buy their full album but I didn't have enough money and then I saw the EP CD was cheaper, so I just had to buy it. I liked FlyLeaf before I had their CD because I knew the songs "I'm so sick" and "Fullyalive" I've seen, the Fully Alive video on Sky Angel (A Christian Channel) before, and the video is awesome! I love all the songs on this cd, my favorite is of course "Fully Alive" and "Red Sam", and "I'm so sick", I love all of the songs though, I can't wait to buy their full CD next time, knowing me I will always love listening to their cd! I LOVE this band, they are better than Evanescence! I HIGHLY recommend that you buy this CD, and the debut CD! I can't wait til their next CD comes out! And Lacey Mosley, does really good in her singing and she can yell in the songs too, she's awesome! FLY LEAF ROCKS!

Buy The Real CD not this EP!.......2007-03-08

If this was the Flyleaf CD I'd give it 5 stars but this is the EP, it sucks compared to the Flyleaf CD, the only good song on here is Breathe Today, so buy the real CD instead, it has better versions of the songs on here and more songs, or the import, it has extra tracks and a video.

love this band........2007-01-04

Flyleaf is the anti-evanescence. This band is so much better than most out there. Now with everyone trying to get in on the goth explosion, it seems that there are so many bands that fall short. Not Flyleaf, terrific band, great songs, terrific lead singer and instrumentals are superb. If you like Flyleaf you will surely enjoy Lacuna coil, Sinergy, and Tapping the Vein.

getting a bit evanescencey but not quite.......2006-07-10

I don't know too much about this band but you can visit their site at flyleafonline.com to find out more. I downloaded them on itunes, the lead singer has an amazing voice and whilst it is a bit of an attempt to get evanescencey- it is quite unique- download 'cassie' as a starter perhaps. Really xlent.

All my complaints shrink to nothing.......2006-04-29

Much has been said about this EP, how it's better than the full-length debut, and this, that and the other. Needless to say, I was skeptical. The other day I found it so I bought it and listened to it. Well, I now understand what all the fuss was about and I'll no doubt join in on the praise.

From the very beginning it's easy to see that this EP is full to the brim with power, emotion, and energy. I personally love the debut, it ranks among my favorites to this day, but in six songs Flyleaf completely captures every aspect you love about the debut (if you're like me and STARTED with it), and adds so much more depth. The simple variations to the songs make you wonder why they even took them out. Prime example, the intro to Breathe Today, it flows perfectly into the actual song and sounds excellent. Dumb move by taking it out in my opinion.

I like the raw sound this EP has going for it, kind of makes you feel like you're at one of their shows. Plus, hearing Lacey's vocals completely unfooled around with is a nice treat.

My favorites included are I'm So Sick, Fully Alive, and Breathe Today. I'm glad I went the route I did (hearing the debut first and then the EP), it made me really see how good this band actually is. Haunting at times, beautiful others, this EP contains some of the best songs from the debut. Any fan of Flyleaf shouldn't pass this up.

Awesome.......2005-06-04

I've known these guys for awhile known even back when they were known as Listen, and then Passerby. These guys are gonna put the 254 on the map. Jared and Sameer (sorry I misspelled your man bro) guitars fit flawlessly together and Pat is insane on the bass. James has a really simple drumming rythm but its the back-bone for every song. Lacie has an amazing voice and really amazingly lyrics if you take the time to listen to them. Flyleaf are in the process of recording their album right now so stay tuned for that.

Well when I listend to the CD I really was surprised how good it was for a first CD! Laci's Voice really rocks the Show!
I can recommand this Record to anyone who likes a female Voice to rockgauitars.
Eventhogh the Album just has 4 Songs on it Flyleaf hase become one of my favorite Bands!
I am looking forward heering new stuff from than which hopefully will be soon!

AWESOME CD!!.......2005-05-06

i saw this band open for Breaking Benjamin @ the starland ballroom in sayreville NJ. they were the 3rd or 4th opener, i forget what # they were. what i do remember is how completely horrible the other openers were. they were all amateurs who were sloppy and unprepared and unworthy of of the honor of opening for BB and playing the ballroom. Then came Fyleaf. the music is slightly dissonant, wild, loose and noisy fronted by a female singer who has amazing range. she can sing and scream with equal prowess. i hear echoes of nivana but yet they are their own. on stage this band rocked hard and showed it. they also looked like they were having fun which made the music so much more enjoyable. they were completely mesmerizing. when the first note kicked in, i almost snapped my neck turning my head so fast to see what the source was for this beautiful noise. i ran to buy this cd. amazing stuff.

This album is awesome. Vocals and music are quite superb and is a definite must own for people who like a solid female voice over a great rock sound.

well i just want to say wow!! Laci's voice is awesome. i wish they had made more songs on this album though. other than that it's great and highly recommend it to all!!
