Product Description
Greetings from Imrie House collects 11 timeless power-pop confections, odes to both the good, clean and naughtily winking sorts of fun. They capture the former in the sunny tones of the artfully sleek first single "Just The Girl," and the shimmering "Catch Your Wave" (which layers Beach Boys-styled harmonies atop a contagiously jittery new wave melody) and dive into the latter on the young lovers lust-fest "Friday Night." And to prove those pop history lessons stuck with 'em, they even include a cover of the Tommy James classic "I Think We're Alone Now," done up new wave style.

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars A great pop rock album.......2006-11-26

This album was pretty good. The first single "Just the Girl" is a power-pop gem. The band actually plays their own instruments and writes most of the songs. The only song I didn't like is the 10th track "Lies". That song was stuck in my head for weeks!!! My favorite songs on this album are "Good Day", "Catch Your Wave", "Friday Night" and "Angel to You (Devil To Me)". The last song "Say Goodnight" is kinda sappy but it's ok. Even though the lead singer's vocals are a bit weak I like his voice. Overall I really like this album.

1 out of 5 stars AHHHHHHH!!! THE HORROR! THE HORRORRRR!!!!.......2006-11-24

Ladies and gentlemen, what's the deal with these losers? Seriously these are five grown men with the subject matter
and maturity of a 13-year-old. I think I figured out what's going on here, remember the movie "Big" with Tom Hanks and he plays this young pre-pubescent aged kid who turns into a 30-something-year-old and gets put into all these adult situations and it's fairly amusing? That's exactly what happened with all these wussy emo, pop, and pop punk bands. There must be some secret lab out there that is under the control of the record companies that goes around middle schools and lures them into their clutches and transforms them into "adults" promising them tons of women and money.

Ok so I'm obviously exaggerating but you get my point. All these bands seem to be just unsophisticated ignoramuses that haven't been farther than 10 miles out of their hometown and don't know a lick of what's happening in this big wide world, you know, kind of like a 13-year-old. Well that's the impression I get from idiots like these guys and other pop dribble like Daniel Powter (the dude who sings that abysmal "you had a bad day" song) and that annoying as balls James Blunt (well at least his name is cool) and I can't forget those Hawthorne Heights idiots who are my new "Public Enemy #1" in music.

I'm friggin' tired of these weak pop bands plaguing our airwaves. I mean it just has to stop right now. I thought the boy band era was over but now we essentially have a boy band with guitars disguised as a rock group. I know I sound like a broken record but I haven't written a review in awhile and I needed to vent some anger in a non-violent way. Would you rather I went around blasting away people like this with an AK? Exactly.

But why single these guys out? It's because at work they have the Muzak system set to play every single piece of turd pop song of this decade for the 8 hours I'm there EVERY DAY and one of the songs that's especially grating on my poor brain is this one. I'm complaining because if all of you had to listen to blistering "noisy" metal for 8 hours (the stuff I love) I'm sure you'd be pretty annoyed as well. Actually tonight while listening to this for the 20 billionth time I decided to pull a "Weird Al" and parody their hit "Just the Girl". I gave the song a much more appropriate theme since it's obvious these guys are all pretty homosexual, well I hope you like it! It's called "Just the @#$". Homozon won't let me say it but I'll give you a hint: it's a pejorative term for gays that rhymes with BAG.

He's hot and all the girls want him but he always says "no"
he even pushed me off the runway at our last fashion show
He laughs at my wardrobe but I laugh at his big toe
but why do I desire him? I just don't know

Chorus:

cause his milk tastes sweet
I get a hard on every time we meet
I can't help myself
but to throw myself over him
he's a beast in bed
his d**k slays me dead
and when we're done I always come back for more
because he's just the F** I'm looking for!

he can't shoot a basket to save his life
he can't even throw a ball farther than my bud Jim's wife
in fact he's one of the most effeminate people I've ever met
but the thought of his body always makes me wet

(chorus)

behind closed doors I'm his clandestine lover
he'd never tell anyone not even his mother
in public he looks away from me with his nose in the air
even when I talk to him he acts as if he doesn't care

why he's so ashamed of me outside I'll never know
maybe it's my high pitched voice or my lack of sophistication
but whenever he's busy at night I resort to mast*rb*tion

(chorus x2)

See how easy it is to make a pop song? I made this over a 30 minute period at the most. But where's all my money and success? I won't get any, oh well. At least I have some sanity. By the way, they're forcing me to edit that one word above...it's a shame isn't it? It's not even a bad word! I think I've said enough. PEACE OUT.

4 out of 5 stars good music.......2006-11-13

i really like the music from this CD. all the tunes have a great melody and catchy tunes. my absolute favorites are 'pop princess' and 'catch your wave'!! i first heard their music 2 months ago and i can't stop listening to it! if you like pop/rock music then you'll LOVe this cd. the only bad thing is that all of their songs sound somewhat alike, but that doesn't detract from the overall quality of the music.

5 out of 5 stars Surprisingly clever music.......2006-11-10

Most people are quick to dismiss such groups as this with a wave and a whisper of "boy band" or "pop," but I couldn't disagree more. While that may be true in some cases, The Click Five is anything but a boy band. They show a hint of punk styling (heck, the album art was lifted straight from British punk-pop) and are really more akin to groups like American Hi-Fi; they may be classified as "pop/rock," but that label is a bit too universal. Their music shows honest creativity, which is notably absent from and sorely needed in that genre. Most of the songs on this album are quite catchy, but not in a "pop-ey" way. Overall, I highly recommend this disc to anyone who likes mainstream rock, punk, or pop.

5 out of 5 stars I know, I know . . . but you will love this CD!.......2006-10-28

You may say another studio produced boy band, but this CD is one of the most underated CD of the year. It's great harmonies, catchy hooks and hot boys in the band would make any school girl's heart swoon; but they are really really good. I've lent this to many friends and not one of them dislikes this CD. Even the ones that were saying, "oh lord, another boy band"! Move over Backstreet Boys and NSync, you're the past. Click Five is the present! It's just fun. And in this crazy world, we need this. Try it out.
