Ghetto Gold &Platimun Respect.......2000-03-19
Mad Lion is the first to combine the two musics such as hip hop and reggae. Since Mad Lion has stepped on the set, there have been alot of copy cats. I feel that Nervours Records didn't get Mad Lion the propor promtions and marketing he really needed to compete with the rest of the hip hop artist at the time of his releases. Lion should be a super star like all the other artist that came out around 1993 and 1994. It's a same that some artist that have a large following have to remain undergroud. Big up your chest Mad lion cause the real reconize the real. Lick mad shoots.
Crutial.......1999-08-27
Mad Lion has come back with another Blaster. He truelly is the King of Hip-Hop/Reggae. I really recomend this cd. All songs are excelent but my favorite are "mr. sexability", "take your time", "carpenter".

Another solid CD from Lil Keke.......2005-09-10
Keke is back with his 2nd album of 2001, and of the 7 albums of his I own this is probably the 3rd best. One of the original members of The Screwed Up Click, Lil KeKe da Don is nothing special lyrically but he has a flow where he can kick it on any beat and it sounds nice. Of the 15 songs on here, 7 to 10 are good or great songs, 4 to 7 are ok and only 1 I skip. Guests rap on about half the songs and do hooks on about 3 more but you still get a good deal of Keke. Production is good on most of the songs on here. DX does 7 songs, Solo does 4, Big Sin does 2, and G Swain & Street Flavor each do 1. A great album to have for fans of real southern rap, not the bull$&*% that's on the radio and all around in 2005.

Platinum in the Ghetto.......2005-07-20
"Platinum in the Ghetto" is a great song. The rest of the songs are pretty much hit or miss. I can see how some people would like songs like "Coast 2 Coast," which I don't like. "Pyrex Shakin'" is my favorite song on the album. As a rapper, Keke is all right... think a slightly weaker Z-Ro. The beats aren't great, but in the end, I still used to bump this CD all the time so I'm gonna give it high marks.
Great CD.......2002-02-23
Lil' Keke "Da Don" is back, straight out from Houston! And he made a great album. "Platinum In Da Ghetto" is a Hit just like Lil' troy's "Wanna Be A Baller", and "Cowgirl" or "Callin' My Name" are really tight tracks. The best Songs are "Mr D.J." and "Off Da Chain". It's one of the best Down South CD's ever!! Listen also to J-Tweezy or the new Master P Album! CYA
Not Bad.......2002-02-19
Not Bad, I bought it as I wanted the Platinum in da Ghetto song. I finally got the Lil Keke song Keep on Hustlin' although it wasn't on a Keke Album, it was on a D.O.W.N. album called Southern Slang, also happened it was their song not his. This album was worth buying the Southern Slang Album is worth 5 stars.

Customer Reviews:
weebie....more like dweebie or qwee wee .......2005-12-20
After completion of my synopsis upon this album. I have hypothesized that this (Fifth Ward Weebie) has none of the qualities that other quality rappers have such as: Vanilla Ice, Fresh Prince, Marky Mark, Cowboy Troy or Bubba Sparks. In essence weebie is to rap what corn is to poo. He puts the rap in craphole... He is further enhancing the downfall of society. Do not support this fart face.
tights beats.......2004-05-03
I really like this album because he has some tight beats on every song.Full pack did alot of beats. Which is why i can say i like every single song on the album. Its hard to find albums like this now days.Mystical,3-6 mafia, kane and able make guest apperances.songs #3 and 4 are the best. The only people who will like this is people who like down south beats and weebies rap style.
5th Ward Weebie.......2003-02-28
I think they ablum is alright he's gotta couple of tight songs. If ur big weebie fan then I suggest u pick up this ablum he also has guess apperance from three 6,Ms Tee ,Kane & Abel,so if ur a real weebie fan pick this ablum up.

Well worth the money!.......2001-05-05
First of all the beats are incredible, the lyrics has plenty of meat on the bone, the quality of the entire cd is excellent. Perfect for driving or kicking it at the house. I'll be looking for any future projects from this up and coming label. Keep it up, you guys are going to make it.
beats laid out hot.......2001-03-18
The beats laid for the cd are hot. His lyrics were something that many people can relate to. I was given this cd and its something that put in you car. Ride down your street and thump. Its not like some of the meaningless rap out there w/ just a good tempo. This record has it all you can relate to it, You can chill w/ your friends and bop your heads to it. But best all the kyrics and tracks keeps you listening. I suggest you should give the cd a try.

PLATINUM MAC !!!.......2001-08-23
Dont get me wrong, this is a good album, however Telly Mac of the Gamblaz is the one who seems to have put in work lyrically to make this album worth while. JT per usual is imperious lyrically however the production is choppy with hard and soft tunes that could have been done and produced slightly better..Ghetto Platinum life maybe, but dont let the album name fool u..ITS GOOD BUT..seems too rushed and selling on the GET LOW status. However the hard TUNES r good for the ears and your car..A LITTLE TIP: If u like Telly Mac of the Gamblaz this is THE ALBUM TO GET..Telly Mac at his FINEST..Trust ME!! GET LOWWWW
