    5 out of 5 stars Good Debut.......2006-03-30

This album came correct, skinny had never sounded this great this and will probably not again. If you like 3-6 or skinny pimp u should buy this. The rest of his albums dont match to this, the beats are bumpin too mainly cause it was produced by Paul & Juice. Check out songs like "Ya'll ain't no killaz" "I don't love em" and "All about them prophets".

5 out of 5 stars King Of Da Playaz Ball - Kingpin Skinny Pimp.......2003-04-28

The best solo release from Prophet Entertainment. Some of the best beats post Mystic Stylez by Paul & Juice. As the two have grown as producers, unfortunately Skinny has dwindled as a rapper resorting to recycled lyrics.

5 out of 5 stars Skinny Pimp's Best Album, Period........2002-05-11

Back in the Prophet Entertainment days, Skinny was one of their best artists. Now they are beefin' but this came out back when Three 6 and Skinny was cool. It is a Memphis classic and a cd that every Three 6 Mafia and Skinny Pimp fan should have. It's one of the best rap albums ever made end of story. GET IT NOW!!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars ILL STR8 PIMPN SKINNYDA NIGERO.......2001-11-07

THIS ALBUM IS THE FOUNDATION ON WHICH PROPHET WAS MADE A MUST 4 A REAL LYRICAL (***) ADMIRER. SKINNY SHINES ON SONG AFTER SONG. SO YO FEEL ME YOU OVERSTAND ME HUH THIS IS DA REAL (***)OF DA RAP GAME. SO PUT DIS IN YO BOX. CAUTION:BONE FANZ BEWARE CUZ DIS CAT PUTS DEM SICX FEET.

5 out of 5 stars I got hoes on the track fool.......2001-07-19

What can I say negative about this album? nothing at all dj paul and juicy J were the producers of this cd and you can tell cuz the cd is poppin. Skinny pimp with his gangsta lyrics expressing his every day life from pimping to pulling of heists and putting niggas six feet under. This cd included almost every body from three six mafia but one of my favorites were I don't love em feat gangsta boo. Just another nigga representing the m-town!

    5 out of 5 stars Tight.......2006-10-21

Now let me start off by saying I'm usually not much of gangsta rap or even southern rap. There are a few southern rappers who I do happen to like such as cunninlynguist and outkast but Kingpin is a lot different. I do not agree with a lot of his subject matter but this dude has the tighest flow. He may rap about uninteresting things but I give him a lot of props for finding a way to make his boring topics entertaining with his beats and flow. Its a very nice CD to just kick back and chill to, or blast up with the bass blaring.

    4 out of 5 stars Skinny Skinny.......2006-07-08

Nowadays Skinny just aint snappin to his full potential. This was it though. The beats were straight but his flow was what made this album. that was rare for memphis rap at the time. get this and king of the playaz ball. after that, skinny got on that talking flow that he does today. its annoying because you know he could do better and he just talking over a beat basically to say he put out an album.

    5 out of 5 stars Classic.......2006-03-27

This is his first cd. It is classic! From top to bottom there are no bad songs.

5 out of 5 stars 10blazin ebay underground tapes seller.......2005-04-11

this album is skinny best in my eyes i have all his others but this is the bomb real memphis underground style track 2 gimisum is the real underground demon sh.t i think the other guy in this track is carmike a 36 affiliate back in the day his album was called comin at yo ar,e which i also have the first track skinny but dangerous is heavy aswell also track 4 drop it off is wicked i have this on underground tapes its slightly faster but is a wicked memphis track honestly if you think any memphis after 2000 is better than this you dont know wot you talkin about this whole album is good sh,t and a must for real memphis fans

    1 out of 5 stars Edited review.......2003-05-08

Skinny Pimp has to be the most repetitive rapper in the industry. Don't waste your money. He should stop talking trash about Three 6, because he's not any better. You know why he's an "underground" artist? BECAUSE HE [is bad].

    Album Description

He sauntered onto the scene from somewhere in the Midwest, an international ne'er-do-well maintaining a low profile as he filled listening rooms with Brazilian flavored beats and leftfield sound pastiches. A persona became a gag, then a myth. While the masses partied, he played…constructed. And as the rules changed and the music changed, the magic left and came back as magic often does. Such is the way of electronic alchemists and new beat adventurers, always searching for the New Jazz Science.

Pimp Daddy Nash, a.k.a. Jon Curtis, is the scientist in question. The persona came about during the initial organization of the Orlando-based Eighth Dimension collective - also home to Q-Burns Abstract Message and DJ BMF. But while Q-Burns Abstract Message signed on with Astralwerks and DJ BMF ensures hip-hop don't stop as his ferociously popular Phat N' Jazzy party sprints toward a decade, Pimp Daddy Nash rode out the Nineties with a single-minded pursuit of electronic excellence. Fitting right in alongside the big beats, downtempos, noir-ish soundscapes and spy-themed samples that infiltrated electronic music in the mid-90s, Pimp Daddy Nash found himself recording for Mephisto Records, Om Records, Delancey Street, and FFRR for the duration of the century.

Fast forward to 2004 - the musical landscape is vastly different then when the Pimp first came around and introduced the bossanova numbers racket. Electronic music permeates culture to the core, unprecedented, unstoppable. Unstoppable like the endless mine of musical ideas from the mind of Pimp Daddy Nash. Like the New Jazz Science about to be unleashed on an unsuspecting public.

4 out of 5 stars NEW JAZZ SCIENCE INDEED!!!.......2004-05-08

I stumbled across this guy in the record store and decided to give him a try. I normally go for the "new kids on the block"--opposed to what's popular or mainstream. HEY! That's where you'll find the best music! Pimp Daddy Nash's New Jazz Science is an incredible collection of acid jazz meets funk grooves! Some tracks like "'Cause Everybody's Coming Undone" and "It's A Wonderful Life" are a little too much like Prince, but for the most part this guy is a musical genius, much like the man he tries to emulate. Pimp Daddy Nash takes lounge, acid jazz, house, rock and funk and melds it all into a wonderful landscape of sounds meant to be played by all you hip cats...Highly Recommended!

4 out of 5 stars REINVENTING THE ACID JAZZ SOUND!!!.......2004-05-18

An incredible blend of acid jazz, funk and soul grooves that would make any fan of Shadow, Tobin or Cam proud. Pimp Daddy Nash is in a league of his own and is definitely not getting the props he deserves. Truly "leftfield" jazz, this one will be rejected by those used to a certain style of jazz, but will be gleefully accepted by those looking for that "new jazz sound." Highly Recommended.

    4 out of 5 stars Niiiiiice.......2002-12-31

I picked this cd up after a brief listen over the tracks. Upon listening, I was very glad to find that the music twisted together the rythm and solid breakbeats of jazz with the off color synthetic taste of modern electronics. Jazzy without sounding live, with electronic elements without sounding like a computer soundscape. The album grooves. I am self admittedly biased towards an albums beats, but this CD does not fail to satisfy. And along with the solid and interesting beats, there are some nice funky leads, and warm synth pads with scratching, odd vocal samples, twips, blings, beeps, rumbling basslines and twittering snares. It's a nice amalgamation of electronic mindset and 'live' instrumentation.

5 out of 5 stars Best damned acid jazz around.......1999-08-25

I have heard countless pitiful excuses for acid jazz of people stealing drum and horn tracks and throwing them together, but nothing has been like Pimp Daddy Nash. Nash doesent slack off with his music, he gets multiple loops of horns, base drums/symbols and vocal tracks that always keep the music jamming.

5 out of 5 stars Clean, Contemporary mix of Jazz, Tech, Modern.......1999-02-26

In the Acid-Jazz genre this CD plays clean and modern. Not space-music, or techno, or over-sampled, but clean modern Acid-Jazz that moves. Definately one of the best in this style range

    5 out of 5 stars MOst excellent.......1998-12-08

Pimp daddy nash combines many of the a priori elements of the trip-hop culture which are lacking in today's popular artists. I thuroughly enjoyed his psychadellic baloon to the moon, where music was played and people were talking in the background....it was MOST PRECARIOUS, yet subtle in an acid sort of way. I recommend this cd to all of you who enjoy the british nightlife with a twist of jazz known as the acid.

I just bought the CD going off of his previous release "Still Pimpin' and Hustlin'", which was good. Nothing will ever touch King of Da Playaz Ball. That was, is, and always will be the best rap cd ever made. If you don't have it get it now. It's better than any of the JA Rule, J-Kwan, Chingy $hit you hear nowadays. I think all Skinny's fans would say they'd like to someday see him back w/Three 6 Mafia but it doesn't look it'll happen any time soon. Hopefully this album will satisfy us in the meanwhile.

no one listen to this cos87 character.bone are some biten fake rappers that need to get outta here.oh my bad...stay outta here.3 6 has been around since the late 80s and there style is all original. bone was still playin run dmc records when the triple six mafia came out and a lot of the songs they made that this mainstream cos87 dude never even heard of that you can tell bone bit off of. i bet this dude never even heard of lil glock who was with 3 6 in their mixtape days. stupid layzie bone sounds jus like him.but anyway...this album aint even that great anyway,i was jus angered by this dudes comment.

    2 out of 5 stars Who's Style?.......2006-05-19

In 1991, Twista came out and got into Guinness, then in 1993 B.O.N.E. released Faces of Death and then the classic EP "Creepin on ah come up" in 1994. I honestly think Twista and other chitown rappers didnt steal Bone's style because even though theyre both fast, bone harmonizes their flow, while twista harshly spits his. This album is a clear cut example of how Three 6 Mafia used Bone's style to come up. This album was originally released in 1995 and each of the members of the group sound almost identical to the Bone members. If you want my opinion, Three 6 used Bone's style to come up in the business and that is evidenced through the fact that in Three 6 today. "Stay Fly" and "Poppin My Collar" sound nothing like "Live By Yo Rep", all being good songs. Look at that to comparison with Bone ,, "East 1999" and "Thuggish Ruggish Bone" sound very similar to Bone's appearances in "Ridin", "Spit Yo Game", "Dont Forget About Us", and their solo work.
