3 out of 5 stars It's the funk....iest........2007-05-14

This is a group I've heard of ever since the first House Of Pain album hit my ears, and always wondered about them. Well 15 years later I finally got it and love every minute. The easiest way to descibe Funkdoobiest, is if you like either House Of Pain or Cypress Hill, you'll dig the doobie. This is produced by DJ muggs (CH) and DJ Lethal (HOP), and therefore has alot of similar beats/lyrics as the other two. In fact, I used to think the Beastie Boys were the logical third member of the House Of Pain/Cypress Hill trilogy, now I know it's Funkdoobiest.

5 out of 5 stars classic.......2007-05-13

i love this cd. i had it when it first came out and lost it in a move a couple of years ago. it's funny, catchy and one of the best rap cds i've ever heard. even my husband (who's a huge 80s metal head freak) liked it! my favorite track has to be #8. i highly recommend it to everyone! if you're tired of the misogynistic gangsta pimp b.s. that's all the rage right now, check this cd out. it's just a fun cd that's easy to listen to and gets you in a good mood. no murder, no pimping, no raping, just a good, clean high time. :)

4 out of 5 stars Classic throwback to the early nineties.......2005-10-03

Back in 1993, these tracks were fairly hot items in Brooklyn. The lyrics could definitely be better, but the beats were off the hook. Very good stuff.

4 out of 5 stars phat phuny jointz.......2004-12-17

This is way back when I was a regular Hip Hop listener. I quit listening to so much of it when my interest in Funk and Jazz and Dance started aorund the same time. The scene now is just awash with money grabbin,' meretricious hoods, who sample things like 'Every Breath You Take'...

Back to 94. This, along with Cypress, Beatnuts, KRS, Cube, Tim Dog, and of course, the Beastie Boys, was when Hip Hop was on a real fonky high note. I instantly kew Muggs had something to do with the sound, as the beats are stoned, surrounded by a plume of yellow smoke. Funny Lyrics, funnier Intros, and just the feeling of guys havin' fun.

5 out of 5 stars Cypress Hill Fan.......1999-12-11

This album is really cool, I love Cypress Hill and Muggs produced it so there is alot of beats you would hear in Cypress Hills music. Whopbabalubop is a dope song it's got B Real,Sondoobie and the guy from House Of Pain. The whole CD it dope.
