5 out of 5 stars Put up your Solja Rags!.......2007-06-15

Once upon a time there was a rapper by the name of Juvenile who did his thing under Warlock Records until Cash Money recruited him. At this time Mannie Fresh's production wasnt repetitive yet and Juvenile also joined the crew The Hot Boys. On this album he still has guest appearances by his labelmates like B.G, Big Tymers and The Hot Boys. Standout tracks: I DID THAT, ROLL WITH EM, WHO'S THE M.F., HIDE OUT OR RIDE OUT(the best song on here), SPITTIN GAME(also on Hot Boys' Get It How U Live), WELCOME TO THA SECTION, MONEY ON THE COUCH and THAT'S HOW IT BE HAPPENIN. Filler: Pimpinab**** is the only Ha-like song on here and what's purpose of the radio version of Solja Rag? Bottom Line: Solja Rags is Juvenile's best album next to 400 Degrees. The only reason I say that is because he sounds a lot better on here than he does lately. Plus Mannie wasnt slacking on the beats yet. I'd say its worth checking out.

5 out of 5 stars One of the best Juve CD's........2006-05-14

This CD has many classics like Solja Rags, I Did That, Living In The Projects, Hide Out Or Ride Out. The background sound effects, good production make this CD a Juvenile classic. Juvenile is lighting fast and creative in most of this songs. One of the most underrated Juvenile albums next to The G-Code.

4 out of 5 stars pretty good.......2005-01-30

first off i gotta admit that im surprised i like this cd cuz i usually listen to underground stuff like jeru the damaja and black moon and gang starr. but this cd is nice. i always did like juvenile tho but theres something about this cd that is real. this was before cash money was signed to universal so the only people they had to answer to was themselves if a cd didnt sell well. this cd is fire tho...mannie fresh of course is on top of things beatwise and juve says some real stuff.

5 out of 5 stars NOTHING BUT THE BEST!.......2003-11-21

THIS CD IS WHAT YOU CALL HOT! THE TRACKS, THE CONCEPTS, AND JUVENILE'S FLOW ARE BRILLIANT. IT IS SO HARD TO BELIEVE THAT THIS ALBUM WAS PUT TOGETHER BEFORE CMR SIGNED WITH UNIVERSAL. IT WAS WORLD WIDE MATERIAL BEFORE IT WAS ACTUALLY WORLD WIDE.

5 out of 5 stars Great.......2003-10-19

This album came out a couple of year before 400 degrees.I brought this album only hearing soilder rags. I thought that there would only be a few song i like. Boy was i wrong this cd is on a level of 4oo degrees all the beat are fire beats like that. IT sounds like it.And they have a couple of old cash money artis on it. This is a must have for juvenile collection. Dont mess wit his other cds except 400 degrees.

5 out of 5 stars Outstanding cash money debut for juvenile.......2002-11-09

This album was juvenile's first cash money cd and I must say it's a very good album that has a great feel to it. If you are a juvenile fan and you don't have this album you should go out and get it because you'll definately like it.

5 out of 5 stars Why do people insist this one isn't tight?.......1999-11-16

Solja Rag is a REALLY GOOD album from Juvey. A HUMONGOUS improvement from his first album (although his first was on another label), Solja Rag is a VERY tight album with tight cuts such as "Solja Rag," and "Hide Out Or Ride Out." Just another typical great album from CMR.

Juvenile is a idol in my eyes, he is a young good looking man coming up in this hard world, he lets me see the open doors for youth in this hard world. We as being young adults can make it happen, if only we would sacrfice and put forth the effort to come up in the time of life.
