Greatest hits.......2005-10-23

I am not the big fan of R. Kelly, but this greatest hits album is off the chain. Includes remix bonus disc and the remixes are amazing too, there's tracks from the first albums (like "Born into the 90's" and "12 Play") Includes ballads, soulful jams and obviously Hip-Hop. His lyrics are creative
The remix disc includes remixes from "Gotham City", "Step in the name of love" and obviously the classic "Bump N Grind"
Between the hottest songs we can find "Thoia thoing" "I'm your angel" with Celine Dion and "She's got that vibe" with Public announcement, between others.
Must have for R's die hard fans and R&B fans like me
Maybe the only thing tha's wrong with nthis CD is that some songs are edited. But it's still an amazing collection.

The album has a lot of songs that goes back to "born into the 90s." It is a great combinations of songs that will have you sining throughout the CD. It also has the Thoia Thoing song on there which is a banger. The remix CD sounds good with the 'down low remix', bump n grind remix, i can't sleep remix, gotham city remix, and if i can turn back the hands of time.

Let me tell you all, in a stream of words, what R. Kelly's new CD means. First of all, it's nice to see an artist not completely obscured by a golden shower of jewelry. Early leaks of this project said that Kelly piddled his studio time away; however, this young wiz has done it again.

Missing are the tinkling of bells or wind instruments so many artists choose to lend credence to their compilations; instead R. Kelly has dumped all his talent into a smooth blend of remixes that seem to just slide out of the man. Considering the extreme competion for the dwindled music market, it has to be a load off that his CD has done so well.

In closing, R. Kelly had done it again, rating a solid #2 in the world of music.

If You Want Some Old-School R. Kelly, This Is The One To Buy.......2004-04-26

From his 1991 debut, Born Into The 90's to his latest, Chocolate Factory, The R. In R&B Collection Vol.1 is a great compilation of R. Kelly's biggest hits. Now, let's get one thing clear: this is a 2-disc compilation of hits and remixes. Disc 1 has 18 #1 hits, some of them are newly recorded songs. My favorite songs has to be "Bump & Grind", the sensual, "Your Body's Calling", "Step Into The Name Of Love", "Down Low (Nobody Has To Know)", "Touched A Dream", the classic, "Honey Love", "When A Woman's Fed Up", "I Wish", "I Believe I Can Fly", and "You Remind Me of Something". All 10 of those tracks are R. Kelly's best works. Disc 2 is a disc of 4 remixes plus a bonus track, "If I Could Turn Back The Hands Of Time", which is R. Kelly's greatest song ever. The new mixes of "Bump & Grind" and "Down Low" are better than the original versions. R. Kelly really needs to release a remix album. To my advantage, this special remix bonus CD is just an EP. This collection is missing some great tracks. There is totally nothing from the R. Kelly/ Jay-Z collabration, Best Of Both Worlds or the bootlegged, Loveland. I would've added "Get This Money featuring Jay-Z", "Half On A Baby", "Heaven I Need A Hug", "Did You Ever Think", "One Man" (from the album R.), "I Wish (Remix)", "I Can't Sleep (If I)", "Feelin' On Yo Booty", and "Only The Loot Can Make Me Happy". I was a little disappointed, but this collection is still hot. The R. In R&B Collection Vol.1 is a little incomplete, but Vol.2 will probably complete the whole R. Kelly saga. Buy this essential collection with TP-2.Com and the double-disc opus, R. The R. In R&B Collection Vol.1 is a must buy. A-

One CD is just not enough for a retrospective!.......2004-04-24

Even with this fine collection of 18 songs (15 classic and 3 new), I would've hoped that "The R In R&B" collection could've had another disc of classic tunes but SINCE it says "Vol. 1" then I will be anxiously waiting on "Vol. 2" shortly. I hope it comes out. R. Kelly is definitely a legendary artist and on this greatest-hits album, he truly shows that he's versatile in his craft. This should be in everyone's CD collection no matter who you are. What this man has accomplished since 1992 is amazing. Go cop this and get Chocolate Factory and TP-2.Com along with it--some of the greatest work recorded ever in music!
