For the price, this CD is a great bargain. The musical selections, as you might expect, are mixed in quality ranging from extraordinary to so so, the balance being worthwhile and interesting. Sonically the CD is excellent.

E-40's EP is nothing short of a fun listen. 40's complex and varied flow is matched by none. He can be funny and sincere at the same time. Songs like, "Where The Party At," "Ballin Outta Control," and "Ballin Outta Control" (including the remix) are perennial classics with fun, funky, and bouncy beats. If you love Bay area rap, of west coast rap period, all of 40 Water's albums will offer something to entertain you and keep your head noddin!

This was surely 1 of the tightest cd's of them all 4 the solo's by E Feezy. Federal, In a Major Way, and Charlie Hustle are in that order the next 3. All E Feezies are going 2 be tight some just a little bit better. The Click is the tightest Rap Group 2 come out of the Bay Area. E-40 the tightest most original Lyricist ever out of the Bay Area and there are plenty of Great 1's. Too Short, 2Pac R.I.P. are also representing the talent from the Bay.

This cd is great. Im glad they had the vido music box channel because it was the only place I saw him in 93 when this came out. Then I had to buy this from the hit captin save em, and I practice looking hard. The whole cd is very funky like the old Too Short bay area sound. I love it. THe cd is short but it makes up for it because the songs are high in quality not no filters. Every song is a 10. I wouldnt gave this 5 start if it had more songs. Get this to hear the true e-40 sound.

The mailman is flawless E-40. The reason it is flawless because there isn't any excess fat on it. Every song on here is 5 star quality. Every song has a point and purpose. He is not on the mic just saying lyrics. There is real subject matter here. Each song is actually about something. He is not just flowin' to a beat. Consider yourself lucky because you are witnessing E-40 in his rawess form. This is the best E-40 your gonna hear. This is before the Platinum Plaques before the money. This E-40 still had something to prove to non believers. And you can hear it in his delivery. Federal was experimental rookie stuff. All the other albums are just E-40 defending his West Coast crown. Mailman is E-40 actually going for the championship of the World. He actually sounds hungry on this record. He might be hungry? He looks thinner than ever on the album cover. And for people complaining about the number of songs on this EP... Consider yourselves lucky because in its original release their was only like six songs on this record.

This Album Is not what I call a album First 4 trackz are the tightest with the tightest beats. Best track on here is "I practice Looking Hard" probably one of the best trackz he eva made in his whole career I love that song but otha than that "Captain save a hoe" and "Mail Man" are a discrace. He shouldnt have even made this cd until he got more trackz

Clear and crisp and played with vigor and heart. Mass call is of course Mess Call that someone spelled wrong. What worked for me is that I review four or five calls each night before bed. I hum them first and then listen to the call on the CD. The next day, I work out on the bugle until lip fatigue sets in.

    This is a good introduction to Ska, as well as the getting rarer-by-the-day "Skarmageddon Vol I", for about four bucks or so you can delight in songs such as "Jerry is Strong" by the Bruce Lee Band (Mike Park w/ Less than Jake", the Impossibles "Plan B", Johnny Socko's polka-ish "Barborinski Brothers", Mu330's "Christmas Card", and of course, Less than Jake's all time classic "Liquor Store" Buy this! I found mine at Hot Topic. Get yours today.

    This is a very good complitation, for a very low cost, which is entirely in keeping with the Asian Man records philosophy. Don't think of this as a CD so much as a musical catalogue. It has fast songs, slow songs, emotional songs (Reunion, by Korea Girl) and fun songs (Hava Nagela, Slow Gerkin) and even a couple of christmas songs. How about that?

    This is a budget compilation for Asian Man Records, which for the most part stinks. Some of the ska on this album is pretty good, but a lot of the ska is just too slow for me. The punk on this album does almost nothing for me.

    "Mail Order Is Fun" is a good introduction to Asian Man Records,(In my estimation, the best ska/punk label around today)or a good addition to your Asian Man collection. Never have I bought a compilation this good for ONLY $4! There are 20 Asian Man bands, plus 9 bands on Less Than Jake's label Fueled By Ramen. The only song that I don't listen to regularly on this disc is "Reunion" by Korea Girl.

    Best bands: Slapstick, The Broadways, Chinkees, MU330, Let's Go Bowling, B. Lee Band, Blue Meanies, Alkaline Trio, Less Than Jake, The Impossibles, J Church, Funsize, and The Hippos.

    Bottom Line: Buy it NOW!

    This cd is a collection of some of today's best ska/punk bands from Asian Man and Fueled by Ramen records. If you're new to the scene, then you should definitly listen to these essential bands, but if you're already familiar with the asian man sound, or just sick of the ska/punk trend you should steer clear of this release. The only thing that keeps this interesting to veterens of the scene is the Fueled by Ramen portion of the cd (Less than Jake's label) which includes some great bands you might not have heard before, including the awesome Ann Beretta.
