Quit Hatin'.......2007-05-13
Not complete but good .......2007-02-22
but still this album has alot of surprises. If you like the D-block/ Jadakiss style of music youll appreciate this album. It's hit and miss at points; still one of the better hardcore rap album of '06.
Interscope finally allows Styles P to release "Time Is Money".......2007-02-18
Then all of a sudden late 2005/early 2006 I heard a track entitled "I'm Black" which featured Floetry and I got my hopes up that a Styles P CD would be released soon. Then in the Spring of 2006 I heard another track entitled "Can U Believe It" w/Akon that was produced by Lil Jon. Still everytime you heard a release date for the CD, the time came and went. In between all of these events a beef had ensued between 50 Cent and G Unit and Jadakiss, Styles P, Sheek Louch, and J-Hood. 50 threatened that he would push Styles P CD back and it seemed that his ramblings were proving to be true. For some reason, the powers to be at Interscope were allowing 50 to determine when Styles' CD could or could not come out.
Finally, in December of 2006 "Time Is Money" was released. However, there was no promotion, no video, nothing..... Gladly, Styles P was let out of his contract and now he is a free agent. As to the CD, the 1st track is entitled "G Joint". J-Hood is featured on the last verse and you get a taste of what Styles P can do when he is allowed to get some music out. Styles P is at his best when he stays loyal to the streets and releases those type of songs. J-Hood has some more words for G-Unit and seeing that this CD was supposed to be released some time ago this could just be an outdated track. My favorite track on "Time Is Money" is definitely "Testify" which features Talib Kweli and is produced by DJ Hi Tek. The two rappers go back and forth on what they see is wrong in the world and in the state of hip hop. Talib Kweli definitely gives a nice lyrical performance and Hi-Tek drops another tight track. Havoc of Mobb Deep, (Yeah the same Havoc that is in G-Unit) produces "How We Live" which features Jadakiss on the chorus. However, that shows you how outdated this CD is because you know Havoc produced this track before he signed to G-Unit. This is one of the better tracks on "Time Is Money" and will definitely have you wishing that the next LOX CD was coming out very soon. Gerald Levert (RIP) joins Styles P on "Real S____". Scott Storch drops a tight beat and Gerald Levert leaves the teddy bear at home this time around and he drops a nice grimy hook on the track. This track would have made a nice video if the "G" man were still with us. Swizz Beatz makes an apperance with Jadakiss and Sheek Louch on Style P's remix to the mixtape cut "Who Want A Problem". The track is pretty good but is nowhere near as good as the first 4 tracks on the CD. "My Favorite Drug" uses the same sample that TI had used for his "Why U Wanna" track. "My Favorite Drug" was on a mixtape before TI made the track but we all now whose song was popular and whose song was just heard on several mixtapes in 2006. The song is pretty decent but I prefer the street Styles P over the radio friendly Styles P. "Fire And Pain" features Sizzla on the hook and is also a good track. You just wish that Interscope would have released this sooner or that once "Time Is Money" was released they would have gave this CD better promotion.
"Kick It Like That" is definitely the worst track on this CD as Styles is trying too hard to please the ladies on this song. He is also trying too hard to compose his lyrics around Jagged Edge song titles like "Walked Outta Heaven", "Hard" and "Wednesday Lover". I know that rappers need commercial songs on their CD but I know that they can sound better than this. Since "I'm Black" and "Can U Believe It" were released so early on without a CD it's nice to have them on the CD, but the tracks are clearly outdated. Interscope should have allowed Styles P to have more than 12 tracks on a CD that should have been released over a year ago.
Overall, I clearly sympathize with Styles P. We are quick to judge rappers when they release CDs that aren't up to par. However, if the label is not behind the project 100% this is clearly what happens: Bad promotion, No Marketing and overall a collective waste of time by the powers that be. I rate this CD a 3 and a half, but if Styles would have had people that believed in this project, it clearly could have been better. However, Styles P doesn't have to prove anything to me. I know that he is a quality rapper in the game today. If you don't believe me find someone that has "The Ghost In The Shell" mixtape. Styles just needs a label that is going to be behind his project. With that behind him, Styles won't be able to release a CD without anything behind it like "Time Is Money".
James' Top 5
1) Testify w/Talib Kweli
2) Real S_____ w/Gerald Levert
3) How We Live w/Jadakiss
4) G Joint w/J-Hood
5) I'm Black w/Floetry
Honorable Mention:
Fire And Pain w/Sizzla
Who Want A Problem (Remix) w/Jadakiss & Sheek Louch

SP the ghost comes back strong.......2007-02-03
You may have heard the single "I'm Black" featuring Floetry, which was on the airwaves over a year ago! But it is still hot, to this day. Personal favorites of mine on this second solo project from D block member Styles P include: "Can you believe it" feat Akon (which has an awesome beat from Lil Jon), "testify" feat talib kweli and perhaps my favorite track, "who want a problem" feat the Lox and Swizz beats.
Overall, styles p brings the heat back to the game. I bet Jada drops one more solo and than they all come back together as the Lox to put together a DOPE display of lyricism, yet again!
This one's a little bit more laid back.......2007-01-20

Elaine Stritch is a legend and she knows it. And so she came up with a whole one-woman show about the best topic she could think of: her life in the theater. And what a trip it's been. From Ethel Merman to Noel Coward, Stritch has worked with some of the greatest names to grace the American stage, and she has anecdotes about all of them (most are included on this recording). In this show, she hits all the marks with the acuity of a seasoned pro who's seen it all and whose love for the theater remains undiluted. Stritch is not a traditionally pretty singer (those gravelly pipes!), but she absolutely knows how to give life to a song, extracting the last drop of meaning, dropping pauses for effect with deadly accuracy. Sondheim's "Ladies Who Lunch" and "Broadway Baby" will be hers forever, and a case could be made for the hilarious "Zip" (from Pal Joey) and the obscure, spectacularly politically incorrect "Civilization" (from the revue Angel in the Wings) as well. Fittingly, this two-CD set includes "I'm Still Here," which may well be Stritch's motto. If you're looking for a concise yet bewitching history of the musical, this is it. --Elisabeth VincentelliCustomer Reviews:
A National Treasure.......2007-07-05
Very few people have the length or variety of a career that Elaine Stritch has had. I am sure that she has enough stories to do ten more shows.
If you love Broadway then you must buy this CD.

Another great trip down the MFU memory lane.......2005-10-19
My only problem is that THE CDs ARE COPY PROTECTED! Considerable work is needed to get the music onto your iPod, if you really want the music in your mp3 collection. This is a major hassle and a surprise, since the first set in the series was not copy protected.
The best of the three Double CDs ORIGINAL soundtrack release.......2005-07-12
Indeed, this is an unbelievable collection of three double CDs packages with the complete series soundtrack, and I mean the complete music, not a tune is missing.
And this is the ORIGINAL Man From Uncle music. Let me stress the point: this is the four years ORIGINAL soundtrack with the original recordings as they were heard throughout the series, not a no-name orchestra doing personal versions of the stuff. The audio transfer is very, very good, the music from late episodes is even in stereo.
Each individual CD carries over 70 minutes of music. All in all there you have the four TV seasons main titles and all, absolutely all of TMFU unforgetable music.
This is not a chronological release, meaning, all CDs have a mix of music from all four TV seasons. Volume 1 is heavier on early TV seasons stuff, fans of Jerry Goldsmith will love it. Those of us who prefer what Gerald Fried and later Richard Shores did with TMFU music, then volume 2 is mandatory. If you are a fan, you can't miss any of these six CDs. However if buying all three double packages is too much for you, you must go with Volume 2, no questions asked. Volume three is the weakest of them as it brings "suites" and a whole CD with "The Girl From Uncle" soundtrack, but you have a bonus "Open Channel D" beeper.
Each package is gorgeous, each with a glossy color booklet with extensive liner notes with details on how each tune was written to a specific TV series episode and how it was used onwards. You have bios on the composers, on how the recordings were made, even an overview on how many instruments were available in each of the years the music was recorded.
So, throw away your Hugo Montenegro Man From Uncle CD, this is the REAL thing.
