What would you call a DJ who has yet to publicly display any ability to cut, scratch, or mix? One whose shouts of irksome catch phrases interrupt each and every selection? Would you call him... the Professional? Never mind the semantics: Queens-bred DJ Clue is back with Part 2 of his hugely popular mix CD series. It features the expected cast of playas, playettes, and wave riders, alongside one or two tight-bellied new jacks. Aside from Mary J.'s Yonkers-inflected Caron Wheeler impersonation, Jay-Z's freestyle over Biggie's "Who Shot Ya" beat, and a mildly enjoyable Snoop and Kurupt combo, everyone's pretty much benchwarming for Redman, whose "RED" irrevocably confirms his status as most valuable poet on the m.i.c. So, when's that next album dropping, Red? --Rebecca Levine

4 out of 5 stars Good Mixtape.......2004-11-11

DJ Clue hits you w/ Professional Part 2. Equally as good as the first one, equally annoying is Clue yelling over the songs. There are a good number of good songs on here, but a few that are skippable as well. Features about 35 rappers on it. The 2 best tracks on here are freestyles but it is still worth picking up if you into the mixtape thing.

#2 - 8 (Mary J. Blige f/ Jadakiss)
#3 - 10 (Jay-Z Classic Freestyle over "Who Shot Ya" beat)
#4 - 8.5 (DMX)
#5 - 7.5 (beanie Sigel & Freeway)
#6 - 9.5 (LOX, Nature, Cam'ron, Fabolous - great beat/hard song)
#7 - 6 (Busta Rhymes & Rah Digga)
#8 - 8.5 (raekwon f/ Ghostface Killah)
#9 - 8 (Eminem, Method Man, Royce da 5'9)
#11 - 9 (Snoop Dog & Kurupt)
#12 - 7.5 (Jay Z f/ Daz Dillinger, Kurupt, Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek)
#13 - 6 (Trick Daddy & trina)
#14 - 8 (Nas)
#15 - 5 (Foxy Brown)
#16 - 8 (lil Kim, Lil Cease, Larce Vegas Banger - cool beat)
#17 - 10 (bathgate kicks a classic freestyle)
#18 - 7 (Memphis Bleek & Geda K)
#19 - 8 (Capone & Noreaga)
#20 - 9.5 (Mobb Deep)
#21 - 7 (redman)

2 out of 5 stars it is sooooooooooo annoying.......2003-06-15

thr pros about this album s that there alot of tight rappers and beats the cons about this album is that clue calls himself a dj but he's a dumb phony who doesn't know when to shut his mouth all he does is yell out throughout the whole album saying stupid stuff and giving shoutouts while the rappers rap he nees o shut up an lets us hear the song if u want this album still, go copy it off the net cause the is not worth the money ohyeah he dosen't even scratch

5 out of 5 stars Great Party Album.......2003-04-17

This CD is great for partying. Don't look for great lyrics, but if you like hip-hop, especcially party music and some grimey music(on some tracks), get this CD. I love it, and the production is great.

Song By Song Analysis:
"Intro" - It's an intro, not much to say about it.
"Back 2 Life 2001" featuring Mary J. Blige and Jadakiss - great song, loved it, but Jadakiss was out of place here.
"Jay-Z Freestyle" - Good Jigga freestyle over Biggie's "Who Shot Ya" beat.

"Who's Next" featuring DMX - Average song, nothing special.
"Coming For You" featuring Beanie Sigel - Another average song.
"Starting Five" featuring The LOX, Cam'ron, Nature, and Fabulous - Great song, didn;t like it at first but it grew on me.
"Getting It" featuring Busta Rhymes and Rah Digga - Average.
"Cream 2001" featuring Ghostface Killah and Raekwon - Average, doesn't hold a candle to the brilliant original.
"What The Beat" featuring Royce Da 5'9", Eminem, and Method Man - Brilliant song, loved it, great lyrics too.
"Lil Mo Interlude" - Lil Mo singing acapella, she has a nice voice.
"F*** A B****" featuring Snoop Dogg and Kurupt - Great West Coast song, loved Kurupt's verse especcially.
"Change The Game (Remix)" featuring Jay-Z, Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek, Daz, Kurupt - Great West Coast meets East Coast feel, better than the original.
"My N***** Dem" featuring Trick Daddy and Trina - Great down South feel.
"Live From The Bridge" featuring Nas - Okay song, good at first, gets tiring with each listen.
"So Hot" featuring Foxy Brown - Good song, nice feel, liked it.
"Chinatown" featuring Lil Kim, Junior Mafia, and Lil Cease - Okay song, pretty good.
"Bathgate Freestyle" - Okay song.
"MARCY" featuring Memphis Bleek and Geda K - Okay song, pretty good.
"I Don't Care" featuring Capone N Noreaga - Great song, loved it, grimey feel.
"The Best Of Queens" featuring Mobb Deep - Great song, grimey feel loved it.
"RED" featuring Redman - Great bouncy feel to get the club jumping, loved it.
"Dangerous" featuring Muggs and Lady Luck - OK, average song.
"Phone Patch" featuring Ty Shaun - Good song but kind of forgettable.

Overall - Good mixtape CD, buy it if you like hip-hop but aren't too interested in lyrics.

2 out of 5 stars This is DJ Clue? Funny - he doesnt do much!.......2003-02-19

DJ clue - the name would suggest that he could DJ , however, this just aint true. If you're lookin for good DJ skills (mixin, scratchin etc.) - don't look here, try Jam Master Jay, DJ Babu, even DJ Lethal! However, if you look past the fact that the man has little DJing talent, and ignore his annoying voice for 30 seconds per song, the actual tracks are pretty tite. The Jay-z freestyle is brilliant, the Nas and Mobb Deep tracks are both amazing, and the rest are pretty good as well.

5 out of 5 stars WHOA!!.......2002-12-31

Once again, the one and only DJ Clue. Who doesnt scratch, cut or mix any tracks on any songs, has recreated the mixtape genre!! There are nothing but exclusives from label mates Jay-Z, Beanie Sigel, and others. If you like stand outish songs and exclusive remixes, this is for you. If you dont like it, this album is still for you. Clue has a talent search talent(he discovered Fabolous, Paul Cain. Established Desert Storm, and still goes platinum for Jay and Dame on Rocafella!) They have changed the game.
