Customer Reviews:
It's alright........2005-10-17
Aceyalone and Ab. Rude are two nice emcees, who try a little too hard to be "underground." They can flow but if you like this album you should buy it because it's about to be overshadowed by the A-Team out of Jersey; Hitchcock and Ransom. As far it goes, Who Framed the A-Team is hot, but if you want to hear some supreme lyracists who are about to blow...I'd say find the Hardhood Classics Mixtape, vol 1 or 2 - it kills this. Just my 2.
I Love It When A Plan Comes Together........2001-12-25
And this one came together quite nicely. With two of the better lyricists out of los angeles in the past 10 years, this CD is a solid pickup. The slow precise rhyme style of Abstract Rude complements Ayce's rapid fire word play beutifully in this debut callab. On "Slower Traffic To The Right", by far the standout track on the CD, we get the added treat of hearing Mikah 9 (also one of L.A.'s finest,) rip into the high energy beat. This album has an underground bootleg feel to it. With songs like the title track and A.B. Baracus, the tight music production may suffer a bit in your eyes if your looking for clear sounding tracks. I recommend that you not let it deter you. This is an overall very satisfying offering from well established artists that know how to deliever.
Nobody framed the A-Team, they are that damn good..........2000-08-05
A-Team is FRESH. The beats are very original, and the lyrics can't be faded. This unbelievable team of legendary underground mc's can't be dealt with as they will easily take a mic and rip it from the get-go. "Who Framed the A-Team?" is a very good album and even though it hasn't gotten any exposure, maybe it's good because the people who listen to commercial probably wouldn't appreciate "real hip-hop" anyway. Maybe they just don't deserve to hear good music.
ace comes through again.......2000-06-28
aceyalone and ab.rude on the same disk, flowing together? what do y'all expect but the very best. the beats are tight. the rhymes are no joke. picking this one up while i was visiting a friend in berkeley was lucky and they were 12 of the best bones i've spent all year.
A-Team deserves an A..........2000-06-20
The Alpha Team have finally released their long awaited first compilation together (which took years to be re-issued onto CD, originally pressed on vinyl but pulled from underground vendors due to distribution problems). This is one awesome album and if you listen to mainstream hip-hop only, give this a shot because this is what commercial hip-hop tries to be and will never be. Aceyalone and Abstract Rude are truly some of underground hip-hop's best and are never given the respect they so rightfully deserve.
