Customer Reviews:
Unmissable BASS classic!.......1998-11-07
I just had to review this, given that no one has taken the bait... "You remember the saying - more bounce to the ounce!" MIAMI BASS WARS II is one of THE best cruin' around town bass cd's you could hope to own. Only the stunning TECHMASTER P.E.B. Bass Computer offers such consistant song quality (having only one stinker "3. Shady") That said, MBW is primarily instrumental with vocals, samples and some rap served over heaps of warm, juicy bass tones. The political and cultural overtones make for an interesting and refreshing change of pace from the typical "How low can you go?" gaggle of would be competitors. MBW calls for a fairly modest investment in equipment. Having heard this cd on a number of car stereos, MBW sounds best when the bass is powered to a pair of 12" woofers. Bandpass and 10 inch speakers don't seem to reproduce the music as solidly. Factory car stereos and speakers need not apply as they cannot handle the demand. Any serious Bass buff should own this classic cd!"Up and down Killeen for a couple of hours - took a wrong turn ended up at Fort Hood towers - my BASS was loud - I drew a crowd - MP's were coming down - handcuffs and me aint never been friends - headed back to Killeen so I could BASS again!

Worth EVERY penny!!! A MUST BUY!!!!.......2002-08-06
This is THE original bass classic! Including great scratch mixes and tons of samples like Bugs Bunny, Popeye, Elmer Fudd, Cheech & Chong, Star Wars, and SO many others you may not be able to count `em all. You can even learn where Rob Base [got] his background music for "It Takes 2 To Make A Thing Go Right". My buddies and I used to cruise around on weekends back in 1989 & 1990 listening and singing to this album, and you know what, just last week(...), we went to the shore and STILL remembered EVERY word! You'll spend hours, if not days, listening to this trying to pick out the samples and funny lines and figure where or who they came from. And, it's also family-friendly stuff that you won't be ashamed to let your kids hear, because there's NO SWEARING. All in all a GREAT album to own, even if you hate rap, you'll probably find it REALLY funny!
