As fans of Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy know, each film exists in two versions: the theatrical one and the extended one that appeared on DVD. Beautiful.......2007-06-15

I picked up this set because I am both a LOTR fan, movies and books and I need music to help me work. There are some tracks that I skipped over, like the short little ditties in the bar, but many of the songs, such as the Elvish chants are easy to get lost in - its just too bad they don't last longer. The packaging really is well done, though the DVD disc was loose when I received it in the mail, but unharmed. I will have to wait until the price on the second set comes down a little more, but I can't wait for ROTK.

This is by far the editon to get if you loved the lord of the rings soundtrack. It has every song on it from the extended edition. and the DVD-A version is very nice.

This CD collection is wonderful; it has much of the material from the movie that was only included in the extended edition DVD, but it is far from complete. While it does have the complete version of "The Passing of the Elves" and two versions of "The Road Goes Ever On", many of the songs are highly incomplete and inferior to the originals. "Aniron," the theme for Aragorn and Arwen performed by Enya, is incomplete and the lyrics are hard to match to what is being sung. The sound quality for this song is even worse on the accompanying DVD, which is supposed to have all of the music in "superior sound". The song "Prophecy" is reduced to two barely-audible lines and "May It Be" is shortened and different than the original. $60 for this when there are more complete songs on the original soundtrack is ridiculous.

Great Collection, Poor Packaging.......2007-04-03

I realy can't add to what others have said about this set, the music is simply the best LOTR soundtrack collection out there! It is all here, and the contents of this set will make any LOTR fan happy and the music DVD is a great one disc addition if you want to hear the entire score in one sitting (to which I have done a number of times already).
My only complaint is the somewhat flimsy cardboard box that houses the contents of this musical treasure. Mine came damaged, and considering the price, I expected better packaging. This is a minor quabble on my part and NO, I havent returned it due to the fact that the music itself Is what I truly treasure, It just would have been nicer to have recieved it undamaged.

Washington, D.C.'s Thievery Corporation purvey a very mellow, deliberately international mixture of sounds that might be called "lounge music"--not in the kitschy sense, but in the sense of a laid-back local bar (much like the one the duo happens to run) with no dance floor. Rob Garza and Eric Hilton are professed admirers of Brazilian music, and they're determined to inject as much warmth into electronic music as possible. The Mirror Conspiracy is quite a musical travelogue, starting in Jamaica with "Treasures." This dubby opening track, which features vocalist Brother Jack, is quite reminiscent of the start of Swayzak's Himawari. Next up is "Le Monde," a quiet, wah-wah-inflected song featuring a chanteuse named Lou Lou. She reappears later on the somewhat more uptempo "Shadows of Ourselves," which, despite the title, is also sung in French. "The Hong Kong Triad" sounds like a tip of the hat to Shaft-styled soundtrack music. Elsewhere, it's off to India for two sitar-flavored tracks with a similarly laidback groove that gets a bit closer to techno, one of which, "Lebanese Blonde" (hash? a woman?), has been released as a single. Brazil gets its due on the densely percussive "Air Batucada," the more bossa nova-like "So Com Voce," and an instrumental titled "Samba Tranquille." I typically respect peoples' opinions regarding reviews. However, I have to take exception to the "alla fishkop no.1" review. The review talks about the lack of originality and the "same as 90% of the chill out around". I notice you don't share any thoughts about other Thievery albums you own in comparison to this one...Oh I know, you probably don't own any other albums by them...that's why!!! This is a definitive album for a genre that is filled with wannabees that try to cash in on few talented people in the business. The reason why it "sounds like a lot of other chill albums out there", is because this album has been around since 2000 and has been a benchmark for all other artists since then trying to capture the essence of this sound. Thievery has been spinning quality tracks since the late 90's and will continue to dominate this genre for a long time. I see that you're from NY....chances are, you probably think Louie Devito spinning at the Sound Factory is the sh**!!. Don't give reveiews on music you don't know poseur!!

Stealing Time For Reflection.......2007-04-12

If you come to Thievery Corporation expecting anything other than downbeat dubs and unruffled rhythms, expect to be disappointed. This D.C.-based duo of Garza and Hilton are experts at sampling sounds from all over the world (primarily India, Brazil, France, and Jamaica) and building out of them a lounge ambience that is deep and drool-worthy.

You could say that the songs are derivative, evidence of artistic talent used to trace old drawings, but in an age of sampling, loops, remixes and homages, "derivative" seems like less and less of an insult (these guys, anyway, revel in it, if you haven't noticed the name of their group). These songs are, everyone one of them, brilliant in a warm, enveloping, devilish way, music for secrets. These are the songs to which hair is tucked behind ears, candles flicker on dull veneers, hands -- under tables -- are placed gently on foreign knees. Its the kind of album that makes you believe anyone, listening to it, could be a good dancer if they just let the notes take over.

The Mirror Conspiracy brings to the sometimes harsh light of electronica a honey-hot glow. The boys in Thievery Corporation aren't trying to pull off any acrobatic stunts or massive implosions of sound, but they do execute some dizzying and hypnotic sleight-of-hand. It's a dreamwave of an album, a great score for seduction, and the tender taunt of temptation. Give Thievery Corporation a chance, and they may just steal your soul.

Suprisingly dissapointed..........2007-04-12

I've purchased this CD based on huge popularity of previous albums on radio,good reviews on Amazon, plus this album always comes up as one of the bestsellers in Chill/Jazz/Electronica genre sections, of which I'm a big fan. Well, I was highly dissapointed after listening for 10-15 minutes, and could barely go through the end. They are not bad, it's good music, but nothing special. The sound and beats are too familiar from 90% of other Chill bands. I did not sense any originality,direction, and movement in any piece. Every piece flows and finishes the same way it starts. Wallpaper,wallpaper, wallpaper. The bottom line is that I've heard this million times before. Even vocals don't help this album. I wouldn't spin this album even if I owned a lounge.

Still my favorite.......2007-04-05

If you bought this album because "Lebanese Blonde" from the "Garden State" soundtrack is on it, congradulations! I first picked this up in 2000, and was blown away! I have bought all thier albums since. This is an excellent album by Thievery Corporation. "The Mirror Conspiracy" still has a special place in my musical collection. This is, to me an album in a classic sense. Meant to be listened to from beginning to end. Incorporating elements of Dub, Reggae, Indian, Bossa Nova makes for an eclectic listening experience. You should put this on for your next coctail party.

Superb chill-out music.......2007-03-16

This album is an essential part of my music library. It is a collection of some of the finest, most tasteful down-tempo music out there to date. Definitely a must-have.

Fellow Californian Mike Love of the Beach Boys is sampled to introduce this latest Offspring release and immediately it's down to business as usual. Which for the Offspring means the best-produced punk rock money can buy. Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam) turns the knobs in the producer's chair and he works pure sonic architecture. The guitars crunch with perfectly defined distortion, the drums come down the middle, and--most importantly--singer Dexter Holland is juiced to the max. Though his voice sits in the "whine" range, double tracking and other studio enhancements give the vocals an incredible presence beyond standard range, and Holland works them to convincing effect. "Come Out Swinging" does exactly that. "Want You Bad" recalls the southern California punk pop of the Descendents. "One Fine Day" double-times into both hardcore and a galloping country terrain. Essentially, it's full speed ahead with the pedal to the metal and no airbags in sight. --Rob O'Connor

WOW! this record BLEW me away! this is MY favorite offspring record yet. this record went BEYOND my taste of music. Just like the rest of their albums, the offspring writes songs about everyday life.

1. Intro - Kinda pointless, but this band loves to do INTROs at the beginning of all their albums. 5/10

2- Come Out Swinging- This song means alot to me. the singing is great, and Dexter did a nice job with the vocals in this one. there isnt a part in this song that isnt good. This song has a good message to it that everyone should hear. 10/10

3-Original Prankster- let me tell ya, this song had alot of "action" if you will. Kinda hard to explain, but its a great song. It made me happy to see them trying somthing different with their music equipment. they put alot of effort into it and the beat is great, vocals are great. 10/10

4- Want You Bad- a few people i know that eathier dont know or dont like the offspring, they like this song. Another PERFECT song. this was one of their greatest hits. The vocals were really catchy too. "Complicated, X rated" "i want you, all tattoed" i love it. 10/10

5- Million Miles Away- When i first got this record, i didnt really listen to this song, and now that i do, it is one of my favorite other then Conspiracy Of One. I really like how they have 2 singers singing 2 different things in one time like at the end. If you listen to this song you would know what im talking about. When Dexter says "i cant take, i cant take" and Noodles and Greg are saying "looking through myself wanting to pretend" at the same time. Its another great song 10/10

6- Dammit, I changed again- This song, including "all along" "conspiracy Of One" "Come Out Swinging" all sound the same. but if you really listen to this song, you would see that this song has a meaning to it like all other songs i just mentioned. What im trying to say is that this song is "just another song" 8/10

7- Living In Chaos- im my opinion, this song is ok. not too bad, others might love it, but this song really doesnt appeal to me like most of the other do. Although i must admit this song had a good toon to it. 8/10

8- Special Delivery- well, ya know what they say. Every album has a song on it that isnt good. When i First heard this song, i thought it was another perfect song. Untill the point where it says "OGGA SACCA" 20 times, that totally ruined the entire song. but the vocals and lyrics are awsome other then that. 3/10

9-One Fine Day- This song remindes me of Green Day and blink 182 where the vocals are hard to understand in the chorus where dexter talked really fast. this is a VERY addicting song after you listen to it once or twice. 11/10

10- All Along- Kind of a short song, but it has a meaning to it. the vocals cant be better. " ALL ALONG, think i really knew, it was standing with the words unspoken" It sounds ALOT like Conspiracy Of One, but it still is a good song. 6/10

11-Denal, Revised- i never really liked this song. but i did listen to it once and found this song to be dull and boring. i dunno i guess this song really didnt catch my attention. The only advice i have is dont listen to this song if you are a hardcore rock fan like me. 0/10

12- Vultures- The SAME EXACT Thing as "denal, revised" .... dull and boring. if you are a hardcore rock fan dont listen to this song. 0/10

13- Conspiracy Of One- My favirote song on this album. "nobody wins, nobody hears us fall, nobody wins when its done, conspiracy of one" is a catchy phrase. this song is the main title of this album. 15/10

i listened to a few songs by them once and then i felt nothing rise in my music taste. so i put it aside and listened to smash. after that, i decided i wanted to hear want you bad again. it finished and then million miles away started and i loved it. then dammit, i changed again came, and i loved it as well. and i was blown away by one fine day because it was really good and reminded me of Green Day, which i love as well. vultures brought back the awesome tune of dirty magic. i love every single song on it except maybe come out swinging, it just doesn't appeal to me so much. the artwork in the lyric book is cool, also. buy this!!!!!!!

not exactly their best, but still good........2007-02-20

very short album, about 38 minutes. it's a little more pop than i expected, but it's mostly punk. the best song on it is either original prankster or want you bad or one fine day. by this after you get smash and ixnay on the hombre and americana and ignition and their self titled one. get splinter at about the same time you get this.

Another Good Release!.......2006-09-02

Conspiracy of One is very similar in sound as well as rating to Americana. Both have great songs mixed in with some okay ones. Still no release yet has been as good as Smash even though each album released so far still satisfies. The album is just another good release by the band. My favorite tracks are "Living In Chaos", "Special Delivery", "Denial, Revisited", and "Vultures". Those are my favorites even though there are still really good other tracks on the album.

I don't know what it is about the band but they just seem to keep releasing good albums. Maybe the newer ones aren't as ground-breaking as Smash but they are pretty good either way. If you like the singles from this release or other Offspring works you should probably check this one out.

My first Offspring CD........but definitely not my last.......2006-08-10

I've wanted to check The Offspring out for quite some time and finally got a chance to. After listening to the CD for the first time I thought it was pretty decent, I also like Green Day and thought that Conspirancy of One even sounded a little better than Green Day. After about my 5th listen to the CD i realized how genius it was. Track #8 "Special Delivery" is my favorite, it's one of those songs that just pump you up.

I can't wait to get another Offspring CD and keep listening to their music. If you're into a Punkish sound between Foo Fighters and Green Day you'll want to listen to this. Now go get it.

If only for their cover of "Lovesong". The way she sings it sends shivers throughout my body (not that the original doesn't, I just happen to like this one too). Like most, I love "Breed" and "Vulcan". I do not however perticularly care for their cover of "How Soon Is Now?". And I'm not much for the 1 or 2 other songs that sound uber pop either. These days most will by a cd for 1 song they really like, well I'm here to tell you this cd will have at least a few songs that will make you crave listening to them repeatedly, so it's worth the cash in my book:)

Nobody loves you more than they ought to.......2006-04-23

While not particularly original in a few parts on this CD, Snake River Conspiracy still manage to pull of an entertaining listen. I'd be lying if I told you that this is all Snake River Conspiracy because its so easy to see influences from other bands who are completely sure of their music (NIN and Collide are probably the major influences).

Comparisons aside, Sonic Jihad is an engaging CD from start to finish. Tobey is a great vocalist with a seemingly good voice (rarely does she go all out and sing), and has just enough attitude to keep things fresh. At times the music is nothing short of cartoonish, other times there are real signs of greatness. For me, I like this CD's more industrial moments than the others because on songs like those is when you see real potential in Tobey's voice. Aside from the absolutely wretched Somebody Hates You, this CD feels complete, like nothing was left out.

The covers included seem to get a lot of attention, and rightfully so, they make for some of the more standout songs included. SRC's take on The Cure's Lovesong was a nice freshening up of an already great song, and with the female vocals it almost feels like she gave the song a different perspective. How Soon Is Now? is the other cover and is probably one of my favorite songs featured. Jason did a great job on the music keeping it interesting throughout.

My favorite songs are You And Your Friends, Lovesong, Act Your Age, Oh Well, and How Soon Is Now?. Sonic Jihad did take me a few listens to really start to grasp what was going on, that could just be me though. The lyrics are straight-forward and brutally honest which is missing from music these days, and the music makes for a great backdrop. So basically, fans of NIN and Collide should probably find more than a few things to like about this CD, and hopefully we'll be hearing more from SRC in the future.

Got into this band by the song Breed, and was amazed that I love the whole album. The lead singer chick is awesome. Love the covers they do. This cd is great for blasting in your car so others next to you hear this incredible band, and her screaming vocals is also a great cd to listen to if you have fight with your boyfriend to get some aggresion out by singing with her. Can't wait till they make another album.

Pure Psychedelia.......2006-07-14

This is Boris' most psychedelic release. It is also one of their magnum opus albums. By now, you may or may not know that Boris is a chameleon of rock and metal. And I mean that in the most honorable way. The way Led Zeppelin could play blissed out blues and then rock a punk riff, and then melt minds with rock straight from the factory floor yet still remain Led Zep, so is Boris an ever changing, musically adept trio, that scorches through whatever they wish to at the time and leaves their mark on it. Like Zorro, they are the swashbuckling heroes of rock and roll, but they wield guitars and drums instead of a skinny little sword.

So by calling Feedbacker one of their magnum opus albums, I mean to bring light to the fact that they have a few albums that play out as one long hour long song. They have albums that are more track by track oriented, such as their latest album Pink, but albums like Absolutego, Flood, Amplifier Worship, and this album Feedbacker, are musical mission statements...

I can spare youthe details if every album and tell you that A) they are all different from each other, and B) you should look them up and read the reviews that people wrote, and finally C) they are all amazing in their own way.

Feedbacker though is easily the most psychedelic of these albums. It is a 5 part ride through some of the most overwhelming feedback swells and also some of the most drugged out space rock on this, the darkest side of the moon. Yes the Floyd reference is there for a reason. This is a wonderful complete album bookended with feedback and filled with soaring gorgeous songs with a weight that belies this worlds own gravity. Melodies are buried deep in the fabric of sound that Boris has created and it takes some patience and a good sound system (or headphones) to appreciate how deep and moving this piece can be. In terms of tone, the guitars sound old, and the heaviness never reaches the peaks of Amplifier Worship or Absolutego, but it is still heavy. Heavy in terms of depth and height. They plumb the lowest of all bass depths as they always do and juxtapose the rumble with screeching feedback, all amps running far into the red threatening total destruction of your ears. Walls of sound wrap suffocatingly around you until you feel you cant breath until you are released into a bubbling ether of acid hazed psychedlic guitar solos and warbly fuzzy drones.

The album is extremely ambitious and it fulfills its purpose laid out in the title "Feedbacker". It has a third eye opening quality to it that would make Tool jealous and Sunn 0))) proud. If you dig this, then you must go and check out their other stuff, because as well as their magnum opuses, they have a few albums based more on a rock and roll, sabbath/ motorhead style, as well as some incredibly dense sound experiments and a slew of collaborations and vinyl only releases that will keep you interested for years....enjoy.

Quite Arguably King Diamond's Best Record........2006-07-12

King Diamond may not get the kudos that Metallica, Megadeth, or Slayer often get. But if you compare King Diamond's "Conspiracy" to Metallica's best ("Ride the Lightening"), Megadeth's best ("Rust In Peace"), or what I consider Slayer's best (be it "Hell Awaits" or "Seasons In the Abyss"), it is clear that King Diamond is the better musician. (1) While Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer have their abilities, they often tend to hide behind the noise. If King Diamond played the songs on "Conspiracy" on a classical guitar and a piano, THE SONGS WOULD STILL SOUND GOOD. He uses speed and intensity, but he's not hiding behind it. He DOES HAVE impressive knowledge of musical composition. (2) Unlike Metallica, Slayer, or Megadeth, King Diamond DOES KNOW that a keyboard is a crucial element. Even Bon Jovi (whose records people normally buy for the vocals moreso than the music) knows that a keyboard is crucial! Onto the subject at hand. For those of you who don't know this, "Conspiracy" follows the events of "Them" and raises the horror to a frightening level (even for King Diamond's records). With the frightening and intense 'At the Graves,' King meets his sister (who was killed in "Them") and makes plans for her to visit more often. 'Sleepless Nights' turns the music down a notch, but the lyrics are so frightening, and the quiter tone emphasizes that. 'Lies' reintroduces us to Dr. Landau from "Them," and the guitar work is almost hypnotic. 'Visit From the Dead' shows that guitarist Andy LaRoque has classical abilities as Missy makes another appearance and warns King of the danger to come. 'The Wedding Dream' begins with a creepy keyboard movement. We've all heard wedding marches, but this one seems to sound more frightening than sacramental. King learns that his mother and the doctor are planning to marry. 'Amon Belongs To Them' has a slower but still haunting tone as King's fate begins. 'Something Weird' is a well done and creepy instrumental. In 'Victimized,' King's enemies decide his fate, and the musical levels as well as King's famous vocals resume a full blast level. 'Let It Be Done' is creepy dialogue with some subtle and eerie keyboard touches. 'Cremation' is the final track on this horror filled masterpiece and King seems to know that in this case, what he doesn't say is more frightening than what he might say. And just when you think the record is over, King speaks once more to make sure he leaves us in a state of horror. While we might argue that "Abigail II" was not crucial to "Abigail," it is virtually indisputable that "Conspiracy" was a vital sequel to "Them." I'll conclude by saying that if you are not familiar with King Diamond's records, you may do best in the case of "Conspiracy" to read the lyrics in daylight before you listen to the record.

Love this album, it completes the story started in the album Them. The music is tough, hard, and it gets you pumped. Some parts of the story are kinda sad and if you follow the story you're in for an emotional ride ending up with a big smile.

King Diamond is one of the greatest voices in metal/rock and one of the most original, unlike your self Mr Simmons. The fact that the King has chosen to be an underground artist his whole career and never once tried to sell out or become commercial only proves he is the real deal and does not care about trends or being famous or relevent, i really think King could care less about such foolish concepts, unlike a certain band called KISS, that has made countless attempts to stay popular and r a p e it's fans out of money with such banal attempts like going disco and becoming a crap Bon Jovi rip off in the 80's.

King cares about his fan base, KISS and Gene $immon$ only see their fans as a source of cash. King diamond puts out new albums, KISS simply gives their fans countless reissues and expensive box sets full of material they already have in an order to get even more rich.

I don't see why you hate King Mr $immon$, is it because he wears make up? well what about Alice Cooper? what about the countless number of norwegian and scandinavian black metal artists who also don corpes paint! i don't see you trying to sue them!

Third Day's first major label album!.......2007-03-13

Conspiracy No. 5 is the first and only album recorded under their Reunion Records label. Although they had previously released their self-titled debut under this label, Reunion had merely taken and slightly remastered the tracks from their debut on the independent label from Gray Dot Records. The name Conspiracy no. 5 is derived, according to lead guitarist Mark Lee, from the fact that there were five members in the band, it was their fifth studio project, and in one particular dictionary, Mark found the fifth definition of Conspiracy to be "two or more people working together for a common cause." This definately explains Third Day's ultimate mission as a Christian band.

But the reason I write the history of this album is that people will see that this is the true "debut" from Third Day, and from the reviews from the Hootie-and-the-Blowfish-esque debut, Third Day wanted to prove that they could rock and be Christian at the same time. Enter Conspiracy No. 5. The first look at the gritty, blood-red target album art should pretty much sum up what's on the album. The album begins with a rousing intro in "Peace" and devolves into Brad Avery's signature mysterious guitar solo in the bridge. "You Make Me Mad" takes the sound a step further with simultaneously thankful and angry lyrics put to the most aggressive sound Third Day has ever produced. "How's Your Head" slows down slightly with a southern rock sound that Lynyrd Skynyrd would be proud of themselves. But "Alien" breaks out even more wah pedals and distortion boxes, while "I Deserve?" slows down and throws string instruments into the fray. "Have Mercy" sounds like a reconciliation between punk and southern rock and is arguably Third Day's fastest song ever released. "My Hope Is You" is more praise-oriented, and has become a crowd favorite at concerts, and "More to This" sounds like Freebird mixed with Bluesy Revolution from Hootie and the Blowfish. "This Song Was Meant for You" starts out like a standard pop song but ends as gritty as the rest. "Who I Am" is a rousing rocker which somewhat dictates their future sound on later albums. "Give Me a Reason" doesn't slow down a second and keeps the action alive with some of the coolest riffs Third Day has ever used. "Gomer's Theme" slows down but doesn't hold back, and has become the basis upon which Third Day's thriving fan community has named themselves - Gomertopia. Finally, "Your Love Endures" is a much-appreciated throwback to the first album's most requested song ever, "Love Song." The secret track is merely a jam session from the guys when they started writing "Who I Am," which is worth a listen for grunge fans everywhere.

This album is worth a listen by any die-hard Third Day fan, and is worth buying for anyone who likes such Christian classics as D.C. Talks "Jesus Freak," Audio Adrenalines "Bloom," And pretty much anything by Jars of Clay. It's rough, it's rock, and it's sure you to keep your body a few notches above the speed limit whenever you pop this one in. Without this CD, no matter how it sells, Third Day would never have been the same. It's spiritually rewarding, and with the exception of "You Make Me Mad," which is somewhat confusing, is challenging and full of Scriptural truth. Pick this one up right now!

About a year ago I bought this album along with the debut and time.This was the first disk I put in my player and I only found a few good songs.The grunge and hard-rock thing going on gets annoying after a while.(But we all have our own opinions.)I recommend debut,time,come together,or the offerings.But,if you do buy this, listen to the clips.

Great sophmore album.......2005-02-14

Third Day stays away from the dreaded sophmore slump in this disc. It wasn't as commercially sucessful as their debut album I feel mainly because they've changed their music style. Their debut album was more southern rock while this disc has a more grung-ish feel. You make me mad is a great rock tune that is sure to impress. As usual the lyrics are great making overall appeal of the album top notch. For those who are familiar with Third Day's southern rock style this may take you a listen or two to get used to the sound but I think you'll like it.

Strong sophomore album. .......2004-07-21

In 1997, Third Day followed up their self-titled debut with "Conspiracy No.5." "Conspiracy," produced by Sam Taylor (the man who discovered, managed & produced King's X and Galactic Cowboys),maintains some of the band's Southern Rock sound they had become known for ("Have Mercy"), but also ventures into other musical territories like grunge and alt-rock. Some have criticized 3D for trying to sound like Pearl Jam on this album, but I for one applaud them for trying to do something different. My overall favorite song is "Gomer's Theme," taken from the Old Testament story of Gomer, the unfaithful wife of the prophet Hosea (Hosea 1-3) and the unconditional love shown by her husband. Other noteworthy tracks include "You Make Me Mad," "Alien," "Have Mercy," "My Hope is You" & "Your Love Endures." "Conspiracy No. 5" is a great album, and an important part of the history of one of Christian music's greatest bands.

Musically and Spiritually Correct!.......2004-02-29

My veins pump with a love for hard rock..the problem is that there are so very few bands that praise, while raising the roof with well written songs and great, full sound. This is one awesome album, through and through. There are just not enough Christian bands out there that really let it rip! There are many "scream-o" and "nu-metal" so called Christian bands, but nothing like Third Day. These guys are annointed, and play great music. I prefer this album over any of the other Third Day albums, because of its harder edge and generous use of distortion; yet there are a few slower praise songs that fit perfectly! You can't help but tap your foot to every song; it is GREAT driving music! It is so cool to be able to sing lyrics with praise to our Creator and Savior....more.....more!

A Great Value No Matter What Way You Look At It.........2005-12-17

I've just recently found the magic that is King Diamond, about 20 years after his solo career started. What I've found is the most unique and true-to-form artist around. I traveled down to the cd store hoping for at least Abigail, but I found much more. I found Them/Conspiracy two-pack, Abigail and Puppet Master and didn't hesitate for a second to purchase all of them at once. I would have payed 15 bucks seperate for each cd included in this set, but finding only this for 15 dollars, how could I say no?!
Taken as a whole, I only have a few complaints about the set, and they are pretty miniscule. My first complaint is that the booklet contains no lyrics, so that's a downside, since it is sometimes hard to understand what King is saying. The last complaint is that Conspiracy was not as good as I had thought, but it's still good, not as good as THEM though.

From the start, I had always figured that THEM would be my least favorite King album, but as soon as I listened to it, my mind changed drastically, this is King's absolute best album ever. Not only does it have a very creepy and unique story(not like that's news for King Diamond), but it's overall sound and presentation is unlike any of his other recordings. Though the sound production on THEM is rather weak,It's good, but not very clean like his preceding attempts. Every song here is strong and there is some beautiful musicianship throughout. The track "TEA" perfectly suits the title, with hypnotic flowing notes and soothing and mellow choruses by the King.

Conspiracy follows up to THEM, but it seems like less attention was placed on story than the previous part of the story. "AT THE GRAVES" seems to drag on for too long, and several of the tracks are rather forgettable. "Sleepless Nights", Victimized, A Visit from the Dead and Cremtation are the strongest point of the album, but the rest don't have the same magic as the afformentioned. But considering the fact that you can get two albums for the price of one is totally worth dishing out 15 bucks for.

Another double-up CD release of these classic King Diamond albums, "Them" & Conspiracy. Although, teaming these two CDs together is no-brainer, it's better you purchase these two releases seperately(if you haven't already got 'em) Most hard-core Diamond fans will undoubtedly have these in their collection. But I guess this product might appeal to fans that are being turned onto the King for the first time.

But in my opinion, these double-up CD releases are superfulous. It just seems like a feeble attempt from Roadrunner to cash in AGAIN on a artist they barely promoted in the first place...
