Good thing there are 15 songs on this CD because the otherwise excellent music is marred by three awful hip-hop/rap garbage. I guess Ray, Goodman and Brown are trying to show us that they are not over the hill. What they show us instead is how jarringly bad today's "music" is compared to yesterday's.

Still Kicking...........2003-07-05

I have been a fan of Ray, Goodman & Brown since the days of The Moments. Didn't know that this album had been releasesd until driving home one night listening to Vaughn Harper on 107.5 when he played "Girl I Want To Be The One" and I had to pull over to listen. Thought it was an older unreleased song but found out it was new. Never thought there would be any singer to touch Harry Ray but Al and Billy found the one. If you don't buy the album for any other reason than this song and "Stay" it would still be worth the price.

WOW!!.......2003-03-21

I waited a long time for this disk. I didn't know what to expect but my goodness, sensational. The Ray, Goodman and Brown harmony is there in full force. This is an exceptional piece of work and well worth the investment. I give this cd 6 stars!! A must have!

This cd is awsome. It's one of the most well arranged, tastefully composed, collection of music ever. There is music for everyone included on this cd. You can't go wrong with it's purchase.

What a voice.......2003-09-05

I first heard Susan Marshall when she was a backup singer for the Afghan Whigs (the best, most underrated American rock band of the 1990's); she toured with them in 1998, and her rendition of the Whigs' song "My Curse" was to me the highlight of the show. This is (I think) her first solo record, and in general it's great. You can tell she's worked with a lot of different people and bands in the past, as the songs range from piano-and-vocal Rodney Crowell covers to deep, dark hard rock grooves. The songwriting is uneven, and some of the songs are a little too middle-of-the-road blues rock for my taste, but all that's a bit beside the point. The reason to buy this album is the Voice. Marshall has a huge, clear, gorgeous voice, an instrument that she can work wonders with. She can do the growly blues mama, the operatic soprano, the sexy coo, whatever you want. And you can feel that she feels it too, which is the element lacking in so many of today's plasticized multi-octave divas.
I hope Susan Marshall gets a record deal, I hope she either works on her songwriting or gets Greg Dulli and other songsmiths to help her more, and I hope she someday records a studio version of "My Curse," because she has too much talent to not be heard by more people.

Maybe not, but in the world of brilliant music this cd makes the grade. It is so shiny and round, and the picture on the cover is such fine art. In the cd, though, is the music and it is even better than the cd case...which is made from such fine plastic! The music is fun and happy. Its also sad and mean. Sometimes it can be nice though. I love it. I would buy it if I could. I cant though since I'm very poor. Will you please buy this for me?! I need it, I am so deprived. Im addicted to this band. But I've still heard it. It is very cool. It is good stuff, this music. Music is fun, and this cd is music! (PS_While you're at it will you please buy some of my cds? My record sales are down which is why I am so poor! Thank you!)

This is like the greatest cd. It fits every mood and is relaxing yet exciting! I would buy it even if it cost over $1000! That is just how much I love it. Take my word, this is the greatest thing ever created since sliced bread! Do you like pop? Of course not, so you'll love this! Do you like rock, rap, or gangsta? Well, this cd has a little of everything! (If you don't like rock, rap, or gangsta, but you love pop then it has that, too!) Oh ya! It's also got some techno!That is just how great the cd is. FAB-U-LOUS! Manfred (the guy who created the cd...band) is so hot, too! The bassist rocks as well (and is a happenin daddy...literally!)
