Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Gypsy music from bygone era.......2000-07-21

This is a wonderful CD. Georges Boulanger plays with gutsy, juicy tone and elegance. The selections bring back the old, nostalgic days of 1920s and 30s. This kind of heart-on-sleeve playing may not be everyone's taste these days, but vitality and charm of these recordings are undeniable. The sound quality is slightly below average compared to the standard of the day (1920s to early 40s), but should be acceptable for people who hase listened to many historical recordings.
