Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Good, but the radio program is much better........1999-10-05

I've been a loyal listener to NPR's Sunday Baroque for almost a year now. I love Baroque music and this CD has all my favorites. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that the lovely Susan Bona (host of the radio show Sunday Baroque) is not on this disc anywhere! She makes the program what it is!

5 out of 5 stars Intimate Classics which delight the senses!.......1999-08-27

I have been a fan of baroque music ever since my Melvin and I fell in love with it one glorious Sunday afternoon. That was many years ago and we shared many an intimate moment together in our later years listening to these fine classics. I suggest this CD to all persons interested in enjoying the pleasures of anothers company. While this CD is good when alone, it is much more stimulating when shared with someone you are close to.

The selections on this CD obviously were meticulously made and as such flow nicely. The aura of this music is lasting and the productions are guaranteed to not disappoint. It is one of the finest compilations I have come across.

If you have a significant other who you would like to please, I recommend you give this CD as a present and then pleasure each other by listening to it together. My Melvin passed on, but my new friend Oswald gave me this CD for my seventy first birthday.

A real hit!

5 out of 5 stars Marvelous anthology !.......1999-06-27

This CD includes works by the major composers of the Baroque era, all beautifully performed here with great digital sound. "Sunday Baroque" is brought to us by the producers of the radio program of the same name and is produced to NPR's high standards. If you're looking for a good Baroque sampler, you'll be delighted with this disc!!
