Editorial Reviews She is very active both as a solo and an orchestral player; having recently played principal harp in the Denver Symphony, the Boulder Chautauqua Festival Orchestra, the Greeley Philharmonic, the Fort Collins Symphony, and the Denver Ballet Company. Dr. Moore received Bachelors and Master's degrees in Music Theory and Harp from the Eastman School of Music, and her Ph.D. from Michigan State University. For the past 18 years she has been a professor at University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, where she teaches both music theory and harp. Prior to settling in the Colorado area, Kathy played harp in orchestras across the U.S. She played principal harp with the Kansas City Philharmonic, the Syracuse Symphony, the Binghamton Tri-Cities Opera Company, the Utica Symphony, the Ithaca College Orchestra, the SUNY Binghamton Orchestra, and second harp with the Rochester Philharmonic. She has performed at Alice Tully Hall - Lincoln Center and Town Hall, New York City; and at Boettcher Concert Hall in Denver. Also she was solo and principal harp with the Colorado Philharmonic (now the National Repertory Orchestra) for two summers. Additionally, for three summers she was principal harp in orchestras at the Tanglewood Music Festival in Lenox, Massachusetts. Kathy Bundock Moore's connections with Jackson Berkey began in 1994 when she appeared as harpist in the premiere of his choral setting of "Il est ne," with his lady, Almeda, as guest conductor. A long-time devoted fan of Mannheim Steamroller, Moore struck up a conversation with Jackson, and by the end of three days of rehearsals and concerts, a friendship and a collaboration were born. The result is the recorded Jackson Berkey Harp Book, which includes the suite "Nature of the World" and the "Four Lullabies for Harp." These two sets - edited, adapted, and recorded by Ms. Moore under the composer's supervision - encompass musical styles ranging from well known Holiday Carols to classical minimalism and rock.
