This is one of the finest male choir recordings you'll ever hear. It has passion and lyricism, powerful gestures and delicate nuance. And those Russian basses! Perhaps most impressive is the sensitive phrasing and dynamics, the artful ensemble work, and the usually perfect balance between the lowest basses and the highest tenors.
