A wonderful discovery!.......2001-11-16

OK. First the disclaimer. The only instrument I play is the CD player. So you can take my capsule review with the proverbial grain of salt. I confess I bought this CD because the composer's Polish and the Van Gogh cover just struck the right chord that day. Much to my delight, the compositions here are engaging and the performances -- I never heard of any of these people -- are quite good. The pieces range from fast to slow but never hurried and never boring. I rather picture picture Sherlock Holmes as playing some of these works.

No frisbeee here. This is a keeper. Enjoy.
