Alicia de Larrocha has recorded most (if not all) of Mozart's Piano sonatas as brilliant, technical renditions. Although her playing may be sound cold to some, her style seems to me light and playful (the way one would imagine Mozart himself played). This last Volume doesn't rank 5 stars only because the pieces themselves aren't Mozart's strongest. The Andante of K.533 is somewhat uninspired and K.576 seems derivative of his earlier works but all in all the pieces are solid. Her playing is excellent as always and I would recommend this disc, but only to those who have already bought the first volume.

I saw and heard Alicia De Larrocha for the first time on the Time Warner Cable TV Video around New Years Eve on Classical Arts or CUNY Arts late night station and No one including ALL the record stores could find this particular Opus that she performed on this video. I desparately recommend this 20 minute or so Opus to you all of whom love ROMANTIC, exciting music. There was an orchestra; as well but I did not get any info except the Opus # and it was BRAHMS. Thanks so much from my heart for any help you can give me. Barbara
