Customer Reviews:
Top Notch Musicians.......2007-04-10
If your looking for a album full of Beatles music from George Harrison then this is NOT the album you want, but, if your looking for top notch Indian music from a soundtrack of a film most people have never seen, then you came to the right record. The album shows off the music of India really which is amazing in many ways. So if your into music from India as well as a Beatle thrown in, this is the ticket. Search "Judemac Forever" on msn.
My Initiation Into World Music.......2007-02-09
I got a little taste of what music from India might sound like with the inclusion of "Within You Without You" on "Sgt. Pepper's". I got an even better impression of it from this incredibly diverse and unique soundtrack from Mr. Harrison. There's some pop-py material, some old-fashioned dancehall stuff, some western-styled tunes and a lot of Indian music to be discovered on this disc. It's all instrumental and it's very interesting, moving and melodic. I listen to it at least a few times every year since I first bought it on vinyl when I was an impressionable eleven-year old. It has had a huge influence on me as a musician and songwriter all these years. George was light years ahead of his time- "Wonderwall Music" is that amazing. I'm in awe of how fresh this material still sounds. Don't deny yourself this bliss. Check It Out!
George not at his best .......2007-01-18
The only interesting music is (2) of the Indian tracks. The rest is poor movie sound tract filler.
Do I Enjoy This, or . . . . ?.......2006-07-10
I think that this album is growing on me. It has no pop hooks, and tracks like "Crying" seem to go on and on until . . . wow! Maybe that did sound good!
Another reviewer mentioned its similarity to Magical Mystery Tour. Indeed, one only needs to listen to Wonderwall to understand the very monumental influence that George Harrison had on creating the "Beatles Sound." It wasn't all John and Paul. Wonderwall makes you realize that it was durn close to a three-way tie. (And some may argue that Ringo's influence was right up there too, based on his constantly improving solo work).
I think that Beatles fans considering buying this for the first time, should go ahead and do it. I do not think you will be disappointed. Others should be careful. If you are looking for pop, you will not find it here. If you like avant garde, (or better yet, "Avant garde clue") - then you are very likely to love having this in your collection.
shagedelic baby.......2004-01-05
I bought the original vinyl Wonderwall when it was first released on Apple and still have it. A few years later I archived it and bought a German re-release on vinyl, and still have that, too. I confess I haven't got the CD version yet, as I worry that it will be an inferior transfer.
But based on maybe 200 listenings of this album in two of its vinyl versions, I toss out five lovely stars.
The first guitar riff I ever learned on electric guitar was the main Clapton riff on 'Ski-ing'. Thanks Eric, for helping me learn to play ...

There are many things that I would Like to say to you But I don't know how Because maybe You're gonna be the one that saves me And after all You're my wonderwallll
aww i wish someone could sing that song about meeeee!
A must have for any OASIS fan!.......2000-01-15
WOW! I loved this cd! I bought wonderwall cuz i wanted to listen to Round Our Way...I liked that song but feel in love with The Masterplan. This is a cd that gets played over and over again cuz it's that good. Buy it and you will not be sorry. Oasis rules!
Excellent!.......1999-06-28
The Masterplan as a B Side? This just shows the quality of Oasis. Go and buy this record now and you will hear for yourself just how good it is.
Wonderwall is great but The Masterplan is simply incredible.......1998-10-16
"The Masterplan" is the third best song made by Noel, it only loses to "Don't Look Back in Anger" and "Whatever". So what can i say about that? Oasis are the best band that i've ever seem after "The Beatles".Wonderwall is the fourth best song by Oasis and "Round Are Way" is like a Beatle's song.
Oasis's Anthem to love rock n'r roll song.......1998-08-24
Wonderwall is a soothing rock song song carried by Liam Galagher's strong voice lamenting aobut the feelings for a freind. Destined to be a rock classic.

redundant for fans, but you can't argue with this.......2005-04-29
By the time of the UK single release of "Wonderwall", Oasis were very much making it clear that they were a no-nonsense band when it came to b-sides with Noel Gallagher having a seemingly bottomless supply of terrific songs to unload. The thing though was that the b-sides, in general, were only being released in the UK. That said, this "Wonderwall" EP which was released in the US was a great bargain. Of course, it's got the classic title track from "(What's The Story) Morning Glory?". In addition to this, it gives a taste of their excellence when it comes to b-sides--"Round Are Way", with its bluesy harmonica and horns, is a rousing feel-good tune which is also on the UK "Wonderwall" single; "Talk Tonight" is a tender acoustic ballad sung by Noel from the UK "Some Might Say" single; "Rockin' Chair" is a yearning mid-tempo pop-rocker from the UK "Roll With It" single; & the disc ends with the smoking live cover of "I Am The Walrus" from the UK "Cigarettes & Alcohol" single. All that said, for any serious Oasis fan who already owned all the UK singles, this is basically a redundant release. Additionally, "Talk Tonight", "Rockin' Chair", & "I Am The Walrus" all turned up on the 1998 b-sides collection "The Masterplan", although the latter track was apparently edited. Still, this 5 track EP offered about a half hour's worth of superb music, and I believe the list price was $6.49 which made it a great deal, and additionally, it perhaps served the useful purpose of making people realize Oasis had a LOT more to offer than just what was on the actual albums. I also want to point out a couple things that TOTAL diehard fans will notice--the version of "Talk Tonight" on here features someone (Noel?) making a comment regarding batteries that doesn't appear on the UK "Some Might Say" version (!); also, the version of "Rockin' Chair" on here just starts as opposed to fading in the way it does on the UK "Roll With It" single.
Can't go wrong with this one.......2004-06-17
I first heard these tracks while browsing in a Musicland store in the mid-90's; picked up the disc and brought it home the same day.
If you can think of an album as a novel, then this is one heck of a good novella--short but incredible.
Wonderwall - you've likely heard already. Good song.
Round Are Way - plays over the credits of "A Life Less Ordinary," and oddly left off that movie's soundtrack. Great, powerful track.
Talk Tonight - Quiet, acoustic... full of something like loneliness but, I wouldn't call it a depressing song. Just much more mellow. Lyrically and musically, I like it.
Rockin' Chair - somewhere inbetween the tempo & sound of Round Are Way and Talk Tonight is this little number. Another beautiful performance. Listen to me, lol. I don't even own any other Oasis albums. But this little collection just stuck with me.
I Am The Walrus - I heard this version before I ever heard the Beatles' original. This performance is epic--pure electric guitar madness. It seems to go on forever, looping and vibrating like some great machine busting its gears. Just fantastic.
You won't regret this. Get a copy. (Hey Amazon--you should be paying me for this kind of endorsement, ya know that?)
signed,
A Music Lover

This is the best ever version of the Oasis chestnut! As funny in its three or so minutes as all the Austen Powers combined! It actually charted higher than the original version in Britain. Those Brits are wacky!
