Travelin' Bone

Editorial Reviews
Spinsheet Magazine, September 2002
Travelin' Bone is music for the travelin' soul, vibrantly entertaining. Taj Mahal and Eric Clapton's efforts have not gone unheard.

Orangeville Music Review, August 2002
Refreshingly new, great guitar work, a must for those traveling and those who would like to be...

Album Description
With roots in country rock, slide guitar and maritime music, Mike's songs have been labeled from Maritime Folk Rock to Alternative Country to Americana. The rich, warm vocals and tasty guitar licks are highlighted by finger picking, bottle-neck slide and driving rythms. His style of writing makes his toe-tapping tunes fun to hear and easy to relate to. The lyrics bring out Mike's warmth and sense of adventure.

The Songs: Living a travelin' bone lifestyle, Mike has been lucky to meet wonderful people worldwide. Track 5, People You Meet, highlights the special friends who make life so good.

Track 9, Nova Scotia Fisherman, describes Mike's first transatlantic sailboat crossing, words of wisdom from an old salt and scenes from along the way.

Breezeway Cafe, Track 10, takes you to a cool place in the shade where long distance friends and sailors gather to exchange tales, swap lies and escape the heat.

The instrumental Track 6, On My Way, captures the excitement felt at the beginning of any trip.
