Captured Live In Texas - Live & Limited Volume 2
Editorial Reviews
Album Description
The follow up to 2003's Live & Limited Volume 1 (now sold out and a collector's item), CAPTURED LIVE IN TEXAS - LIVE & LIMITED VOLUME 2 was recorded at a number of THE STONE COYOTES shows in Houston, Texas where the band finds a second home. The CD contains 13 tracks, pulling from all five of the band's studio releases. Also included is the live staple, but previously unreleased on any album, "Daddy's In The Jailhouse".
The album opens with an extended listen into the band's live shows as "Plain American Girl" features Barbara Keith on piano, followed by "Torn Asunder" and "The Mark Of Cain" recorded in an acoustic fashion. The songs still contain their rock attitude but are heard in a different, more stripped-away, setting. The remainder of the album finds the band tearing through a set of their familiar four-on-the-floor distortion drenched guitar and driving bass sound.
Included on the CD is also the video footage from the live cuts of "Odessa" (which was written by Keith for Elmore Leonard's novel "Be Cool" - currently in production as a major motion picture) and the fan favorite "The First Lady Of Rock".
Each disc is numbered to 2500 and the limited run is sure to be gone in a blink of an eye.
