About the Artist
While U Wait... ...In life, it seems as if there is a constant struggle between man and the ever-ticking machine we call time. As much as we try to force time to bend in submission to our will, it seems like we are always waiting for SOMETHING. Early on we learn that 'patience is a virtue', yet we zap our dinners in the microwave and shop for everything from music to soul mates using the fastest internet connections we can find, and without ever stepping foot outside or having any contact with a single human being...I mean, who has the TIME anymore?...After all, 'time IS money', right?...ESPECIALLY in the music industry...In our efforts to become 'fast and efficient', we are replacing people with processors, raw talent with the 'smoke and mirrors' of marketing, and creativity with financially driven formulas...it's almost down to a science these days...just plug some numbers into a spreadsheet, place an artist into the machine and BAM, you've got a complete package to sell to the masses for millions of dollars...and we buy it because after all, what else IS there?... It's almost as if we are loosing our human connection to the world and to music. Think back to the last song u heard on the radio that made u FEEL something...other than the need to get on the floor and 'shake something'?...no doubt, the radio can have us dancing with the best of them...but what happened to music that evokes some kind of emotion...music that u can relate to on a personal level...what about FEELING a real connection to the song and the artist???...I am not saying that it never happens on mainstream radio anymore...it's just rare. Well, if that is something that you miss as much as we do, here is something for you to listen to While U Wait...
So, While U Wait...for the bus, the train, or ur ride...While U Wait...for ur promotion or ur BIG BREAK...While U Wait for there to be something on the radio that moves you...listen to this...While U Wait...

Customer Reviews:
honest music.......2006-01-18
Finally some honest music from honest artists that is certainly not your typical 'neo-soul' stuff that we have all grown so tired of. This is real r&b y'all just as Eric Roberson states in the beginning of his song 'I Dare U 2 Stay'. However, Abby Dobson does a great job starting things off with her heartfelt lyrics on '4 the love'. She obviously has seen a few things in the music industry that has compelled her to tell her side of the story & let everyone know that she does sing 4 the love. My other favorites include Ebony 'Can't Let Go'(the beat & hook are crazy on this one!), Chinahblac 'Bae-be'(performance reminds me of the ever-soulful Bilal & again the beat is great), Wynter 'Love Like This'(can't remember the last time I heard REAL r&b like this). Great job to everyone on the cd & I can't wait to hear more! Music really needs this.
It's okay.......2006-01-12
I really got this album for that Eric Roberson song ("I Dare U to Stay") and, just as I feared, that's the only great song on here. This is just another one of those generic neo-soul albums with all these people you never heard of and probably won't hear from again. Oh yeah, what's up with that "Nursery Rhymes" song? Kinda corny.
The "Wait" Is Finally Over..........2005-06-14
Mark & Nicole Hamilton (h2O) deserve the utmost praise for producing an album of the highest order.
I have yearned for the good times when albums were comprised of maybe just 9/10 tracks of real quality. That is exactly what we have here with "While U Wait" (no fillers or annoying interludes!)
You will probably have heard the track samples by now - I'll leave it up to you to form your own opinion on the album's strengths, in the confines of this review, I simply can't do it justice (I need a rooftop and a megaphone!) ;o)
They have managed to transcend the genre with this release. The majority of so-called compilations that I have heard in the past were almost guaranteed to have me reaching for the remote (>>) at some point, not so here. I can't remember the last time that I heard a compilation of this consistency throughout. In fact, to call this album a mere compilation is to do this body of work an injustice, sorry M & N (it's too good for that!)
Like most of you reading this, I was drawn to this album from Eric Roberson's endorsement via his forum. Any album with his input is worth the money alone (in my opinion) but this isn't about him, it's about another bright new addition to our world that hopefully continues to go from strength to strength and enrich our ears (and lives) for many years to come.
Honest music, honest songwriting, honest artistry (period!)
The health & fitness industry generally advise the consumption of 8 glasses of "h2O" per day for good health - They had better make that 9!
