About the Artist
For many years Dogs have been the "House Band" to Yosemite National Park. Lovedogananda and Gary Sears began a musical partnership while working as singing waiters in Sacramento. Lovedog moved to Yosemite and began gigging in mountain bars. Sears soon followed him down and the two were soon joined by Dave Jess on bass and Bobby Metzler on drums. They soon developed a solid following all over the Sierras. Dogs added a second drummer, James Stewart in 1997. Dogs continue to leave tracks in the Western Sierra, always returning to play in the town where the litter was thrown, El Portal, on the Western edge of Yosemite.

Dogs debut is an eclectic hybrid of power pop, ska and reggae with a little country twang. It's big fun to dance to. Lyrically it's witty wild and thought provoking.
